Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

My DH mutters "Are you dispensing Guinea-Pig Advice" when I'm on Small Pets .

Usually I am.
My Go-To Threads are Christmas obviously , Small Pets Telly Addicts and Style&Beauty .

Hope everyone has a good and peaceful weekend.
I;m watching QVC at the moment (Christmas Trees Xmas Grin ) but I'll buy one elsewhere.

WreckTangled · 06/10/2018 07:07

Perfect evening crazy! Did you have a temperature? That's always how I feel when I have one.

Oh fluffy unpicking doesn't sound fun you have more patience than me.

Psb my sister goes to tattoo conventions her and bil often get tattoos from famous tattooists when on holiday they've had ones in Barcelona, Germany, LA possibly more.

Weather is meant to be awful today wet and cold so can't see us doing much.

WreckTangled · 06/10/2018 07:17

Also I don't think I live near any of you?

NoWordForFluffy · 06/10/2018 07:38

Wreck, it was either abandon it or unpick, so I chose the latter! I wasn't happy, but at least unpicking is quicker than cross stitching.

CrazyBaubles · 06/10/2018 07:41

MrsMad I haven't dared to tell him I've said anything about where I live - I did wonder if I've ever crossed paths with you unknowingly though!

Fluffy how frustrating about your cross stitch. Please keep us updated with pictures of it.

Wreck my temp was odd. Thermometer said it was fine but I kept feeling either boiling or freezing.
Where are you based?

I got up at 6 because I couldn't sleep and it was raining then. I've climbed back into bed so I'm not sure if it's still going.
Plan for the day is to do a few errands, meet a friend for lunch then home to rest 😴

WreckTangled · 06/10/2018 07:45

My nearest city is the one Prince William and MM visited this week Grin if you draw a line between there a Guildford you will find me in the middle Grin

Dd was at a sleepover last night and I think she's being dropped off the morning. I feel I need to get dressed ASAP as no idea when they're coming?! They have a horse so I think it could be early...

Mrsmadevans · 06/10/2018 07:53

Morning all Smile
Up to the parents then taking Mum to knit & nat another gossip club under the guise of a craft afternoon Hmm
Shaky has not eaten but we tried to make him eat several times but he nearly ripped us to pieces which did make us think he can't be that ill if he can be that strong ! Anyway he has poohed all over the landing normal pooh, not loose , no mucous, no blood and DH stepped in it Xmas Grin you should have heard the fuss he made Xmas Grin l shouldn't laugh because l was the one who had to clean it up Envy
So do you think that is a good sign that he has had a normal pooh?
fingers crossed .....
Fluffy l must confess l don't think l would have unpicked the tree ... l admire your determination! However that is a beautiful cross stitch so l may have succumbed to the beautiful pattern and behaved myself Xmas Grin
PSB is there a sort of thing about watching ppl get their tattoos done , like the fascination of the sporners on here ? Or did she come for moral support ? Just curious , never thought of it before , l am very inexperienced re tattoos please excuse my ignorance Flowers
70 l do Telly Addicts and dip into the word games now n again Grin
I am drinking a lovely cup of tea and watching Midsomer Murders , it is raining outside and just lovely Smile
Have a lovely Saturday everyone Smile

Mrsmadevans · 06/10/2018 08:03

Have a lovely lunch with your friend, it will do you good m'dear Smile

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/10/2018 08:33

Morning! Woke up at 5.10 with my lovely app, did wash, put PE kit, swimming cap and towel in bags, DS2 woke up at 6.23, possibly because he didn't get to sleep until 8, will go to Sainsbury's for breakfast when he's hungry. 😋🍳

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/10/2018 08:48

The tree looks lovely Fluffy.

Wreck I only have a couple of tattoos, I'd have more, but DH doesn't like them.

I definitely don't live near any of you. I'm quite envious of those of you who live in the countryside!

Mrs people do like watching people getting tattooed, it might be for moral support, but I didn't need it. She lives near to where I lived then, and she gets work done by the same tattooist. He was telling some terrible jokes, I had to tell him to stop, I was shaking so much with laughter, I was worried he'd go wrong! 😂

I just click on anything that comes up in Active! 😂

Mrsmadevans · 06/10/2018 08:57

Ahhh l thought it might be interesting for ppl to watch PSB, l try active but inevitably then go to my usual hauning ground Xmas Grin
Have just bought a s t r e t c h Armstrong (Amazon) for my great nephew, either off me or Mum for Christmas, it was £10.97 for the large one which is a great price . Smile

WreckTangled · 06/10/2018 09:57

It's so nice to have a day where I don't have to do anything! Dd still isn't home and ds is eating his body's worth in food (so far: a chocolate crepe, raspberries, big bowl of porridge, bowl of blueberry wheats, a massive peach). I've lit some candles to try and make it feel a bit warmer in here.

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/10/2018 09:57

DS2's having a bitesize breakfast, I'm having a sausage baguette. 😋🍳

WreckTangled · 06/10/2018 12:41

Perfect 😁😁

Miracle on 34th Street? Dickie Attenborough is Santa! 🎅

Bought a devil skeleton for DS2 and 3 hanging ghosts for me. 😈👻

DS2 had cheese and tomato pizza for lunch. 😋🍕

CrazyBaubles · 06/10/2018 16:48

Wreck that looks like the perfect way to spend an afternoon!

I am just home from meeting my friend for lunch. We met in town and ended up having a wander around the shops as I feel a bit rubbish and she is having a hard time. She's a Christmas fan like me so we had a good look around any Christmas stock we could find - for us, it was in M&S, Wilkinson, Matalan and an independent craft shop.
The Matalan stuff especially was gorgeous so I've cheered up a bit and am home to rest up again now 🎄

Mrsmadevans · 06/10/2018 17:12

Wreck l am loving your Tv unit and that lamp is gorgeous !
PSB the 3 hanging ghosts has made me lol and l don't know why ahhh it might be the play on words ..as in 'hanging' meaning vile. Nah it still isn't funny but it tickled me anyway Xmas Grin
Poor Shaky is still not eating , we have given him some Metacam and are feeding him via Syringe , he will be going back to the vets pronto on Monday.
Crazy Hope you are feeling much better m'dear Flowers
Better shift and do tea hope everyone is fine Smile

WreckTangled · 06/10/2018 17:26

Thanks Mrs! The dc were awful after the film had been on for about an hour and have continued to be so.

Dinner was butternut squash risotto with broccoli and mange tout. Apple pie and custard for pudding!

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/10/2018 17:27

😂 No they're not vile Mrs, they're actually very cute!

Making chicken and parmesan risotto, which we'll have with garlic bread. 😋🍗

NoWordForFluffy · 06/10/2018 17:30

We've been into the village today and had a little trip to Costa. I took advantage of the WiFi as we STILL haven't been reconnected (it's a sorry bloody saga that has worn me out too much to even tell you about it!).

We bought a word search book for DD as she really wanted one and a magazine for DS and posted chilli jam to Scotland, a card to NZ plus two sets of Lego cards to MNers!

I've done gardening today, mowing, planting 15 strawberry plants grown from runners and sorting the veg patch by hoeing and sowing green manure seeds too. I've also done more cross stitch. Productive!

Allotment tomorrow while the DC are at a party with DH. Busy, busy.

Forgot to take my winter coat to the dry cleaner though. DH can do it in the week!

We are at PILs in France this week, and it's absolutely glorious. Been around 25 degrees today. Felt very odd booking my Christmas Morrisons delivery!

MrsM hope your puss cat is doing better.

I'm furious on your behalf re: your siblings! They are basically saying their parents are your problem!

My DM ended up in the same position with my Nana, and my uncle who was learning disabled.

At their funerals, it was interesting to see how much each of my other 4 uncles deluded themselves that they had helped take care of them (one of them had only visited my Nana about 6 times in the 10 years before she died - she used to call him Lord Lucan Grin).

Acey I did the law degree, lpc, training contract route to qualifying as a solicitor, so feel free to ask any questions. Do you know what you want to do with your degree yet?

Sorry to hear your shoulder isn't any better, Fluffy. Fingers crossed about your jobs next week.

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/10/2018 19:21

DS2 will go to bed at 7.30. 😴

Lallypopstick · 06/10/2018 19:44

It feels very autumnal tonight. Dark nights, Strictly on. Lovely.

CrazyBaubles · 06/10/2018 20:09

I'm clearly not completely over this bug - I fell asleep when I got home and sat down (after pottering around for half an hour). Flat out to the point I missed a call even though my phone was on vibrate and on my lap Blush

I feel freezing cold so have switched the heating on and the fire until the house heats up (although that might be my temp).

I'm going to attempt to make a candle this evening. I have leftover wax from various candles and want to make a layered candle. Can I use glue to attach the wick to the bottom of the jar does anyone know?

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/10/2018 20:15

It's been very autumnal all day here today. The rain had already started when we went out for breakfast, it had properly got going by the time I went back out again to do the shopping (I never take the DC shopping if I can avoid it). Lovely to get in and get warm and dry, particularly as I have a cold.
