Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

Dropped the DC off at the station, having spicy beanburger, chips and salad for lunch. 😋🍔🍟

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 22/10/2018 17:21

Making chicken arrabiata for supper, which I'll have with garlic bread. 😋🍝

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 22/10/2018 17:23

Fur I couldn't keep Christmas handwash for 2 years, I'd have to keep it out until I'd finished it! Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 22/10/2018 18:07

I'm sure I read somewhere that Waitrose do a nice Christmas handwash? We are a lot lower brow than that as I've bought the Carex Chocolate Orange handwash for the last few christmases and everyone loves it!

Just home from work, light bit of housework done and lasagne in the oven for tea. Just going to crack on with some crochet until DH gets home. Don't think I have time to really settle into anything on the Christmas movie channels though..

WreckTangled · 22/10/2018 18:11

We went for a walk at a NT place this afternoon. I'm sleepy now, even more so because I'm sitting at ds' swimming lesson and it's so hot in here I could fall asleep 😴

Heavystream · 22/10/2018 18:40

Evening all, this time next week we’ll be moved in to our new home!. We had chips for dinner tonight and have been to the beach. It’s freezing here!

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 22/10/2018 18:44

I have to be a bit careful with scents, as DD has sensory issues to do with smell, eg, she doesn't like bubble gum scented handwash. Chocolate orange might be out. Haloween Sad

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 22/10/2018 18:45

It was hot around 1pm here Heavy but it started getting cold around 5pm. ❄❄❄❄❄

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2018 19:04

The wind is bitter here. I've just put the dark wash on the line and our bedding is in the wash to go out in a bit. The towels will wash overnight. The bedding will dry overnight as it's so windy, even though it's cold.

I'm in bed. Halloween Grin

I loved the L'Occitane Cinnamon&Orange soap ( bar , not available in liquid) but it's discontinued Xmas Shock

M&S do a nice festive handwash and I'm using Method at the moment (I'm sure they'll do a Christmassy one)
Astonish Rhubarb&Raspberry is nice too.

DD and I went to Lakeside (I had a day of leave to pick DH up) she's on half term.

Lots of Christmas stuff now squeezing in , I'm doing my lists (checking them twice , yes Xmas Grin ) but planning for Hallowe'en at the moment .

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/10/2018 19:22

I left my guinea-pigs' fleeces out all night , they were ver' ver' judgey that they got darked on .

Hopefully it won't rain.

WreckTangled · 22/10/2018 19:54

I just had a bath so hot that I now can't feel my legs 😁 whilst dd read ds three bedtime stories. They're both in bed now but ds wants me to come in once I'm dressed.

I'm not hanging anymore washing out. I did it on Sunday when it was really warm and it still didn't dry.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2018 20:09

We have a coastal breeze. It dries all year round if it's dry! Though even if it doesn't dry, it dries more quickly inside having been out. We have a dryer but rarely use it. #tight

I haven't put any washing out for weeks! I won't leave it out overnight as we back on to woods and it came in with lots of instects last time, and I'm not organised enough to put it out before work (and DH generally leaves before me). I want a heated airer but can't bring myself to spend the money they cost!

PSB it's a shame about the handwash - it goes down well here (as does the strawberry laces smelling one). We're a very mature household as you can tell and there are no dc here to blame either

I'm suddenly very tired because we have the heating on. DH is ill and is next to me sniffing and sneezing - I'm trying to be sympathetic but he's getting on my nerves

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/10/2018 21:36

I got a heated airer from Aldi, it cost under £20 , not massive , 6 'rungs' but it does the job well.

I have a fold up one that I'm planning to lend to the guineas for their fleeces ( they'd need to be very nearly dry before I hung them over , piggies don't like damp) . If I can air dry them outdoors then by the radiator to complete the dry , I might be ok.

(I could also teach them to use a litter tray but that would no more happen than them learning to fly)

TheWoollybacksWife · 22/10/2018 21:39

Crazy I've got the Fine Elements heated airer from Amazon. It's half the price of the Lakeland one (about £33) and it can fit a full load of laundry on although I tumble pants, socks, towels and just put the big stuff on the airer.

WreckTangled · 23/10/2018 07:20

63!!

I'm working in the toy shop today. I'm really tired though because ds was up lots in the night with growing pains and ended up in our bed. 😴

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 23/10/2018 07:44

Morning! Just getting up. 😆

NoWordForFluffy · 23/10/2018 07:53

Morning!

Our two slept so well after two nights of not enough sleep! They had about an hour in the car yesterday, and then almost-12 hours does DS and just over 12 hours for DD. They've both woken happy, which is good!

I've got errands to run today, so will be all over everywhere. I need to dig over where the spuds were at the allotment and get it covered with membrane to suppress weeds.

God. First argument already. That peace didn't last!

I love the dress!!

Sainsbury clothes 25% off from today, might see what dresses they have.

Heavystream · 23/10/2018 08:32

Morning all!. Just getting ready to drop Arthur off at school. I left my window open all night so it’s freezing. Hope you all have a good day

NerosFiddle · 23/10/2018 09:08

It is so cold here today. I've had to put the heating on this morning to take the cold out of the air. DC are watching their half hour of CBeebies, so I'm catching up with you

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 23/10/2018 09:54

Mine are at my aunt's she had them out building a den yesterday evening, I haven't even bothered to ask her to stop all outdoor activity 3 hours before bedtime, because she doesn't believe in ADHD. Halloween Hmm Is it wrong to hope that DS2 woke up at 4am? Halloween Grin
