Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

What I don't miss is DS2 pressing his toes against the inside of my ribs. No one who's never been pregnant can ever imagine what that feels like.

DS2 had a bitesize breakfast, I had a ham and mushroom omelette.

I've got shortbread Christmas wreaths.

Fluffy I have ordered one carrot 🙈. I have to work out what dinners to make with what I've got.

This reminds me of when DSM did the Christmas online food shop. Tesco delivered everything except the turkey. Cue DSM zooming round town on Christmas Eve trying to find the last Christmas turkey.

Fluffy I don't think I've ever bought a proper frame for my cross stitch, I always measure them and then loiter in charity shops looking at their cheaper paintings/frames and using those! I hope you don't hit any traffic today, safe journey :)

Nero Oh no! are you able to make up lots of gnocci? That freezes well too. I buy all my bananas at the local co-op now as tesco a few times kept changing my order, apparently 11 bananas must have been error? I've also been asked what I do with them all by the delivery driver once? ehhh???

Heavy oh no, standing at the football is the worst, it's a fact that whatever the weather it's always 5 degrees less at the side of a football pitch, I'm stuck watching DS every sunday. Lots of hot drinks and toast or cake when you go home? hot tea cakes are lovely to warm up with.

The DC had Pukka pies for lunch, we've just had chicken dopiaza for supper. 😋🍛

Pmsl at 5kg of potatoes and 1 carrot . I've had potatoes keep for months in the garage in winter, so there's not a massive rush to use them - they'll be good for jackets on bonfire night!

That wreath sounds yummy, PSB. I'm going to have to lose some weight before Christmas, to enjoy some treats - my clothes are getting rather tight

Have been to the parents for a long time today , we went after shopio for them at 10 am and we were there till 11.30 am. We went for a lovely walk and then returned to sort them out again. there till 2.30 then both of us. Dad had terrible constipation and had taken so much jallop to go that he has now gone and is keeping on going and can't stop . I knew this would happen but he won't listen to me. Anyway he felt so bad that l went and got some Dioralyte to replace the salt & sugars he must have lost which is why he must be feeling so poorly. Poor Dad l did feel so bad for him. He is 88 and he said 'l am not getting any better'. I mean, he is 88 he isn't going to get any better but he is concentrating on what he can't do, instead of the positives that he can. I don't know what else to do for him tbh. Anyway we came from there and l rang my DSIS and asked her to go up to see how he was now to put my mind at rest. I know Dad is going to die someday and we will be devastated but this gradual decline is very sad to watch. He used to be so active . This is why he feels so sad and complains so about not getting better. Just had an update from DSIS and he seems to be a little better thank God!
Anyway, we are home now and just getting tea sorted , fish & chips a la DH and the oven lol

My lovely DS has just come home and been a bit 'tired and emotional' (aka drunk) over the toilet floor
He's not much of a drinker anyway , couple of pints , but he's been a bit bleurgh all week.

I've said the next time its up to him to clean up, but I've steam mopped the floor and made him sip Ribena slowly .

With any luck it'll put him off the booze !

We are all well awake after night 1 in the Premier Inn! I had almost 9 hours' sleep. Wooooo! The kids have only had 10, so will be grumpy later. Joy!

Breakfast at 8; you have to book at the weekend. We might go down a bit early though.
