Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

Morning everyone

CrazyBaubles · 19/10/2018 09:39

I've heard lots about Booths but don't think we have that here in Wales?

I've just left my desk to have some breakfast and stumbled on the Christmas tree - show my your tree thread which has put a positive vibe on my morning!

Planning to do some serious Christmas planning / buying / organising this weekend

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/10/2018 10:41

Sneaks onto thread.
Hello y'all , tries on the Hallowe'en hat Halloween Grin firs nicely.

I ordered some nice beauty things from M&S ( for DD and myself) to pick up tomorrow. I would just go instore but I bet the farm they wouldn't have them.

DD is under whelmed by Hallowe'en this year (she feels too old for it but too young to go out to some of the racier hotspots in Essex) . She might plan something but it's during a school week this year .

I am cleaning and de-cluttering (honest ) just going to sort the bathroom.
Have a good weekend , we'll be getting to the days where I won't go out to the shops unless its late night , parking is a bu**er.

WreckTangled · 19/10/2018 11:10

Mrs they've not been showing for a few days

Should be a row of them ^^ let's see if it works.

It was free coffee and cake but the dc have been so horrible we ended up not going.

PhilomenaMothra · 19/10/2018 12:22

I can't see the festive llamas. 😭

PhilomenaMothra · 19/10/2018 13:20

Had super scrambled egg for breakfast, DD had a Pukka pie for lunch. 😋😋

NoWordForFluffy · 19/10/2018 15:43

I've been to Booths and got the Christmas book. Photos attached! 🎄🎅🎄🎅

Then we went to the allotment and dug our potatoes up. There weren't as many as I'd hoped, but they'll keep us going for a while!

Booths do delivery for those not nearby. The food is delicious. 😋😋

Picked DS2 up, bought Halloween cakes at the cake sale, making pulled pork burritos for supper, watching Frozen. 🎃😋

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/10/2018 19:35

Oh I really hope SIL brings my book tomorrow Fluffy

I've got visitors all weekend 🍾 which will be brilliant.

I picked up some more decorations today for my hall tree. I'll post some pictures next week - I need some more baubles but I'm not sure what to get. Maybe someone with a good eye for colour/texture can help.

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 19/10/2018 19:56

DS2 was in bed by 7, DD will go at 8.20. 😴

NoWordForFluffy · 19/10/2018 20:16

I've just wrapped some presents! 🎁

We are visiting my parents this weekend and won't be down again before Christmas, so I have to be organised! I've also wrapped my mum's birthday present for January to take down.

We had to dig through the stack of kids' presents to find stuff. We may have too much! 😂

FireflyGirl · 19/10/2018 20:40

Wanna see my baubles, Woolly ShockWink

Well done on the wrapping, Fluffy Grin

Seafoodeatit · 19/10/2018 22:23

Acey Love your enthusiasm, it definitely cheers me up :) I'm 24 weeks on sunday, the last few days morning sickness seems to returning [confusing]. I hope your appointment goes well on Monday!

Fur I love your chocolate stash! my tin of oreos arrived today after seeing it on your link. Xmas Grin

mrsmad Glad you called them, hopefully they'll do the right thing and stop spamming your parents now!

fluffy brilliant looking spuds Xmas Grin I did think for a second that it was the cover for your christmas book though! Grin

70 Way to go on the decluttering, we desperately need to do some too.

Wooly I'm happy to have a gander, no help I'm afraid as I'm pretty higgledy piggeldy and just stick to a basic theme aka red alongside random stuff.

DS1 is not impressed, it's his birthday and parents evening on Monday, thankfully they are always very positive, I hope it stays that way once puberty turns him into an annoying zombie a la kevin from harry enfield & chums he's a teenager!

Seafoodeatit · 19/10/2018 22:26

I finished the draught excluder thingy. I was a bit miffed though, it says it's a kit but it only is the front? I had to buy the back fabric and stuffing separately, it felt like buying a duvet set but needing to buy the pillows separately and it all needing sewing or something. Maybe I'm just too cheap Blush. Came up to almost £40 in the end, would have not bought it but got it as a birthday present for my sister and didn't have the heart to tell her it didn't have everything & would be too much overall...

Morning! Did a wash at 5.05. Will help DS2 get dressed in a minute, will have breakfast in the Sainsbury's café when it opens at 8. 😋🍳

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2018 07:26

Urgh, DS woke early today (6.38). He did home in with us until 7 though as we weren't getting up then!

Hairdresser is coming at 8.30 and we will be heading straight down the motorway afterwards to my home town (also where Woolly lives!).

WreckTangled · 20/10/2018 07:48

Sea it looks amazing though!

Ds didn't wake us up until five minutes ago. Dd is still in bed. 😴

FireflyGirl · 20/10/2018 07:54

DS has been up since 6.10, which is very early for him. He was in bed quite early last night, which is why. I was not impressed that it was still dark, though!

He played in his bedroom for an hour, but not very quietly, so I couldn't go back to sleep Sad.

Safe trip, Fluffy family.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2018 08:00

It IS awesome, Seafood. Pain in the arse though, I agree!

I've not gone near the cross stitch this week. Now I know I can go fast, I'm not rushing to get the second one started! I don't think we can afford to get them mounted / framed this year anyway!

NerosFiddle · 20/10/2018 10:16

Morning all. Just had my Tesco order delivered. I really should have double checked my list last night. I've ended up with 5 bags of potatoes and loads of peppers. But I've forgotten to get things like lasagna sheets and garlic.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2018 10:31

I'm guilty of purchasing 1 item instead of kg quite often, Nero! One carrot or apple won't last long! 🙈😂

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 20/10/2018 10:41

Mashed potatoes freeze very well Neros and you can always have a practice run of parboiling and freezing spuds for roasties ahead of doing them for Christmas. In fact I applaud you for your forward thinking

Safe journey Fluffy

Heavystream · 20/10/2018 11:02

Morning all! We’re at Arthur’s football match this morning and I’m absolutely freezing. I forgot to bring chairs so I’m sat on my coats and trying to entertain Lorcan and John. Baby is kicking loads this morning too so feeling a little uncomfortable. Hope you’re doing well!.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2018 11:18

The M6 is such a tedious road. It feels like most is restricted to 50mph too these days.

Heavy, I don't miss hefty baby movements. They made me 🤢 Gentle kicks were nice!

We're stopping at Shugborough on the way. Give the kids a run about!
