I know l am shocked at how lucky l was to be there at the same time. I wasn't going to go up again either, just went to do the washing and take her the mag and figs, while the girls were going . I am still pinching myself at how lucky l was there such a coincidence ....unbelievable! I know that the girls would have sorted it for them but they would have been less on the ball lol Grin
At least Moi thinks so lol Xmas Grin . Nobody does it better than Mumma!

Morning!
Can’t sleep as feeling all the emotions for my scan; nervous, excited, anxious, apprehensive, happy!

I will reply individually to all of you later, but wanted to quickly update 😁

Nightmare neighbours are still screaming, shouting and generally being rude, antisocial and frustrating. Last night they were sat in their back garden with the tv on full blast out there, taking drugs, screaming, shouting, fighting, drinking and just being the usual nightmare that they are. Police were called again, but they are saying it’s a matter for the council, council are saying it’s a police matter.

I moved to the uk from the Republic of Ireland 8 months ago, for a temporary work contract. I have had to deal with these neighbours from the day I arrived. I’ve contacted the council so many times I’ve lost count, and all am told is call the police and fill out diary sheets, I do this but nothing ever gets sorted. It’s unlikely that they will be out anytime in the near future. However, there is now light at the end of the tunnel for me; my work contract I came over here for expires at the end of this month. I have also woken up today, with a very rude, aggressive and crystal clear message from my baby daddy, that he is in no way, shape or form going to be involved with the baby and he never wants to hear from me again. Those two things combined mean that in just a few short weeks, I will be moving back home to Ireland for good! All my family are there, my brothers will be moving back with me, and I can’t wait to raise my baby in the place where I grew up, and the place where I call home and love so much, surrounded by the most important people in the world to me! 😁

In regards to the weekend incident with nightmare neighbours, no one was injured thankfully, although when they found out I had called the police, they put a brick threw three of my windows - yet this still isn’t enough for the council to evict them!

Cor that was longer than I thought haha, but all in all, the end of having to deal with them is in sight😁.

AceyMac13 · 20/09/2018 05:16

Thank you Philomena😊

NoWordForFluffy · 20/09/2018 06:12

That's a shit council. Most tend to be hot on anti-social behaviour. But...head down, keep going til you leave! It'll be nice for baby to be brought up amongst your family.

Good luck with the scan. 😁

Seafood, how did your scan go?

My Friday today. Whooooo! Then it's a digging / planting day at the allotment tomorrow. Exciting! It's finishing my flower bulbs and putting in onion sets. I might get some plants at Dobbies later, such as leeks, Brussels and caulis, if they have them.

Ache that's so shit but you seem really happy with the knowledge that you can move back home so I'm pleased for you there. Can you leave twatty neighbours a goodbye present? Wink

My Friday too and I'm so please as had an awful nights sleep after ds' duvet fell off at 2:30 Hmm he went straight back to sleep but I couldn't.

Redgreencoverplant · 20/09/2018 07:16

So glad you are moving home Acey!

Have started work on the master bedroom but bagging stuff up for charity :) need to sit down with my Christmas planner this evening as I feel I am falling behind. Is M&S out soon?!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/09/2018 07:19

Probably two weeks yesterday, Red. Or 3, depending whether they go slightly early or slightly late!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/09/2018 07:23

Ooh. Just used this link to order my Booths' Christmas book, though there's no indication it's worked, so I've no idea if it's a live page or an old one!

Not related to Christmas, but DD's swimming costumes are on their way! 😆

AceyMac13 · 20/09/2018 08:59

Hi all - another quick update!
Baby is fine, upside down and being a cheeky monster as the lady can’t get the measurements 😂 she’s sent me for a walk and a drink and then she will try again! It was crazy to see my little angel moving and kicking and hiding away whenever she tried to get the measurement 😂
I will upload a pic after my next scan any minute now 😁

AceyMac13 · 20/09/2018 09:27

Baby due 26.03.19 - I am beyond happy and he / she really is the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen!
Baby had moved around but still wasn’t playing ball 😂 waiting for bloods to be done now!

BiddyPop · 20/09/2018 09:52

Another zombie morning. DH never got going yesterday - his early morning flight having been cancelled, he rebooked on the 13:30 one, and gave up when there was still no sign of anything starting towards boarding at 17:15, to just come home again. I fed him, and DD, and then went out to the lecture I was going to - which was really interesting but the dinner ran late so I didn't get home until 11pm. And I woke at 4.30 - I think because I was awake then yesterday.....

DF staying tonight, so I had to move a load of things out of sight (planning for his surprise birthday party).

Today I have my coaching session (to tell me how bad my colleagues think I am - results of a 360 degree feedback thing - eek!). And hopefully getting one project over a significant milestone!!! I did find my docs before I went home though yesterday. And I'm doing another bundle now before the coach gets here!

PhilomenaButterfly · 20/09/2018 09:58

That baby's going to be a troublesome toddler Acey! 😂

PhilomenaButterfly · 20/09/2018 10:00

Yes it is savage Mrs, thank you. BrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrew

PhilomenaButterfly · 20/09/2018 10:02

I've just had a big breakfast and a banana. 😋🍳🍌

Seafoodeatit · 20/09/2018 10:50

redgreen I love Bill Bryson! I agree with him on so many things, I recently re-read the road to little dribbling.

Acey Lovely scan picture, I'm glad it went well :) wow they sound absolutely awful, I'm glad to hear you'll be moving away from them. Sadly with the way funding cuts have gone the police try and shift many things to the council who also have a shoestring budget and 0 appetite to fix anything. I'm sorry to hear that baby's father has spoken to you like that, with moving back home though you should have a support network around you. Flowers

Fluffy Day at the alltoment sounds lovely :) you should travel down and teach me a few things! I have a veg patch but everything is always getting eaten! they grow really well in the greenhouse, the minute I plant them out it's game over :(

Mrsmad Have fun in Cardiff! it's about an hour away from me, I've always wanted to visit but need to convince DH what there is to do there!

PSB you've woken up in the night! :( I'm sorry to hear you're up so early.

Biddy I hope the coaching and feedback goes well, I'm sure you'll get lots of positive comments :)

My scan went well, we stuck to not finding out the sex. I have a growth scan at 35 weeks now but from past experience you can't see anything at those, they're so squished nothing is distinguishable!

We went out for our anniversary meal last night since we had family staying to watch the kids, it feels like it should be a weekend now though!

Heavystream · 20/09/2018 10:57

Glad all your scans have gone well! And I’m sorry that some of you have felt rubbish this morning and got up very early. Hoping you feel better tomorrow!.

It’s John’s birthday next Friday so have sent invitations around the village and am off to buy some balloons and decorations. We still haven’t got him any presents as he seems to change his mind of what he likes so quickly!. He loves musical instruments though so thinking of buying him a music set (God help me!) and then maybe a cuddly toy. I’ll get shopping for them tonight.

Just getting the veggie shepherds pie ready for tea and making some flapjacks with the boys. We haven’t changed our meal plan yet as it’s all easy to make and the boys love It. So think we’ll just make it a termly thing and switch it up some days.

Hope you’re all having a great day!

Redgreencoverplant · 20/09/2018 11:05

That is the one I am rereading seafood :) I was actually awarded my degree by Bill and have a photo with him.

Wonderful news Acey :)

Seafoodeatit · 20/09/2018 12:03

redgreen that's amazing! :) What was he like? we always go into bill bryson mode to each other when we go out, 'you've run out of everything, really? you didn't foresee that on a weekend lots of people would turn out? ' etc Grin

Redgreencoverplant · 20/09/2018 12:56

He was fab seafood, very funny and very tolerant of people wanting photos. He genuinely seemed to enjoy himself :) me and Bill!

Lovely scan, Acey! Glad yours went well too, Seafood.

Sawdust or eggshells to stop slugs and snails. Not 100%, but worked really well this year for us!
