She's not miserable because she has to go to school Grin I can pick her up if need be. If she's well enough to argue then she's well enough for school.

I've ordered 1 each of these for the DC, hope the link works as I've copied it:

PhilomenaButterfly · 18/09/2018 09:38

Having beans on a bagel and a banana today. 😋🍌

BiddyPop · 18/09/2018 10:32

PB I got a necklace very similar, and the "Deathly Hallows Champions" bracelet for DD, they look nice (I ordered about 3 weeks ago and the last package of that order arrived on the weekend).

The wind wasn't too bad here, although enough to get the clothes relatively dry in 2 hours between getting home and before the rain started to threaten properly. But we've now got a yellow warning for tomorrow for wind, and Met Eireann saying likely to have orange for some parts, and a named storm - lots of leaves still on the trees so the worst time for it.

I managed to do a little tidying last night in between DD's homework...and her baking related mess! But the brownies were a small compensation.... Spare bed now made up again (DF staying this week), general tidying done downstairs, dinner for tonight is organized (I just turn on pots when I get home) and I got 1 more pile sorted upstairs. Then when DD was gone to bed, I managed to do 1 more repeat of the pattern on the scarf I'm working on at home, having managed to get some done on my commuting one on the way home (no chance in the mornings as new timetable means fewer and shorter trains then, evenings are also shorter trains but there is 1 extra so the peak seems more spread out).

Better get back to the day job, plenty to get done today....

WreckTangled · 18/09/2018 12:34

I just got tickets to the cursed child Shock they'll be DD's birthday present next year

Heavystream · 18/09/2018 13:29

Hi all, hope you’re all well!. Hopefully soon I will get round to reading all the posts but I’ve been so busy since Arthur started school. I keep forgetting his things because we’re in such a rush in the morning, John hates being woken up early and Lorcan is full of life which isn’t s great mix!. So have had to cart the boys out to drop off Arthur’s bag.

Is it windy by you all? Apparently we’re meant to have a hurricane and we’ve had such heavy winds by us. I sleep with the window open and I had to wake up and shut it this morning because the wind was so loud. Apparently it’s raining a lot tomorrow so think we’ll either be going to soft play or staying in.

PhilomenaButterfly · 18/09/2018 13:34

Very windy here in London Heavy. BTW, we know a Lorcan, it was the 1st time I'd heard the name.

Heavystream · 18/09/2018 13:37

Philomena That’s great! We’ve never met another Lorcan, or a baby John either and when Arthur was born there were very few of them as well!.

PhilomenaButterfly · 18/09/2018 13:43

Do you deliberately pick unusual names? I did.

Heavystream · 18/09/2018 13:50

I’m not sure really because we also considered Jack which is very common. But I like names that most people know of but aren’t unheard of, like for this DS we’re going with Alan!. I suppose it’s just our taste really, and I think a baby with a grown up name is adorable

PhilomenaButterfly · 18/09/2018 13:57

It is. I was on Twitter yesterday and it suggested I follow a YouTuber who's 20-something and it says his real name's George! I've never met a George in his 20s. I really like that. I mentioned it to DD, she did this Hmm face and said "I know."

Heavystream · 18/09/2018 14:21

I do love the name George. It was my favourite boys name growing up. I’m not really a fan of girls names, I’ve only ever liked Juliet, Winnie or DeDe really

AceyMac13 · 18/09/2018 15:33

@seafood - my scan is on Thursday but thank you for thinking of me 😁 I’ve got baby brain at the moment, have you had your 20 week scan? Hope it all went well if you did

I haven’t been able to catch up with this thread due to problems with the neighbours from hell, we had armed police, negotiators and Normal police blocking off my street for hours. This was all caused by the absolute nightmare neighbours who live next door
To me, they have no consideration for anyone else! Grrr rant over!

Hope everyone is well, I’m going to catch up now i’ve Finished work!

Mrsmadevans · 18/09/2018 15:47

Mrsmadevans · 18/09/2018 15:50

Acey sorry you have all this trouble with your NDN it is a nightmare for you m'dear Flowers

WreckTangled · 18/09/2018 15:51

Mrs love the headphones idea! Yes she going to be so excited, I couldn't afford the best seats but, ime, all the London theatres are quite small and so no seat is truly awful.

Mrsmadevans · 18/09/2018 16:36

Wreck the earphones are going to be a real lifeline they will stop a lot of arguments imho Xmas Grin
Your DD will absolutely lovelovelove the tickets , l am so pleased for you they are so hard to come by ....very well done , a huge slap on the back for you m'dear Flowers

WreckTangled · 18/09/2018 16:49

It took me an hour and I had to start again about five times as every time I added to basket it crashed! Was very stressful...

We're having sausages, mash, veg, stuffing and gravy for dinner. Can't wait! No swimming for dd tonight because of her chest.

Heavystream · 18/09/2018 17:22

Acey Hope your scan goes well on Thursday, sorry to hear about your neighbours.
Mrs The earphones sound amazing! I think DH needs them, he always has the tv too loud

Mrsmadevans · 18/09/2018 18:24

Wreck .........l know how long and how hard it is to get the tickets . I tried a few times and just gave up in the end Sad
I am very impressed with your tenacity and perseverance it is not easy!
Well Done!
Heavy..... they are great, l am very tempted to get them for me Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2018 18:31

Acey, your neighbours sound awful! Any way of getting rid of them (by them or you moving)? Good luck with your scan. 👶

Well done on the tickets, Wreck. Impressive tenacity!

Still no word on job 1 here. But have interview for job 2 next week. I'm sure I've not got the first (I think I'm too expensive!), but here's hoping to the second.

Mrs, good going all round with your parentals. I'm impressed with the headphones!
