I think talking about Christmas to (whispers) outsiders is acceptable after Bonfire Night

Nooooo - how have we got to only double digits so fast?! (I'm panicking as I still have so much knitting to finish off. Not that I don't want the season to come).

DD was talking last night as we were driving, and brought up Christmas. Where are we spending it this year (at home) and will we be travelling next year? And if we are travelling, can we get either of the last 2 houses we rented as they were really nice, especially the last one (the very very expensive one!) - so while she "doesn't care", I think she does want to go down again, so I will have to make that booking sooner than later (there is very very limited availability locally "down home").

While I didn't manage an awful lot of cleaning last week, I got rid of 3 bags of clutter (donations to family and charity), and loads of paperwork. I should get rid of 1 lot of paperwork altogether this week, and I have culled my Christmas clippings and filed those I want to keep, so another 6 inches of papers gone. I'll eventually get through each of my bundles (I have a scouts and a papercraft and a French language bundle to go through yet, and I want to do the recipes bundle properly but that needs some thinking time too - what recipe ideas am I likely to ever try out? But I have got rid of feet of papers in the past year).

I can feel it coming closer :) need to get my prolific balance up ready to start buying presents!

Hi! I had a sausage baguette today.

Did I mention that yesterday we went ice skating for DD's birthday? DM came, and DD's best friend. The DC skated for 2 hours, then we had lunch in the diner there. DS2 had a hotdog meal, the girls had dirty chicken cheeseburgers and fries, DM had a Parma burger and fries, I had a cheeseburger and fries, with DD's birthday cake for pudding, they also brought DD a slice of filth pie with a candle in it for free. 😋🍔🍔🍔🍔🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🎂

70 I use unsweetened soya milk. I didn't think they tasted sweet, but I have a sweet tooth so probably wouldn't notice!

I've had a meeting at work that's taken up most of the day, as well as 3 other 'urgent, must be done today' tasks and a lunch meeting. I haven't stopped since 6.40am. DS has had a temperature, so DH has been at home with him. The house is a mess, we've not had tea, and DH and I are ready for bed already! Bubble bath time!

Been busy today , up the DP'S then town to shop, then home to see NDN take him some Welshcakes he likes, then back home to have a game of Scrabble with the DDs then cuppa tea, now going to do tea. DH & DD2 having a bag of Chinese l picked up in Morrisons . Myself and DD2 having a home made vegan Chilli

Picked DS2 up, had pulled pork burritos for supper, DS2 was in bed by 7, DD will go at 7.40. 😋😴

I'm sitting in an empty house waiting for everyone to get back. It's DS' swimming night so DD went to PiLs' house and DH will swing past there on the way back here.

So far I've put the clean washing away which was already in, then fetched the towels in and put them away too. Bored now! 😂

My shoulder is agony right now. Everything keeps catching in the impingement inside. It's 🤢-inducing. Bloody shoulders!

Double Digits! It’s getting so close now! I still have barely anything sorted and I vowed to be prepared this year.

Arthur went back in to school today and some little girls came up to him and said they missed him (I may have cried when I got out the gates) and it was so lovely as I worried him being off for so long so early would set him behind a bit.

My dd is jdnee the weather (cough and fever) hoping she will feel better tomorrow as dh and I both have work.

Ds is being annoying and not going to sleep dh is at football and I was looking forward to sitting on the sofa eating chocolate and watching queer eye. Also I still need to make ds more over night oats

A touch windy here, though they've cancelled the wind warning. I may get blown about a bit on the way to the station. We shall see! 💨

The Grand Plan has master bedroom this week which I am dreading as it has become a bit of a dumping ground. Will try and tackle some of it tomorrow.

Dd is miserable but her temp is normal so she's going to school

I've done the master bedroom already in the main. We even cleared a bag of too-small kids' hats which had been lurking for ages!

I need to sort the garden really, so that's my weekend job.
