TheSpottedZebra · 18/08/2018 23:07

There is whole Christmas topic for the likes of you.
Marvel at its festive containment.

Oh go away! Seriously! It’s August. There is a Christmas board if you really must.

Jimdandy · 18/08/2018 23:09

I’m excited about Christmas as my children will be 5 and 3 and 3 months.

It will be the first Christmas where they both know what’s going on and I’m going to really enjoy it with them.

Boredboredboredboredbored · 18/08/2018 23:13

It's August ffs Sad

keyboardkate · 18/08/2018 23:15

Bet someone has been at the drinks cabinet already! But hey ho, that ain't a crime either.

Christmas is so overhyped it is unreal. I wish I could rant, but I won't because the kids are still on school hols and all is right with the world right now in AUGUST!

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 18/08/2018 23:17

It's fecking August. If people start talking about Christmas at this time of year, quite literally 6 months of the year are taken up with people talking about Christmas. That's half your life. If half your life is taken up with Christmas, it means it's no longer a special season, it's an everyday thing.

I'd much sooner have all things Christmas confined to December. Last year I point blank refused to engage in any Christmas conversations beyond choosing my options for the office Christmas party until 1st December. Worked a treat.

YABVU.

ilovesooty · 18/08/2018 23:27

You sound a bit enthusiastic even for the Christmas topic.

CakeNinja · 18/08/2018 23:29

Yeah bugger off to the Christmas board and don’t come back here until December!

@Thedairyqueen 😂😂😂

Sparklesocks · 19/08/2018 00:35

It’s not grinch-like to not want to think about Christmas in August. It’s incredibly reasonable!

73kittycat73 · 19/08/2018 00:56

It's fecking August. If people start talking about Christmas at this time of year, quite literally 6 months of the year are taken up with people talking about Christmas.

(Not picking on you personally, just illustrating my point.) I never get this argument. As soon as Christmas Day is done you get holiday adverts all over the TV. Most of them will be 6 months + away but nobody moans that that's too long away or to save talk of it till the summer.

ItsalmostSummer · 19/08/2018 01:04

It’s way too early for this.

ItsalmostSummer · 19/08/2018 01:05

And I love Christmas and start getting ready early myself but it’s August as others state.

violets17 · 19/08/2018 01:08

It's August!!!!! Thank goodness there is a Christmas section to keep them contained!

LoniceraJaponica · 19/08/2018 01:10

YABU. It's August.

Get over to the Christmas topic.

TittyGolightly · 19/08/2018 01:11

Quite happy to be a grinch. Hate xmas and don’t do it. So yes, YABU to be hyperactive over it in August and to post in AIBU where us non-xmasers reside.

73kittycat73 · 19/08/2018 01:33

to post in AIBU where us non-xmasers reside

Not so to all.

violets17 · 19/08/2018 01:43

Non-Xmasers in August

Goth237 · 19/08/2018 06:17

I'm going to love Christmas even more this year. We're expecting our first baby, a boy, in 5 weeks time. It'll be his first Christmas and I'm so excited to share it with him and our families Smile.
