Fluffy the allotment sounds as if it is coming along nicely, sorry about your Shoulder , DH is in agony with his , we are waiting the results of the x ray and if it is rotator cuff injury then he will go for cortisone injectons asap!

Mrsmadevans · 13/08/2018 09:32

TheWoollybacksWife · 13/08/2018 09:36

Happy birthday PSB and MrsMad's DD CakeCake

I'm hiding in bed. There are two suitcases of dirty laundry waiting downstairs for me plus the case with all our clean stuff needs unpacking and putting away. I should get up, have a shower and crack on but I CBA Grin

I can't wait for the new term to start in September. I've told DH that he must go into the office for at least one day during the first week that everyone is away at school/uni/work so I can properly have the house to myself. He mostly works from home so I want to make sure he isn't here interrupting my perfect peace. I think DD2 doesn't start uni until mid September so I have 5 weeks to endure. The house is fuller than normal as MIL is still here for a few days (she came on holiday with us 😇) and DD1 has a friend staying tonight too.

I have braved the scales and only put 2 pounds on in the last fortnight which is good going considering there was so much cake and so many cocktails.

I have bought a mini gingerbread house cutter from eBay this morning to make houses for the sides of mugs. I'm now looking at tree decorations. 😂

NerosFiddle · 13/08/2018 09:46

Happy birthday PSB.

DD woke up at 3 this morning. I think it's with teething. I'm going to need coffee by the pint to get me through today.

MyPatronusIsABadger · 13/08/2018 09:54

Happy Birthday PSB and MrsMads DD2!

That’s too bad about this morning PSB, but like you say tomorrow will be very nice.

Wreck, how lovely to work in a toy shop...I’m picturing it like Mr Magoriums Smile

FurForksSake · 13/08/2018 09:58

Woolly - I just bought one now you've said that. No person will have a hot drink in December without a tiny house!!

MyPatronusIsABadger · 13/08/2018 09:59

onwith the Santa home visit sounds good.

sass I’m so jealous of your Avon catalogue. My lady’s not dropped one off for a while (the house was a big higgilty piggilty for a while as long as long stays in hospital for DH and then short stays for me- I think despite ordering things I’ve made a name for myself!! Grin Blush ) anyway, hopefully I get one soon as I’m now intrigued!

Seafoodeatit · 13/08/2018 09:59

Happy birthday PSB and to MrsMad's DD :)

TheWoollybacksWife I don't blame you, I'd still be in bed if I could. Good going on only gaining 2lb!

NerosFiddle That sounds hard, wishful thinking to suggest squeezing in a nap? I've been known to shut myself and the youngest 2 in a room, lie on the floor and sleep.

WreckTangled · 13/08/2018 10:00

Haha Badger it's full of all the lovely wooden toys, jelly cats, giant unicorns etc. All lovely stuff.

AnotherShirtRuined · 13/08/2018 10:02

Happy birthday, PSB!

Ooh Whittards fancy hot chocolate, sounds delicious thismeansnothing. It must be the rainy weather but I've been craving hot chocolate these past few days. I've also been thinking about different flavours to try over the Christmas season. I'd love to do a peppermint one, but DH can't abide peppermint. Maybe I'll attempt a white chocolate one this year if I can find a good recipe.

MyPatronusIsABadger · 13/08/2018 10:02

Woolly - me too....I can’t even bake Hmm
Grin

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/08/2018 10:15

Poor Benji. Flowers

3.5 weeks here. They go to Adventure every weekday afternoon, and they're going to my aunt's for the last 4 days of August. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Wicker! 😆

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/08/2018 11:26

Thanks everyone! 😆

WreckTangled · 13/08/2018 13:26

16 boxes of Melissa and Doug have been delivered. Feels like Christmas! 🎄☃️🎁🎅🏽

December2018 · 13/08/2018 13:36

Happy birthday All you lovely birthday people!!!! 🍺 🎂

I don't know wether it's pregnancy related or getting all festive but I'm really getting the urge to bake!

I really want to make an apple crumble with extra cinnamon... really really bad! 😁

NoWordForFluffy · 13/08/2018 13:54

What did you buy, Wreck?!

Seafoodeatit · 13/08/2018 13:58

16 boxes??? wow that's a lot of stuff! I do love M&D so please share what you got.

AnotherShirtRuined - Whittards white chocolate is really nice.

I would recommend spanish drinking chocolate I think it's called in the UK for those thinking of trying something different - it's hot chocolate but very thick.

WreckTangled · 13/08/2018 14:27

Not me! Shock it's a shop delivery.

There's a giant plush giraffe, stamp sets, paint your own, magnet sets, latches board, sound puzzles, secret decoder sets (these look great for 7+ they're like spy activity sets), and some baby toys Grin

FeckingFeckers · 13/08/2018 14:40

Hi, any recommendations of play kitchens which aren't so hideously garish? I don't want the main focus of DS's room to be a frilly pink kitchen with bunny rabbits on the cupboards Grin

I have managed to find the plastic food and other play bits for it but the actual kitchen is hard to find.

FurForksSake · 13/08/2018 14:41

Ikea and you can always paint it? Seen some fab makeovers, look on pinterest.

FeckingFeckers · 13/08/2018 14:45

Oh thank you!! Would never have though to paint itSmile

Onwithsocks · 13/08/2018 14:48

PerfectlySymmetrical A local children’s entertainment company organises home visits from ‘Santa’. You give them some information about your children and they have a chat to them and give them a little present. We are inviting some other children around as well. The visit is on the 22nd Dec as all the other days have booked up. I am so excited!!!

Seafoodeatit · 13/08/2018 14:49

Asda do quite a few play kitchens and some of them are mainly blue, yellow and grey.

WreckTangled · 13/08/2018 14:59

Yes I second Asda and Ikea for lovely toy kitchens. Also Le Toy Van do a lovely one but it's ££££

NoWordForFluffy · 13/08/2018 15:19

The Melissa and Doug kitchen is lovely. Bright, unisex and sturdy!

Wrecked, we want the giraffe! How much to post?! 😂😂
