I believe it's day 190

HOW did we get past the 200 mark so fast? And only 12 Days until Christmas in July starts, for anyone who celebrates that.

SideOrderofSprouts · 25/07/2018 10:14

It’s too hot still. This weather is evil. Only thing that makes me feel better is that the long range forecast says it will
Be cold this winter!

NerosFiddle · 25/07/2018 10:32

Happy reindeer day one and all

BiddyPop · 25/07/2018 11:06

Well I just counted on my calendar:
From today there are 21 full weeks Wednesday to Wednesdays (21x7=147) plus another 5 nights to Christmas Eve (which is where we are counting to be ready for). So that's 152.

The other thing that exercise just pointed out is that it is only 22 weeks exactly until I have a teenager in the house! Yikes!

I got a chance to make up a crew sailing last night (my first proper race!) so I didn't have a nice dinner with DH, so that got postponed until tonight and my crafting plans have thus been postponed until tomorrow night. But I will be doing diary plans with him to plan our leave until the end of the leave year (I need to organize a few days cover for DD, so we need to work it all out as I don't have enough days to cover it all including midterms and Christmas, let alone a day just for me or emergency spare days).

This heat is making me long for cold alright, we've even been pricing ski holidays again (but they are atrocious money) or DH had looked at flights on his airmiles to NY for midterm (taxes still £££ but overall less than half the cost of skiing).

I'd better head back to proper work - I need to scream at a shared services provider as their stupid system has locked me out again despite me using the correct passwords (I wrote them down after multiple previous problems!).

I'm watching the "weather forecast for next week" thread, OYBBK is predicting this weather to last until October! Shock You've had rain there though, haven't you Biddy?

Just had chocolate brioche rolls, chocolate spread, jam and Disney Cars cereal. 😋🍫🍫🚗🚘

BiddyPop · 25/07/2018 12:03

Hi PSB, yes there is a weather front which passed over us but then seemed to die out in the middle of the Irish Sea - so we had some rain this week here and there is some more expected on the west coast before the weekend but not here on the east coast I don't think. I certainly don't envy people in the SE of England right now! But we didn't get a lot of rain this week...still water restrictions at night for the foreseeable future!

I think it's 153 days but 154 sleeps. Maybe.

My birthday is 50, so I'll know for sure if we are wrong then! It's easy to skip a day or something, especially if the first person that day doesn't do it, or it's not in bold! 😂

PSB, it's still a foreign language as I've no knowledge of the game at all. My DC aren't old enough.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 25/07/2018 12:17

Amazingly, Thames Water have no plans to declare a hosepipe ban. Confused

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2018 12:19

Our ban starts on 5 August.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 25/07/2018 12:19

Making chicken and bacon risotto for lunch. 😋🍗

NerosFiddle · 25/07/2018 12:54

We've had rain for the last couple of weeks Sad

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 25/07/2018 15:24

Could you send some to London please Nero?

Dropped the DC off at Adventure, ordered all non-logo'd clothes online. 😆

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2018 15:36

We've had some torrential rain. It's more sunshine than rain though.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 25/07/2018 18:59

Picked the DC up, DS2 had a jam sandwich, crisps, Haribo and a Crunchie, DD had a ham sandwich and a Coco Pops Choco Bake, I'll have Thai red chicken curry when DS2's in bed. 😋🍫🍗

FireflyGirl · 25/07/2018 19:03

DS is 3, and doesn't watch terrestrial tv, so we've avoided 'must-have' presents so far. He starts school next September, though, so next year might be a different story.

We're forecast massive thunderstorms on Friday. We could do with them!

DH's bday is 100 days until Christmas, so I'm sure we'll work it out soon enough.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/07/2018 19:13

Happy Rudolph Day/ Christmas in July
I have bought some L'Occitane soaps ( I use them anyway and I can recycle the little wicker basket for some of DD gifts, tied with a festive ribbon. )

Might let her have one of the soaps if I'm being kind Xmas Wink

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 25/07/2018 19:14

We avoided them until DD outgrew Cbeebies, she just wanted whatever she saw in Sainsbury's.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2018 19:55

We only watch CBeebies, so no ads to worry about. It's more YouTube where influence comes from! And talking with friends in the playground (she asked for a tablet for her birthday, which must've come from school as we only have / refer to them as iPads).

danni0509 · 25/07/2018 19:55

Hi, can I join please?

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2018 20:05

Hi danni! Welcome!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 25/07/2018 21:15

DD will go to bed at 10.10. 😴
