I believe it's day 190

HOW did we get past the 200 mark so fast? And only 12 Days until Christmas in July starts, for anyone who celebrates that.

Morning. Brief post as at work and busy.

Fell down the stairs today. Ouchy. Struggling a bit, but last day before holiday = busy!

Anyway, hope everyone has a better day than me! 😂

Mrsmadevans · 19/07/2018 08:31

Morning All Smile
AHHHH Fluffy that must have been very painful m'dear l hope you are looking after yourself and have taken every legal pain relief you can get . Brilliant re the last day before hols YAY!
We are going for a lovely walk this morn to Goldcliff and then to M & S to take some clothes back l bought in the sale, DD2 dresses were great but sadly mine were awful! My sciatica is playing up damn thing, l didn't sleep at all well last night it seems to be worse when lying down Hmm have taken every legal pain relief known to man , was even going to try DD2 oil of cloves Grin!
Am going to watch CIJ ON QVC on the 25th , which is also Rudolph day !!! Twas meant to be Grin
Have a great day everyone Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 19/07/2018 13:39

Ah, Mrs, sciatica is awful. Hope it releases soon.

My shoulder really hurts! Think I'll be off to A&E later (no minor injuries units / walk in places where we are. And I need a scan anyway I think).

NoWordForFluffy · 19/07/2018 13:39

Oh, yes. ALL the legal drugs taken.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 19/07/2018 14:25

Fluffy! Are you okay? Shock

Had smashed avocado on sourdough toast and a banana. 😋🍌 Got the tube to pay some cheques in. 💷

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/07/2018 15:16

Oh bless you Fluffy.

I'm standing in the playground waiting to pick DS up on his penultimate day at primary school. I'm in bits today - God knows how I'll be tomorrow. I've had 20 years of this school run. I've volunteered , been on the pta and did my time on the governing body Sad

NoWordForFluffy · 19/07/2018 17:10

Awwwww, Woolly. Bless you. ❤️❤️

I'm definitely going to hospital later as I still can't lift my arm. Cant believe it hurts so much. 😢 And now I've just tried I have numb fingers. Hmmm!

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/07/2018 17:21

Yikes! Not an auspicious start to your holiday. I've got a shoulder brace I can lend you Wink

NoWordForFluffy · 19/07/2018 17:35

Send it up (or bring it, if you like!). 😁

I'm sure it'll be fine, but it's my already-bad shoulder, so can't risk it (and my dominant arm, so not helpful!).

NerosFiddle · 19/07/2018 19:15

Hoe you get in ok at the hospital Fluffy. I dislocated my shoulder once so I know how
painful it can be.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 19/07/2018 19:29

Woolly that'll be me next year. Flowers

Hope your arm's OK Fluffy. Flowers

Picked the DC up, had chicken korma, DS2 was in bed by 7. 😋🍗😴

CrazyBaubles · 19/07/2018 20:24

Woolly - I'm sure you have hay fever so it'll be no surprise when you're sniffing with watery eyes.. Xmas Wink

Fluffy - ouch. I hope A&E can help you. Sounds painful and annoying!

I have had a madly busy day again but I'm now putting my feet up and starting a new series - Safe, has anyone seen it? Bit odd seeing the guy from Dexter sounding English / posh Confused but hoping it's good.
I can't find Prime Suspect anywhere but I am trying.

I'm online shopping too - we have 8 birthdays to buy for in August and we're away for part of it so I'm getting everything lined up now and will buy in one big binge on payday so they can arrive and be wrapped before we leave (did I tell you I'm on an organisation kick?) and once that's all out of the way, it's full steam ahead on the Christmas planning 🎄

Morning! Nearly time to get up. 😆

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2018 06:59

Morning!

I didn't go to hospital in the end as it started to loosen up and be more mobile. I've been careful not to sleep on it last night (hard; it's my favoured side!) and there's definite improvement. I'll just keep taking painkillers and I imagine it'll ease up more over the next few days.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/07/2018 09:01

Ouch Fluffy , have you got a humdinger of a bruise? It might bruise later if you knocked your self on the way down. (Top Tip , don't go down the stairs the Quick Way Xmas Wink )

There were loads of school children going in for their last day today (I dropped DH off then got breakfast for DD on the way back)

Mine are finished Yr11 and Yr13 so a long time since I was standing in a playground waiting (thankfully)

Full swing preparation for holiday now , just got to get suncream and forrin money .

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2018 09:06

We go away tomorrow, taking DD out of school for the last 3 days. Oops!

No bruise. I have carpet burn to the right elbow instead! I'm not a fan of the quick way; it's traumatic!

BiddyPop · 20/07/2018 11:46

Fluffy ouch that sounds nasty, I hope you are ok now and that the holidays will be restful (DD can be your slave as recompense for escaping the last 3 days of school!).

CrazyBaubles that does sound well organized!

We're at a point where DH thought it was the weekend yesterday, but had his alarm set for 6am (later than usual flight) and I had completely forgotten it (he also forgot as he had agreed a nice dinner tonight but he's not home until bedtime).

We've decided we will go out for family lunch tomorrow (as a bribe to keep DD in bed for a while - I think I'll get her a croissant to sort herself out too in the morning, so we can all sleep late!), and she can decide on dinner menu. And DH and I are going back to bed on Sunday once we've dropped her to the bus to scout camp (at 9am!! On a SUNDAY!! ) - but at this stage, probably purely to sleep rather than other thoughts we may previously have had....Blush

I did up my lists yesterday, I need to tidy them up a bit but progress is being made. When I brought home my supplies, DH and DD both raised eyes to heaven at my idea for Cubs learning to sew (Christmas stockings, maybe 6-8cm long, as a tree decoration in the colours of the Cub pack - so bright yellow felt with a dark green ribbon!). DD thought I was mad, but retracted slightly when she realized I only meant a tree decoration and not full size! I've also bought 20 needle threaders, and will probably ask either some older Scouts or extra Leaders or a few parents to come down and help with that session. (I can offer it to the other Cub pack as well in return for their help with mine).

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 20/07/2018 15:18

Urgh Biddy, still that's not as early as when DD sang at the rugby, she had to be at school for 7am, in uniform, on a Sunday! Shock

Had a cheese and 🍄 omelette today, picked the DC up at 1.30. 😆

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2018 18:04

Ive been to the allotment this afternoon. I was showing my PiL where it is so my MiL can go and do some clearing for us (she offered!). I did just under an hour myself and got loads done. I'm optimistic that it won't take too long with 3 of us doing it next weekend. 😁

My shoulder is so much better now, thankfully. I think it's just recovering from the jarring where my elbow hit the stairs. Phew! I still couldn't really pull much up though, but should be fine by next week.

Biddy, I love the sound of the little decorations. Good idea!

Evening all Smile
Good to hear your shoulder is much better Fluffy Flowers have a lovely hols !
Been to the Parents , sorted them out and got a Tesco delivery arranged for them while l was there, l don't know why l haven't done this before, it was a Godsend.
We managed a walk in Bryn Bach and fed the Ducks & Geese lots of ppl there exercising and just enjoying it with the wildlife.
Tomorrow my DS is looking after the parents so we will have a welcome Day off , think we are going for a walk but not decided where yet Smile
Have a great evening all Smile

Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2018 20:24

BTW the allotment will be brilliant, you have made an inroad already , does it come with a shed ? I can imagine you with a shed , all string and terracota pots and garden tools and a little gas cooker to make a cuppa with Grin lots of cobwebs and a metal watering can ....l can see it now .....

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2018 20:36

I think there's maybe a shed hiding at the bottom. I walked past the bottom end on my way back from the dentist on Wednesday and I thought I saw one. May have been next door though; hard to tell from the distance I was at! We will get a small one though if there isn't.

Well done on being productive today, Mrs. I love online food shopping as it saves so much time! We are getting one to our holiday cottage tomorrow, just after we arrive.

I really don't think it'll take us long to clear the allotment, though maybe there's something hideous lurking in the undergrowth!

Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2018 21:05

Fluffy that will be great if you have a shed already , you will get the allotment ship shape and Bristol fashion in no time.Have a lovely holiday , you work so hard it will do you the world of good.
It is a great idea to have a delivery , l have signed up for the delivery saver already ! Grin

FireflyGirl · 20/07/2018 22:20

We get online shopping now I've started my new job. It just saves so much time and effort. I do miss Aldi's aisle of wonder...

Your allotment looks awesome, Fluffy. Glad your shoulder is better.

I've started writing my 'Organised Christmas' lists tonight Grin Grin
