Morning! We went out for a few drinks in the village last night. It was lovely to get out and so warm; almost like being on holiday! ☀️😁

Tired now though!

We are going to show the DC the allotment today, and then go to the garden centre opposite to see what bargains we can find, as it's 20% off everything today!

I'm excited to get going with the allotment. Hopefully we can start soon.

You're so lucky to get an allotment Fluffy! They're highly sought after, aren't they?

It’s only 63 sleeps until the 100 day countdown now.

I’m genuinely considering putting ONE tree up on the 16th Sept to mark the 100 days? 🎄🎄🎄

The other 4 trees will go up 1st Nov as usual. 😂

They are, PSB. And I've only been waiting since September too. Some people wait for years! (I thought we would too!)

Blacksmith, that's pretty keen. I've no room for trees without rearranging the place, so they're strictly for December only.

Hello on the new thread, I'm not sure if I've actually posted on this one yet?

I dropped off to deal with rubbish life stuff and am only now back to a point of feeling calm and potentially festive enough to post.

I've started a healthy eating kick (only 6 days in so far ) and am trying to organise myself so will be going through my lists later. I use a lovely red leather bound notebook for Christmas stuff but someone recommended the app Wunderlist and I've been using that when out and about. Need to combine them then start the giant to-do list soon!

Is anyone watching the football later? The excitement hasn't really touched our house but DH is popping out to watch the final 🙄 which is when I think I'll start my lists

No football here. We have exhausted DC and are sick of the bloody arguing, so we've made popcorn and told them to sit and watch a film together. No doubt fighting will ensue shortly.

Had waffles, jam and chocolate spread and Disney Cars cereal for breakfast, creamy peppercorn chicken with sautéed potatoes for lunch. 😋🍫🚗🚘🍗

No football here either (DH isn't a fan, DS isn't either but he's away)

I've just scoffed half a Terrys Chcocolate Orange (getting into practice here) it needs to go into the fridge though.

DD and I went to London yesterday , in Selfridges Foodhall there were some beautifully wrapped chocolates , so that's my table sweets sorted. I decide a colour scheme for my table each year based on The Thing . Once I've chosen the sweets I like , I'll work round the colours (DH only eats white chocolate so that'll limit it)

We've had rain here, which has upset the local annual festival. But hey ho we won't melt.

Had potato bread, sausage and eggs for breakfast and getting a steak now the dc are down to sleep. Happy Sunday!

Had Japanese firecracker prawns for supper, DS2 will go to bed at 9.30, nobody in trying to get him to bed if he can't sleep. 😋🍤😴

Been busy again, up Ma & Pa's, came home, cooked tea , rice pud and pasta bake twas yummy, think all thise carbs did 2 loads of washing & drying and put away. Then settled to watch the footie which was alright but l think the bubble has burst, no more Garry & Co booo hooo.
Just watched Unforgotten, bit slow we thought but love Neil Morrisey
Puss cat Shaky the stray, loves my DH so much ,l will show you a pic. DH was moaning he was too hot with him on his lap but he took no notice and clung on for dear life till he slid down his legs and had to give up haha!
Hope all ok, thankfully the weather seems to be a bit cooler this coming week so they say, we shall see!

Morning. It's raining! And rained overnight too! Not sure it was forecast, but the garden is happy. It feels less muggy now, but it's still warm. It's meant to be dry for the next 9 days though, so got to be thankful really.

We bought some new loppers and secateurs last night. On sale from Amazon, so got both for less than the usual price of one. We will be ready to attack the allotment once I've signed the contract! I bought loads of seeds yesterday too. Our garden centre had 50% off anyway, then as a member of their club I also got another 20% off those prices. Bargain! I saved almost my entire year's membership cost yesterday.

Ohhh Fluffy..... l forgot.... Congrats on the Allotment, that is just marvellous, you will all love it l am sure .
Morning all woke early because DD2 has terrific toothache poor darling , sorted her out with pain relief and she is sleeping again now , ahhh poor love the dentist gave her antibiotics on Friday , she has been fine all weekend. She is waiting for her impacted wisdom tooth to be removed by the orthodentist but they have a long waiting list , never mind it will go very soon l expect.
Much cooler this morning , we are off to the parents to sort them out and taking Mum to the dentist too, so same old

Morning! Is anyone already shopping for school uniforms? DS2 will need a tie this year as he's going into yr3, he's lost a jumper, and they've both grown out of their PE t-shirts. That's all logo'd.

Bought a small jar of Douwe Egbert's coffee for DS2's teacher and a Green and Black's selection for DD's.

Having a big breakfast and a banana today. 😋🍳🍌

Feels quite chilly here today. Temps back up tomorrow, apparently. Thankfully!

We bought uniform a few months' ago from school and in the 20% off M&S sale a few weeks' ago, PSB.

I have to make lemon curd tomorrow evening and DH needs to pick up the components from Asda for my 'afternoon tea in a bag' teachers' present from our two. Then first thing Weds I need to make scones. The jam is already made!

Picked the DC up, had spaghetti pomodoro with garlic bread for supper, DS2 was in bed by 6.30, DD was in bed by 9.20, did wash, uniforms have been laid out since Friday, in bed now. 😋🍝😴👗👖👕👔😴

Mrs, I hope your DD is feeling better today. You'd think they'd move her up the list if she's suffering that much, poor thing. I hope it's done soon.

It looks like it will be sunny again today. Yay! Yesterday's washing is patiently pegged to the line, marginally wetter than it started at, waiting to dry! 😂😂

The allotment is very exciting, Mrs. I can't wait to get going. I think enthusiasm is required initially as it's hard going to get it ready to plant stuff. But well worth it in the end. 😁

Morning! The DC took their teacher presents in today, DS2 told me that his teacher likes coffee more than wine, turns out he was right! She said to him, "You know me so well!" 😂 DD will probably have given hers by now. They've got their moving up day today. I told DD that she'll be the 2nd oldest child in the school in September, she said, "I hadn't thought of that!" 😂

Just had super scrambled egg (with spinach through it) and a banana. 😋🍌

Bought paper and envelopes for DS2's Top Secret invitations for his spy party, he'll have to give them out before they break up, have ordered party boxes online. 😆

Very jealous of your allotment, Fluffy. I thought about applying but at the moment I just wouldn't have time

We had thunderstorms and rain last night, so everything got a good water. Sunny and warm again today

Thank you Fluffy & Firefly for the well wishes re DD2 & her wisdom tooth, she had a disturbed night but went to work , we rushed up town to get her some Oil of Cloves from Boots before she went and bought the last 2 bottles, d'you know it smells really like Christmas it is lovely , l could get hooked on smelling it
Been to the parents did the usual for them , took mum to Physio appt , she is doing the exercises to be fair to her and there is an improvement in her mobility , she was so tired when we came back , when l rang earlier , Dad said she has slept all the afternoon . Came home and did manage 2 loads of washing and dried and put away, so am pleased about that . Watched Prime Suspect 4 , l have forgotten how good it was am looking forward to Prime Suspect 5 lol.
Exciting times for all the DC changing classes and schools aw bless takes me back .
