HOW did we get past the 200 mark so fast? And only 12 Days until Christmas in July starts, for anyone who celebrates that.

DS2's at his friend's house! The mum texted me to say that the friend went nuts opening his present! 😂

Firefly yes I tend towards actual lists - makes me less likely to forget (and yes, there is immense satisfaction to seeing things crossed off!).

Constantly hopefully work is not too bad today, and that you get the time for the house tlc on the holidays.

PSB I hope DS2 enjoys his day, LEGOLAND sounds awesome!

Fluffy, we got some rain overnight too - just a sprinkling really, but the ground was damp when we woke up. And I put on a light summer jumper and jeans after needing a cardigan yesterday - but it's warming up again already so I may have chosen wrong.

70s, that's just mean! Although it was always on a MONDAY 13th that DM had her bad luck days....

I finished 2 scarves in the past 12 hours - this week's commuting scarf last night at home and the previous commuting scarf on the commute this morning. I need to bring new wool to the sailing event this weekend. But that's it for Christmas prep this week - unless you could buying felt, ribbon and thread for my Cubs to make mini Christmas stocking tree decorations as the way to teach them sewing (needed for 2 different badges before the end of the year!).

I think I'd better do some actual work at my desk today, yesterday was, not a complete write off but, well, there was at least some procrastination going on.....the service officers will realise that when my packages all arrive next week!!

I'm waiting for QVC 'Christmas in July' , I'm hoping they have a tree (I'm after pre-lit , about 5' tall ). The trees they had before were ££ but looked really good .
Costco trees last year were too big sadly .

Got a real tree last year , it was too tall even after the trunk was lopped we had to cut a bit off the top , it was so wide too once the branches dropped.

I'm debating if I should buy some Lindy Bowman boxes on the Clearance but I reckon I'll wait and see what they have on CinJ.

Sorry for not being on for ages. Partner has flu, caught it from me so both houses have been struck by it. Will catch up later properly.

I've started Christmas shopping.
Bought the first cinema card, just 4 more to go. By adding a gift card to each shop it should spread the cost a little....I hope.

I've made a list of cards to write so need to start on those so it's done.
Which reminds me, I needs stamps.

Been mia due to being so busy
Yesterday ....took mum to the dancing club last night, sorted out my tax once and for all, sorted 4 bags of clothes jigsaws and books for the Cat protection league shop and delivered them there phew..... when l sort stuff for charity l like to take it there straight away l am funny like that .
Today... did the parents shopio, their cleaning, washed and dressed mum , did their tea, lunch and pudding , hung their washing out , watered the garden, mum takes 14 tablets in the morning and 4 at night, l put them in the 7 day medicine pots for her for the week , it takes ages to do but it is a Godsend for her, fed the birds and after all that had to take my DSIL birthday cards and pressies and flowers from us and the parents!! This was after we took the DD2 to the dentist with raging toothache from her ingrowing roots of her wisdom tooth. Dentist was fab tbf , pushed her in an appt and prescribed her antibiotics , it is infected BLESS HER!! she hates the dentist don't we all so we DD and me came home after all that and plonked ourselves on the sofa and watched Prime Suspect the very first series with Helen Mirren on Netflix , it was even more amazing than l remembered the first time around.
So that was my day , l am exhausted tbh and my sciatica is playing me up ! Diclofenic will soon sort me out l hope

Morning! It's the DCs' shared birthday party today. Wooooo! We are going to a small, private hire, soft play place which isn't actually too bad. The big one we've been to for other parties is a touch hellish!

Sorry, no recipes for tomato chutney. I made plum chutney once to go with Chinese duck for DF for Father's day.

We took her and went around the sales, l had a free coffee and piece of cakey in John Lewis , it was a guilty pleasure , bought some fab stuff for Christmas , an RSPB DOORSTOP FOR 5.99 FOR AN ELDERLY FRIEND, a Laura Ashley kneeler very pretty £8 and a National trust stainless steel fork and gloves , am very pleased with them lol

Had lots to eat at the opening, DS2 flaked out when we got back, the DC had chicken and bacon pasta bake for supper, I'm still full, DS2's just gone to bed. 😋🍗😴
