Blacksmith what Gorgeous lights and what a bargain for the Yankee candles. Well done my dear !

NoWordForFluffy · 10/02/2018 21:31

DD will get the pug and can name it herself! Her birthday isn’t until June though, so a bit of a wait!

I love your lights (and your carpet!), blacksmith. Xmas Smile

I've actually slept until 7 today. Rare occurrence! DS is actually still asleep with his feet in my back after joining us at 5 ish. That's very rare too as he doesn't often do 12 hours!

I need a wee but don't want to wake him! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

WreckTangled · 11/02/2018 07:17

I'm going for breakfast with my friend today. Yum!

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2018 07:45

Aw Fluffy that sounds so lovely takes me back to when my DDS used to come in for a cwtch with us Xmas Smile. Enjoy it my dear ....
I am off out for a mega walk with DH before the DSis and Dbil come for yet another Rugby day Hmm ,didn't go yest because of rugby and weather was just awful!
So I have been reading the beginning of this thread because we are coming to the end of this one soon and I am reminiscing lol
Do we have any volunteers for thread baby yet?
Mwhahahaha come along my pretties lol
Have a great day everyone hope all well.....

SideOrderofSprouts · 11/02/2018 07:56

Nope. Not here. Three is plenty!

By next christmas eldest will be turning 12, middle will be 7.5 and youngest will be 3 and a bit.

I have no idea. All I can think is art stuff for the middle one

NoWordForFluffy · 11/02/2018 08:02

Not here. Two is definitely enough for us!

You do have a lot of rugby in your house, Mrs. Rather you than me. I don't mind it, but that much would bore me somewhat!

What's on the breakfast menu, Wreck?

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2018 08:34

Fluffy I hate it ..... they are so domineering and obsessed . I am talking about my family and their obsession with rugby lol. Yesterday , my Bil, who is English , went home to watch the Eng v Wales game because he gets so het up about it and gets nasty to us so he has to go . I mean Hmm it's a game! I have nothing to do with it and listen to music espesh after the shusshing and hand in my face I got from my Sister last week Hmm she actually shusshed us all yest and no one was speaking ! She has severe hearing problems and is in denial , you know that sometimes you can hear noises when you have a hearing problem Xmas GrinXmas Grin this has made me lol so much I don't know why lol. However my DH and DD both noticed the shusshing and commented and actually took the mick out of her but she couldn't hear them ! Mwah hahaha , l do love my sister but she doesn't make it easy lol. Bear in mind I am completely deaf in my left ear since I caught measles at 3 so l am not Deafist at all lol.
Anyway back to business have we really no volunteers for thread baby? we are getting desperate here -lightweights--

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2018 08:34

ahem lightweights lol

SallyLockhartsDog · 11/02/2018 10:08

mrsevans if you can persuade MrLockhart then I will be happy to have the thread baby Grin

I have raised DD well. She is snuggled on the couch feeling very sorry for herself and has just asked me to put White Christmas on GrinGrin I am more than happy to oblige!

WreckTangled · 11/02/2018 19:18

Cat or umm, random cushion of fur Grin

Come one come all. It’s countdown to Christmas 2018!
Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2018 22:00

Sally am hoping Mr Lockheart is very obliging !
Wreck..... Puss cat looks beautiful bless his heart......
Am watching Endeavour , it's very good but haven't a clue whodunnit lol! Rugby wasn't too bad because I have a bit of a liking for Scotland man of the match Grieg Laidlaw lol I don't know why thought l was too old for that sort of nonsense !

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2018 22:34

Sally I am loving your DD , she has excellent Christmas taste , you have bought her up in the best possible taste, seems quite apt too as the song 'Sisters' is in it lol..... knowing the trouble I gots with mine!

I'm definitely not buying anything for Christmas until I've moved - I think most years I don't start getting stuff until after the summer holiday. This year I'll need to get more decorations - despite ME saying I'm not buying anything DH has bought an 8' Christmas tree for the hall πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I'll not be having this year's thread baby either. Too old much too old

Mrsmadevans · 12/02/2018 08:12

Woolly are you sure you are too old? Won't anyone take one for the team? I of course am far far too old thank God
DH 62nd birthday today bless him!Cake
He is having his cards but no pressies yet because DD1 is home from uni on Thursday, he wants her to be here to open his pressies and have his cakey. I will have to make a vegan cake as DD1 is vegan. They are ok but not as nice as normal cakes I find but we all pretend it is, for her sake Xmas Grin. She seems to indulge us so ....
It is freezing here today no snow though . We are off for a walk just now , having Mum and Dad for lunch and then taking him to the Hospital for his check up appt with the Haemotologist. He has a low immune system and platelets from bone marrow dysplasia, he is going along ok though , his lovely consultant said to him last time we went....'George if l reach 87and am as good as you then I will be very happy'. That pleased him no end. Honestly he thinks she is wonderful, l have nagged him for years about having his flu jab and he would not do it, l asked her to have a word with him and he was in the Drs for his jab the next week lol!
Hope you are all fine and Dandy and enjoying half term with your DC. Take care all .

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/02/2018 08:33

Happy birthday MrMad πŸŽ‚ and I hope DadMad's hospital appointment goes well.

I'm certainly too old Grin my body still reminds me that it's technically possible to have another baby but I had a MC a couple of years ago and I think that was my last hurrah. I have no plans to be a Guiness World Records entry under "Britain's oldest mum" Grin

Mrsmadevans · 12/02/2018 09:16

Ahhhh thank you so much Woolly xxx we have just been skyped by DD1 from Uni to wish him Happy Birthday and it has made his day bless him! I am so sorry about your mc my dear , I will stfu about thread baby now . I had 2 mc myself the grief was horrendous but time is such a great healer, it is true, at least for me it was and combined with having my 2 DDS after losing 2 babies my cup runneth over and I was complete at last.
God I am going on this morning nothing like a birthday to bring the memories back !
Have a great day..... all am off for a lovely wintery walk ! Bugger the housework!

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/02/2018 09:22

Don't feel bad MrsMad Thanks I have three beautiful children and that MC was definitely because of my age. We neeeeed a thread baby.

HairsprayBabe · 12/02/2018 09:56

Ahh Woolly and MrsM Flowers That is the reason I joined MN in the first place, got pregnant at 18, didn't tell my mum, had a MC my boyfriend dumped me, none of my friends knew how to handle it, I was just desperate for some support, it was not my finest hour.... I still never told my mum. Even now I have a fear of ttc because I am worried that there might be a real "problem" that might have caused it... sorry to bring the mood down :Β¬|

But it won't be me this year regardless sorry, me and DP are only babies ourselves plus my dad says I can't have a baby till I am married and I think even that is a long way off yet!

NoWordForFluffy · 12/02/2018 10:01

Morning! Day off today. We are off to a wetland place near home then the SeaLife Centre at the Trafford Centre (the kids don't know about this one!).

Hairspray, that sounds like a really traumatic time for you. If you did want a baby, it's not really up to your dad when you have it though!

But anyway...happy birthday to MrMad, I hope he's happy with his Fitbit!

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/02/2018 10:09

Oh Hairspray Thanks

I remember DD1 (then aged about 8 or 9) very patiently and slowly explaining to her (not very) elderly grandma that people didn't need to be married to have babies - that might have been the case in "the olden days" but it was the 21st century now. I didn't know where to put myself. Blush

HairsprayBabe · 12/02/2018 10:13

Sorry Fluffy the part about my dad was lighthearted, I think he would probably be thrilled if I told them we were having a baby if slightly concerned we hadn't bought a house yet

Yeah it was not a great time in my life, it was a long time ago now though and it was just not the right time for me, and in all honesty it saved me from being chained to a pretty pants bloke for 18+ years and my life would be very different to how it is currently, so while I am not "glad" it happened I do think it was for the best in the long run.

NoWordForFluffy · 12/02/2018 11:34

Ah. Oops, Hairspray! Xmas Blush

Oh, how was your medical thingy last week? Are you all good to go for the new job now?

I wanted to be married when I had children, it has to be said. I was just under 4 weeks' pregnant when we got married though! Xmas Grin

HairsprayBabe · 12/02/2018 11:41

Ah that is a subject that is giving me the rage

OH provider were supposed to ring last Thursday, and didn't so I called them on friday morning - apparently they had tried to call me but couldn't get through.... turns out they had the wrong number!?!?!

Not to worry though I can have another appt. on the 26th! Angry

NoWordForFluffy · 12/02/2018 15:17

Dear god! 😑😑😑
