What, if anything, do you have on top of your tree?

I haven't put our tree up yet, but I don't usually put anything special on the top (I remember a tinsel star in childhood)

DD wants a bow, or an angel. I don't really like the idea of a bow, not sure.

So what do you have, inspire me - ideally with pics!

A sparkly wire star, very cheap from a pound shop. Cheap version of this sort of thing.

A pointy glass thingy

We have one of those woolly hats from top of innocent smoothies.
The kids always put something odd up there for some reason Grin

Can't do pics but have grannies porcelain Angel - not sure how old but her hair is painted gold and her dress is gold fabric, not very big but beautiful

The other tree has a silveryvwhite Angel bought from JL in about 2003. Worth the money. Beautiful dress.

A Christmas pg tips monkey

Lupin that made me laugh. Also grinning at the Innocent smoothie hat.

I want something elegant, but not sure I can carry it off. Love the sound of *Raindrop's" angels.

Are Sandy Claws and Innocent smoothie hats not elegant enough for you?!

QueenNefertitty · 14/12/2017 21:37

A star but I saw a crochet weeping angel on a reddit thread this week that I’m coveting for next year...

DoubleLottchen · 14/12/2017 21:43

Lupin most things are too elegant for me Grin.
But sometimes I wish I was one of those people with an effortlessly tasteful tree.

Boba Fett Lego keyring is sitting on the top of my small tree Grin

Pissed off cat with glittery wings. I'm not a cat person the rest of the year, just for December.

Our tree isn't up yet. On the top we usually have a little angel that I made myself about 40 years ago. She's a bit old and tatty now, but part of our Christmas tradition.

Etymology23 · 14/12/2017 22:04

Mine has a robin. Parents have Jack Frost!

Eolian · 14/12/2017 22:06

A glittery star. I love your pointy glass thingy, cheminotte!

Grin at Boba Fett keyring- very traditional!

BillywilliamV · 14/12/2017 22:08

A very snooty angel, she has been with us for 7 years and obviously considers herself our superior in every possible way.

MrsElf · 15/12/2017 00:20

I am still looking for a really good angel. Eventually I intend to claim my parents fairy, bought in 1989 from a WI market (and which they have never really been satisfied with either - for me it is probably the only REAL Christmas angel). For now, I have a rabbit fairy thing, and occasionally my nativity decoration. Which is hard to place, and usually looks too small.

We have a light up star this year. In previous years we had a wire star which I sprayed with glitter. My friend has an Angel of the North which I think is great.

Grimmfebruary · 15/12/2017 00:32

We had a black 'bah humbug' hat last year which I had to replace with a green elf eared hat after my mum called me a miserable cow 😂 Reverted back to the pound shop balding glitter star this year as my Santa hats have all disappeared...

happymummy12345 · 15/12/2017 00:38

We have a light up star.
I prefer Angels, but we hunted high and low and couldn't find one anywhere, so we had to make do with a star.
