Taken a punt on the Hype backpack, thanks for the link

Hopefully it'll be suitable to give to my 14 year old niece with some hair and makeup bits in.

Or my 14 year old nephew with boy stink stuff in.

Ness1234 · 08/10/2017 16:02

I've also bought quite a bit off Etsy, I bought some prints from a seller called CreativeWithLine, they are really lovely, so that sorted my presents for sister/BiL and SDM, I also bought some homemade wrapping paper with dogs in jumpers, so cute, you get 4% cashback with Topcashback.

Theimpossiblegirl · 08/10/2017 16:08

Wilko have some fab stuff already. This make your own gin set is £5. You add cheap vodka to the botanicals and get (hopefully) nice gin.
That's my secret Santa sorted!

@ness1234 I didn't know there was Etsy cash back?! Sad

Minster2012 · 08/10/2017 16:21

Thanks for pointing out my error thankfully before I had ordered more stuff!

QuilliamCakespeare · 08/10/2017 16:24

Has anyone done a beer box sub and can recommend/refer? I got DH a bacon sub last year which he enjoyed but fancy something different this time.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/10/2017 16:27

We did Flavourly which DH enjoyed.

LostMyRubySlippers · 08/10/2017 16:33

I did flavourly one year- cancelled after first order, just used it as a gift.
This year I have beer 52- a box of 8 beers for only £6 using a code that was on an earlier thread but cannot recall what it was sorry!

Pumpkintopf · 08/10/2017 16:42

Thanks for the hype tip, it let me order two bags on the same order so I did-fingers crossed one will suit DS and one DD!

MyPatronusIsABadger · 08/10/2017 16:44

Anyone who ordered from the pound store able to say how long the delivery took? I'm getting a bit paranoid it's gone missing as I got an email saying order completed!

shentok · 08/10/2017 16:45

Thanks for the tips on the Pokemon figures...off to take a look

WhyamIBoredathome · 08/10/2017 17:12

quilliam I did Flavourly for DH last year and he loved it. He's got one box left on his years worth.
If you use my link to sign up it gives you a discount either £5 or 10 but not sure and it'll give me £5 off my last box for DH.
Although I may just get him another year.

For those of you looking for beer presents I've ordered DP a German beer advent calendar from Groupon (first time I've ever bought from them so, fingers crossed it's OK!)

With the code 4YJFGA6J (10% off) it was £53.09 delivered.

There were a couple of different ones to choose from including a cheaper one at £49.99 before the 10% discount.

AlbusPercival · 08/10/2017 17:25

I have ordered a hype bag.

DS is 11 months, why did I order it?

LostMyRubySlippers · 08/10/2017 17:25

Does anyone have the link to get personalised match Attax cards please?? I’m sure I’ve seen it mentioned previous years

slimyslitheryslug · 08/10/2017 17:28

I did one of my most important bits of Christmas shopping today which was to get 5yo DS his Xmas jumper. It wasn't bargainous as I paid full price for it but he will love it. DD's was a bargain as I got it in the Next summer sale with 70% off so overall I have still made a saving not that anyone actually needs a Christmas jumper

girlsyearapart · 08/10/2017 17:34

lost
I just googled it last year when I got ds his match attax
They are really easy to do and come quickly.
He was so happy !
( you do get sent one totally random card in the post a bit later though)

RicStar · 08/10/2017 17:34

I ordered 3 large lol balls from eBay for £10. UK stock. They took a bit under week to arrive and from the outside they look identical to the ones for £10 each in stores. They will be stocking fillers. I am going to try and order some lil sister ones too - mine like the unwrapping much more than the dolls though. No way on earth I am paying £50 for the golden one - the bits would be lost by lunchtime (but as a child I would have loved it).

girlsyearapart · 08/10/2017 17:37

In a non Christmas related but still bargainy theme does anyone know the cheapest way of getting Word for the laptop ?

We don't have it anymore and the dc need it for homework ...

mypatronus I ordered last weekend and haven’t received it yet either...

Normalserviceissuspended · 08/10/2017 18:01

How does vodka turn into gin?

LostMyRubySlippers · 08/10/2017 18:04

girls thanks I did google earlier & nothing jumped out at me but will have another look!

alfie we got a bilibo when DS was under one, I think that is fine. Remember reading in the blurb somewhere it has ‘no discernible purpose or function’!!??!! so think it does suit a variety of ages as it can be whatever they want it to be.. DS used to put toys in it & then spin them around, older visitors would put it on their heads, on their backs like a shell etc etc

Normalserviceissuspended · 08/10/2017 18:04

I am amazed that you already know who your secret santas are- do you all arrange it at work and so fix it? . We usually don't sort it out until well into December.

SpaghettiAlphabetti · 08/10/2017 18:12

girlsyearapart do you have the full Office 365 package at work? If so you can get Office Home suite for £10 using your work email address.

Some employers require you to enter a code they provide to you. Mine didn't though. Work email address was sufficient for signing up.
