I had an email off hype with £4.97 credit that to use- had gone into my junk mail. Used it to order a £3.99 tote bag for free & just had to pay the p&p which was £2.49

MummysMaison · 26/09/2017 15:18

Lost - email them and tell then you entered it but it hasn't gone through?

Haudyerwheesht · 26/09/2017 15:28

Thanks pigley and fraggle I didn't mean the bricks though Smile - I meant the tape that's supposedly Lego compatible

Cupoteap · 26/09/2017 15:59

Eitak22 really? Didn't know that.

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/09/2017 16:02

ja9r · 26/09/2017 16:10

I also received EB mug last week and GH mag this week... there were dispatch emails before mug arrived.

imsorryiasked · 26/09/2017 16:13

@Haudyerwheesht I've got some from aliexpress which arrived today so I'll try it out tonight and let you know. .

torthecatlady · 26/09/2017 16:16

@beadyboo Hi, I got my EB mug a few days before the magazine, they may send them out in batches. It could be worth a quick email or phone call?

LostMyRubySlippers · 26/09/2017 16:25

mummys yeah I've done that, will see what they say

MarriedAroundChristmas · 26/09/2017 16:26

Is anyone else considering writing down all prices of things bought, and then picking a date in December and seeing how much all the items would have cost then? There's bound to be sales later too, I wonder what the difference will be? Obviously buying things now splits the cost and means we manage to buy things whilst they're in stock!

OvO · 26/09/2017 16:39

I didn't know that about the Nintendo DS either! No wonder I couldn't find many in stock, never mind a good offer!

Ended up buying for full price from the Nintendo website - though got a free Pokemon case with it. It's for a birthday so don't have time to wait and see if it comes down (that's if I could find it in stock!)

LostMyRubySlippers · 26/09/2017 16:40

They're going to apply referral code for my next order mummys so hopefully you'll get your referral credit then!

Minster2012 · 26/09/2017 16:49

@marriedAroubdchristmas that's just the thing I was planning on doing as this is my first year really into this thread & also bargain hunting /spreading presents I'm keen to find out if it's worth it money wise & not just pay day & excitement wise & whether I then buy more as a result.
#thatsjustthekindofgeekiam!!

EmGee · 26/09/2017 17:01

I've bought things in the past just because they were 'bargains' but have been strict with myself the past couple of years. DC are also getting older so are more opinionated about what they want whereas when they were younger I had a tendency to go a bit mad buying Playmobil and what not that they didn't play with just because it was cheap/lowest price ever etc.

Remember a bargain is only a bargain if you need it Grin

tootsieglitterballs · 26/09/2017 17:04

@beadyboo yes, I got my EB mug about a week or so ago. I've seen a few comments on the an EB Facebook group I'm on of people having not received them yet though.

CannotEvenThink · 26/09/2017 17:07

Hello hello.
I've been on a break from MN but I've just come back for this thread because I'm way behind where I usually am and have NO idea what to buy the dc this year. 2 of them have birthdays around Christmas too the little blighters.

Anyway. I made a start today. We do reusable advent calendars and I like stuff other than sweets to fill them so I got on eBay and bought a bunch of mini bath bombs sold for wedding favours, a big pack of Christmas pin badges and some Christmas erasers. Total £13 for 3 children.

Anyone seen any bargains on a Lego train? Doesn't matter which one.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 26/09/2017 17:14

Got my debenhams benefit order with freebies and debenhams goody bag (after a parcel chase as they wanted it signed for) Not bad for stuff I had to get anyway, thought the goody bag was just depressing perfume samples at first but there's a few little bits in.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 26/09/2017 17:14

Oh and I got my EB mug about a week ago as well.

eitak22 · 26/09/2017 17:27

Fairytoad · 26/09/2017 17:57

I got a blue fingerling for £1.69 this morning - its for my 3 year old so not to concerned if not authentic but all the amazon reviews say it is. It was on Ashleigh money saver, the price went back upto £14.99 about an hour later but might be worth checking ccc if anyone wants one. Will post link

Fairytoad · 26/09/2017 17:58

WowWee Fingerlings Pet Baby Monkey - can't link on my phone Confused

Binghasalottoanswerfor · 26/09/2017 18:08

**For those of you awaiting the Argos 3 for 2!!!!! The last two times it's been on, I've noticed they have increased the prices of things slightly. Compare all of the prices with what Amazon are charging. Everything I have compared so far has been cheaper to buy all 3 items on Amazon than to do the 3 for 2!!!!!!!

OhHolyFuck · 26/09/2017 18:11

@Fairytoad that's amazing, wish I'd have seen it at that price
Think DSs would like them but not paying close on £30 for 2

Haudyerwheesht · 26/09/2017 18:26

imsorryiasked thanks

Haudyerwheesht · 26/09/2017 18:37

The PS4 dual shock controllers are reduced to £36.99 at argos and amazon just now. Still extortionate in my view but a significant saving and it's one of the things on ds's list.
