wornout my 8yr olds favourite gift from last Christmas was these tiny little Pokémon figures that cost me £2.19 (they've gone up since though). In fact he's loved them so much I've bought more this year to do a diy advent calendar.

@christmasunicorn I have done DS an advent calendar with those figures for the last 2 years running and he's loved it! I made little laminated cards for each figure and now know more about Pokemon than he does He likes to play with them in the bath Hmm

FoofFighter · 21/09/2017 17:14

@IToldYouIWasFreaky check out tkmaxx, saw ones in there this week

EmGee · 21/09/2017 17:15

Thanks Sock have just added the bungee bouncers and disco lights to my Amazon basket :)

WhyamIBoredathome · 21/09/2017 17:19

This thread has so many things that I never even knew existed! Shock

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 21/09/2017 17:23

Thanks Rockhopper81 and Foof! I will check out TK Maxx (I love a furtle in TK Maxx anyway) and get the StikBot one if not.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2017 17:29

@Jennywallpaper, I think that's worth a complaint. There's only 3 months until Christmas. I'd say it was reasonable to expect something bought now to have a sufficient lifespan to take it beyond that date. Try it and see if they at least refund you and let you keep them!

NumberPerson · 21/09/2017 17:32

I need some help please Smile
DS has asked Father Christmas for a Mack from cars that opens at the back to allow smaller cars on

There are lots of Mack's that open on the side, but I am struggling to find one that opens at the back

He wants to be able to play with it outside, so shouldn't have a remote

Smile
crumbsinthecutlerydrawer · 21/09/2017 17:44

Thank you Freaky for asking about the stop animation thing, that would be perfect for ds!

Also, does anyone know of any science type subscription gifts for an 8 year old? Ds has a post Christmas birthday to shop for.

boredofmyoldname · 21/09/2017 17:46

@NumberPerson I'm not sure about the newer ones but I know when the first Cars was out there was a Mack truck that opened at the back to allow Lightening to drive in and the side unclipped to reveal his bachelor pad inside.

Provided hours of entertainment :o

RJnomore1 · 21/09/2017 17:56

Oh I am SO TEMPTED by the Debenhams offer but as dd2 had her birthday at weekend I really have no money.

Dammit.

friskybivalves · 21/09/2017 18:03

Jenny, I see to remember checking the Debrnhams website specifically for the eat by date and it said it was April 2018. It’s the only food thing I have bought on this thread so must have been the malteasers. Def complain.

friskybivalves · 21/09/2017 18:07

Can’t now see any mention of eat by date so maybe I was dreaming it. Hmm

Fancythat69 · 21/09/2017 18:08

Think I'm just about done for the kids

This is dd8s stash she asked fo Harry Potter and unicorns (I've also got her a Nintendo switch preordered)

Dd6 stash

She asked for our generation everything (not shown is our generation doll and camper)

Phew I'm done!

I am definitely going to get these bungee bouncers for the DC. I have never seen them before & they look brilliant. The DC are getting tablets for Xmas so I want other presents to be more active or cerebral. As they're getting tablets, they won't be getting much else from us but the grandparents will ask for ideas and are quite happy for me to produce something I've already bought at a bargainous price
I did some RL shopping today. My best bargain was a pair of actual Spanx for £7 rather than £35 but I'm not sure that that is a present you could buy anyone! TK Maxx also had minions small mega blox (micro blox?) advent calendars for £12 and a whole load of science kits for £8. They also had small hatchimals for £10.

Cupoteap · 21/09/2017 18:24

Fancy can you tell me about the unicorn stuff Smile

Haudyerwheesht · 21/09/2017 18:29

That stikbot thing looks great for ds - I'm hoping to get him an iPhone for his birthday, so should be ok.

boredofmyoldname · 21/09/2017 18:31

Well... That'll be DD's birthday (March) list started!

Bungee bouncer first up :o

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 21/09/2017 18:32

Playmobil have the Take Along Black Baron's Castle for a good price atm. This used to be £45 on amazon etc though I can't seem that find it now so perhaps it's being discontinued. Other places online are about £10 more.

Fancythat69 · 21/09/2017 18:35

Of course Cupoteap.
I got her all the unicorn stationary from home bargains (very cheap)
A candy floss scented unicorn pillow pet from Amazon £20
Unicorn light from home bargains £5 I think
Personalised unicorn writing set from not on the high street sale
Personalised unicorn notebook from studio £7.99 - not worth the money imo
Unicorn pencil case from Sainsbury's £6
Various bits of unicorn jewellery from Sainsbury's sale
Unicorn topped pen £2 from primark
Unicorn bag from next sale £6
Various bits of unicorn jewellery from Sainsbury's sale
And a unicorn tshirt from Amazon £3.50

I think that's it 🙂

MarriedAroundChristmas · 21/09/2017 18:35

Pandora (in store) had 3 for 2 on charms today, until early October I believe.

3 for 2 ELC toys in Mothercare today also, but think that's been mentioned already.

Llamacorn · 21/09/2017 18:38

I'd appreciate if anybody has a next referral code I could please use Flowers

Rockhopper81 · 21/09/2017 18:49

We bought the bungee bouncer in a charity shop for £1 a year or so ago (3 of my nephews and I) - they love it and it gets lots of use. Definitely recommend!! Smile

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 21/09/2017 18:58

wornout how about the Nintendo 2ds? I've got dd2 one off Facebook marketplace with case and 5 games for £30. Bought an additional game for £13 off schpock (rrp £35) dd1 is 8 and loves hers, wirks with original ds games and new 3ds games. Can get games from cex for less than £5. Favourites here are warioware touched, yokai watch, mario 64, pokemon. (my dd would literally explode with excitement at a gamecube, she played the nes and n64 at my friends and hasnt stopped talking about it since... shame we can't afford the going rate second hand!)
Other things dd (8) likes - minecraft, kindle fire, reading (captain underpants, beast quest, adventure time graphic novels, beano), pokemon cards, colouring books and sharpies. Cool tshirts - buy hers and mine from qwertee (limited fan drawn designs only available for 48hrs)

For 7 year old some things dd (8) and dd (5) are getting
Singing moana doll
Pillow pets
Busy books
Colouring and sharpies
Shopkins
Fun stationary
Twozies
Books
Dressing up (moana)
Character clothes, backpack, pencil case
Build a bear voucher

Jennywallpaper · 21/09/2017 19:33

So I've sent Debenhams an email about the bbf date on the maltesers so hopefully I'll hear something back, even a replacement box would be good!
