@tellmeitsnottrue I've just used your wonderbly link, thank you. Can't wait to receive the Charlie & chocolate factory book, has any one else gone for the fragranced option? I couldn't resist!

This is my LINK if anyone else would like to get 15% off a wonderbly book (if three people use this I will get a free book Flowers)

Also, not a massive bargain but this Lego Friends snow resort hot chocolate van is best price ever at £15 according to camel camel camel Lego set

Haudyerwheesht · 20/09/2017 16:27

mammy Ds is turning 11 this year - ideas I've had for him:
Books - he loves reading - Harry Potter, David baddeil, etc
Fidget toys like fidget cubes, star cubes, fart putty
Better stuff than he'd usually get for basics - e.g. Football team water bottle, notebook etc. Echo above that sports direct is good.
Games - uno, trivial pursuit, mini monopoly, PS4 accessories like skins for the controller

JangleJangleJangle · 20/09/2017 16:37

What are star cubes and fidget cubes? And where can I buy them? Your DS interests sounds just like my 9yo (well almost 10yo) DD1.

I've been thinking if getting her the David Baddiel books. She loves Harry Potter etc.

Badders08 · 20/09/2017 16:37

If your child has a specific interest (e.g. Harry potter) you can find really nice bespoke stuff on etsy like sorting hat bath bombs, personalised cards etc
Have had quite a lot of stuff and always been happy

NotPennysBoat · 20/09/2017 16:54

Thanks for all the bargains so far. I've got the coffee, the mascara and several Lisa Angel bits!

I'm on the lookout for:

  • How to train your dragon books
  • Any M&S discount (DH likes the Autograph pjs)
  • a 'proper' crown for 3yo DD (definitely not a tiara - something that sits fully on the head like a REAL queen obv!)
Badders08 · 20/09/2017 16:58

If you want the full set of HTTYD books then the book people is your best bet

Annwithnoe · 20/09/2017 17:12

NotPennysBoat Tiger had crowns that the Queen would be happy with but there website only shows the newest stock so not sure if they still have them.
Worth a visit though for all the other bargains and stocking fillers Wink

Unicorn81 · 20/09/2017 17:28

drspouse · 20/09/2017 17:38

I think HTTYD is on Book People flash sale today.

Hi. I have been lurking for a while, thought it was time to post. Thank you to the person who posted about the playmobil fire engine. Picked it up yesterday and it looks great.
I was in b&m today and saw a 20 pack of shopkins for £12.99. I thought that was a good price. I do believe they were season 3 though. They also had the season 3 baskets for £1.99.
Does anyone have ideas for a 3 year old DD and a 6 year old DS. DS has asked for power rangers ninja steel, and nexo knights stuff.

drspouse · 20/09/2017 18:20

My 3 year old DD is getting a toy motorbike (not ride on), a plate/cup set, subscription to Story Box magazine and a dress I'm going to make her (probably motorbikes/tractors).
My DM will probably give her puzzles/Orchard games and I might ask my DF to pay for her swimming or gymnastics.
Stocking fillers are picture book, chocolate, art stuff, maybe hair bobbles, monster pants and socks from the Tu sale.

drspouse · 20/09/2017 18:23

Oh and DS will get almost the same in his stocking, a remote control car (he's been asking since his cheap one broke last Christmas), Okido magazine, and bunk beds. My DM is getting him tickets to our local non-panto Christmas play and he's getting a colourful smart shirt to wear to the show/parties (he has one he likes but it's getting a bit small).

MorbidMuch · 20/09/2017 18:23

@AdamantEve

Thanks for your link. I used it for a copy of 'The Boy Who Lost His Name' at Wonderbly. My 5yr old will love it!

This is my Wonderbly link which gets others 15% off their Wonderbly order and I get a free book if 3 people use it.

Unicorn - sorry to hear about the surprise-finding duo! Did they know you were hiding presents, or did they go on a random rummage and strike lucky?

drspouse · 20/09/2017 18:25

Got my accidental coffee refunded, and I have one voucher so I'll get my DF a couple of packets and DH too.

christmasunicorn · 20/09/2017 18:40

rockhopper what happened was on Saturday I had a parcel delivered. It was from toys r us but just a plain brown box. Absolutely huge (incredible waste of packaging imo) but since I knew what was inside I just put it in my bedroom and left it. I do this quite often, even with things I've bought for myself, and happily leave boxes and parcels a week before opening. They have never opened any of my parcels before so I don't know why they picked today. Curiosity got the better of them I suppose. Fortunately it wasn't as bad as I first feared, as I thought they had hidden a few around but after checking the delivery note I now know the whole order wasn't there. Phew. So it was just 5 items and no big ticket items (that will hopefully be in the next delivery!) Just a few extras from the 2 for £15 offer and a book.

My apologies for this mornings rant.

On a more positive note - Superdrug now has its Christmas gifts online and some are reduced Xmas Grin

FoofFighter · 20/09/2017 18:43

Tili Beauty Box - £90 worth of stuff for £20

Saw a friend commenting on an fb post about this, thought it looked pretty decent :) might order one for myself for Xmas

FoofFighter · 20/09/2017 18:49

QVC code FIVE4U £5 off first order - using it with the Tili box I just posted above :)

StubbleTurnips · 20/09/2017 18:53

Always worth a look at HoF toy sale section, few Lego sets on there... www.houseoffraser.co.uk/sale/kids-and-baby/toys/04.427.0.0.0.0.pl

Tattybogle89 · 20/09/2017 18:55

Half price beauty advent calanders at Superdrug men's kids and ladies online

DandelionAndBedrock · 20/09/2017 18:57

25% off everything at Habitat today - sorry if already posted by someone else.

Dailystuck71 · 20/09/2017 19:03

Oh holy crap. Thread 5 already.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 20/09/2017 19:20

So I've decided to get more of the playmobil fire truck for gifts. I've sent the email alert but can anyone shout if they see it in stock?

Gooseysgirl · 20/09/2017 19:22

Thank you to whoever posted about the Tesco playmobil ambulance... I feel a bit better about missing out on the hospital (my nearest Asda didn't have it Sad)
