I've just lost an hour on another craft blogger's site due to a link (I think from the Poncetastic thread). This is the problem with MN and Christmas chatter - you loose yourself for days wandering around 'tinternet thingy! Especially when all the craft bloggers link to each other, and you get sucked into seeing what the others are doing, and starting to dream of what you could do.......

If only you just got on with your work, got home at a reasonable time, and made yourself that hour or so to work on things at night instead!!

I have bought currants so I am ready to assemble the mincemeat for an overnight soak before cooking it tomorrow. I have proposed my usual secret santa with my mum group, so lots of christmassing here :)

I have the day off work today and have had a wander around town. Found a full Christmas aisle in B&M (and added pics)

I have toothache - at what age should my wisdom teeth be through and done? I'm just in my 30s but it's only half through on the left and shooting pain through my jaw. I am quickly whizzing the Hoover around then settling in to a Christmas film and crochet for the afternoon 🎄

Booths order? Done!

M&S order? Done!

Gift bags for hard-to-wrap presents? Done!

Nooo I'm still here!! Dh is working lates at the moment so my evenings are taken up with the three chipets. I'm in bed by 9 nowgetting old

I was in Poundworld yesterday and they've only got a small Christmas section as they're focusing on Halloween right now. I imagine 1st Nov will be the start of the main event!

What's your paper plan, Sprouts? I've decided that all of the gifts I've not yet wrapped will be from us, not Santa! Give us some credit!

Has everyone else got miserable, wet and windy, weather? It's dire here!

Not sure about wet Fluffy as the curtains are still firmly closed but it sure is windy.

Was horrendous weather here yesterday, I dated to say to DH I wanted the main heating on (other than our one bathroom radiator which stays on to keep system going & dry towels!) & he nearly had a heart attack & reminded me & have a penchant for blankets which "don't just have to be for show" as he was "boiling"

Am trying to tick things off HGP, need a log store to put log in so we can actually light log burner...sooner that happens the happier I'll be!!

We’ve had the heating on for half an hour in the evening for a few weeks now as our bathroom is freezing so we wanted to take the edge off for the kids’ bath time.

For the last few days we’ve also been taking the edge off in the morning and today I’ve upped the time by 15 minutes at both ends of the day!

We’ll use less heating this year now that DD is at school full time and DS does 2.5 days at preschool. When they were at home more / younger we had it on far more!

I’m considering our autumn weight duvet right now. Though no doubt I’ll be too hot with it on. Since pregnancy I get way too hot in bed; I used to freeze. Weird things, hormones!

Did I mention I’d bought a chest freezer to cope with Christmas food?! It’s brilliant. (DH wasn’t impressed with having to move everything round the utility room to make room for it, however! 😂

When you have finished the shopping but you see something and it is just perrfect, or cheap and you buy it!

Last night I got a camel camel camel alert for a hot wheels track I had been tracking, £4 below my desired price. I bought it.

It’s when you’re done with buying but get sucked into buying something else because it’s a bargain / perfect for the recipient!

I’ve already twitched with DD. Just DS to go!

I buy posh paper for other people and cheap from the pound shop for the kids

FC has his own cheap as chips wrapping supply aside from the star present (one thing from their list) which gets every bow, ribbon and decoration I can gather and goes under the tree. This year we are doing gift cards and homemade fudge for everyone so I am making gift card envelopes using some nice paper.

Saw some lovely gift wrap in Clintons the other day, not sure what I am going to use this year...

I have made mincemat, I am going to cook it tomorrow in the slow cooker I think.

Ah right, now I understand. I am pleased to say that I am a professional twitcher. I had no idea it had a name 😂
