imsorryiasked Thanks again for the Ollie & Nic recommendation, I got round to looking at their website last night and bought a new bag and purse for a bargain £28!

ja9r · 27/08/2017 10:07

Has it been mentioned that Laura Ashley has 40% off everything until tomorrow?

MooPointCowsOpinion · 27/08/2017 10:25

I broke my phone and had nearly a week of no Christmas bargain thread! It's been awful. I can cope with no calls/texts/social media but I neeeeeed this thread.

So glad to be back! Anyone seen the Very toy sale yet? Last year I got dd(2) a bargain balance bike but when it arrived the writing was in Spanish.

Justguessing · 27/08/2017 11:02

ja9r I was also going to post about the Laura Ashley sale.

I visited a store yesterday and discovered that the 40% off also applies to sale items. I picked up a vase for my mum, it was originally £28, reduced to £12 in their sale but I got it for £7.20 with the 40% off deal.

They also have a few jellycat soft toys (not in the sale but included in the 40% off deal).

Sorry Barefaced groceries won't stack codes- prob my fault for stacking them before. :)

Last year Matalan did a few discount codes before Christmas so I'll keep an eye out. They were given in store but a few of us grabbed lots and pm-ed the codes.

lionsleepstonight · 27/08/2017 11:43

Thanks Tatty for the under armour sweatop link. Bought for hard to buy for DH.

Cupoteap · 27/08/2017 12:37

Anyone seen any other Star Wars stuff?

Sixp · 27/08/2017 12:41

I have just received my Lisa Angel order (have been on holiday so it was there waiting when I returned). I am so pleased with everything. It's all lovely. I am tempted to keep it all for myself

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 27/08/2017 13:09

Amazon have the Clarks Orinoco in black for £16.50

Not necessarily a Christmas bargain but maybe a winter boot one Grin

Coldilox · 27/08/2017 13:11

I want to get my DS a new Santa sack. We have a lovely one but it's only 50x70cm and too small - as a toddler a lot of his presents are big in size. Anybody know where I can get a nice bigger one? Bargainous if possible!

hoopdeloop · 27/08/2017 13:19

Sorry if this has been posted but John Lewis have a few bits and bobs in their sale. Managed to get a game for £4 and they have some other nice things

Tattybogle89 · 27/08/2017 13:19

@Cupoteap home bargains online and instore has lots of good star wars toys. here

Nzou1050 · 27/08/2017 13:46

Thanks for those boots Ihopeyousteponalegopiece the size I normally wear went up to £45 while I was dithering so went for the size up still at £16.50. Really hoping they fit!

The rock & ride pony posted by ipswitchwitch is a great price. We paid £10 more in toys r us for DDs birthday & that was with a £10 money off voucher. She loves it.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 27/08/2017 13:50

Nzou I know 2 people with them at they both had to size up anyway so fingers crossed!

Nzou1050 · 27/08/2017 13:53

Just bought myself this advent calendar for £1.98 on Amazon. Free delivery included with prime. Might be good for those looking for a traditional advent calendar. I always find them to be much more expensive than the chocolate ones.

Nzou1050 · 27/08/2017 13:54

Excellent news Ihopeyousteponalegopiece Grin

Changingagain · 27/08/2017 14:01

coldilox I got Ds one from studio last year and I wouldn't have paid more than a couple of pounds. It wasn't fantastic quality but definitely good enough for a single use each year. It was actually too big for us as I only put stocking filler bits in from Santa, (we do main presents separately and say who they're from rather than 🎅) so I ended up getting a big helium balloon to fill it.

FoofFighter · 27/08/2017 14:12

Any ideas for little bits to put into a fabric advent calendar? Like job lots of little bits n pieces? (childl aged 4 if that helps - no sweeties!)

Annwithnoe · 27/08/2017 14:14

coldilox this company got mentioned on these threads a few times last year. They give £10 off your first order if you sign up with them. Can't vouch for the quality myself but maybe someone else on here remembers them?

Annwithnoe · 27/08/2017 14:16

Foofighter
have you a boy or girl?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2017 14:17

We have sacks from there, Annwithnoe They're standard size, however, but lovely quality.

We've always just put the bigger stuff on the sofa around the sack, to be honest.

FoofFighter · 27/08/2017 14:24

Ann - girl but not caring if "gendered" stuff.

Annwithnoe · 27/08/2017 14:36

Christmas decoration
Slap band
Pack of crayons (the mini ones you get in restaurants)
Kinder toys
Hot wheels type car
Bobbins
Elastic necklace
Ping pong ball
Mood ring
Hair clips
Hair ribbon
Yo yo
Magnet
Lego mini figure
Coloured feathers

Charity shops often have baskets of party bag tat

Or you could put something in to symbolise an activity for the day, or print a picture of a place you are going and fold it up small and tie a ribbon

I'm toying with idea of doing a fairy garden advent calendar with dd using bits off AliExpress and making a fairy garden in a flower pot

FoofFighter · 27/08/2017 14:49

Thanks for those ideas.

I was more after a job lot bag of stuff you could maybe buy? I don't know, maybe there isn't such a thing, I don't have the time or energy to get seperate things Blush

Haudyerwheesht · 27/08/2017 15:13

Thanks for the street fighter game link - does anyone know what it's like? Ds is turning 11 and i know it's 12+. He's never had a fighting game before whereas his friends are allowed call of duty and GTA and anything really so I'm wondering if this might placate him a little?
