Yeah I think street fighter is fine for an 11 year old

christmasunicorn · 27/08/2017 16:11

We have the sacks @Annwithnoe mentioned and they are beautiful quality. We just leave larger toys separate

Annwithnoe · 27/08/2017 16:12

Never even occurred to me that you could buy a job lot!
Saw this but it's out of stock
Glad to know it's actually a thing!

CremeBrulee · 27/08/2017 16:19

I've just ordered the Unstable Unicorns game (similar to Exploding Kittens but with Unicorns) from the Kickstarter website to put away for Xmas. Not a bargain as such but a good one to put away for hard to buy for older DC.

GingleBelle · 27/08/2017 16:20

I'm on the hunt for bargainous Enchantimals.... if anyone sees any discounted anywhere, please could you point me in the right direction?
Thank you x

Rockhopper81 · 27/08/2017 16:33

Annwithnoe - these are finger puppets on Amazon:

Finger Puppets

There are others from the same seller, including 12 animals for the Chinese zodiac. You could order enough for all days of the calendar if you just wanted to order from one person/place? Of course, you'd need to be okay with doing a 'finger puppet advent calendar'!! Smile

imsorryiasked · 27/08/2017 16:34

foof you can get job lots of knock off shopkins (and Pokémon) from Wish. I've also seen 6 X Disney "type" fairies and some Minnie mouse figurines. Probably lots of other bits if you have a theme?

There are also lots of Moana necklaces on Wish if you're not too worried about them being the genuine thing Wink

SockEatingMonster · 27/08/2017 16:55

I think you're right @QOD, I've just followed a link to the cornerstone website and can no longer find the option to deselect items from the box. It was definitely there when I looked earlier this week. I didn't notice it when I finally got round to placing my order yesterday, but ordered the complete box (as I think it's right up DH's street and his birthday is soon), so don't know if it was still there then...

I had an email a little while ago to say some lovely person had used my referral link Flowers Perhaps they can tell us if it's still possible to opt out of the complete box?

SockEatingMonster · 27/08/2017 17:01

A potential bargain for those with DC with an iPhone 5/5S or iPod 5...

Romotive robot £19.99 from Amazon. I ordered it after reading this review. It looks like it was formerly quite a high-end bit of tech that was simply discontinued.

DH and I will be renewing our phone contracts before Christmas, so whichever child draws the short straw and ends up with my old 5S will get it!

I plan to unbox it and play with it test it when the children go back to school, so will let you all know if it's as good as the review suggests.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 27/08/2017 17:12

For fabric stocking I tend to buy a set like a box of farm animals or sea creatures then have the odd nicer day with a mini tractor or Christmas cup or something

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2017 17:12

I just went onto the Cornerstone website and clicked the 'Get Started' button. This is where it asks how often you shave. I easily deselected items from the box on that page.

QOD · 27/08/2017 17:27

I could do that too NoWord but then no £10 pff 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2017 17:32

Doing that gives you £10 off too according to the message at the top of the screen @QOD!

SockEatingMonster · 27/08/2017 17:48

I just tried cornerstone with and without a referral link from my phone. I used an old referral link from January in case it's the links that have changed.

When I didn't use a referral link I got the option to deselect stuff. As soon as I used a referral link the tick boxes to deselect vanished. Do you think they have tightened up their offer?

I'll try and post the two different screen shots I took. I set up a fake account and fracked the non-referral one through to the payment screen to see if the discount came off later, but it didn't...

Just seen the moana light up necklace is in the 2 for £15 deal if you need any other toys

buzzbeebee · 27/08/2017 18:09

Anyone see any deals for cards against humanity

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 27/08/2017 18:13

Thank you for the link to butterfly wing scarf - I ordered it for dd1.... maybe might convince her to wear a scarf in winter 😂

The original factory shop has some great bargains in store - I picked up a lovely adult colouring book for dd1 with all different animals for £1.50 had a few types. There was a thicker one with lots more pictures for £5 but was much more intricate. Also got a pillow pets ninja turtle that projects lights on the ceiling for £7

Has anyone spotted any moana costumes other than disney store? Don't want to order a Chinese copy as I'm wary of whether they are flame retardant. Hoping one of the supermarkets gets them in! Or any moana bargains as dd2 is mad about it 😂

For advent calendar bits in the past I've done bundles of moshi monsters, finger puppets and mini tsum tsum figures/yo kai watch discs last year. Unsure what to do this year. I buy in bundles second hand off eBay or whatever I find heavily reduced and think dd's might like. I'm leaning towards emoji/stationary themed for dd1 and some sort of mini figures like shopkins for dd2.

crispiecrunchie · 27/08/2017 18:14

Hawkins do pre filled stocking for all ages.
Not sure on quality but have seen them mentioned on here before!

nickdrakeslovechild · 27/08/2017 18:38

FoofFighter last year I orderd a bag of 50 shopkins on ebay for under £10 and put 2 in each pocket for DD calender.

She is nearly 6 and neither of us can tell the difference between these and the real ones. Just search ebay for Shopkins 50 there are loads.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2017 18:47

The referral does cost them more as there's discount to both parties. However, if you just want the discount without anyone else benefitting, you can still get that by going straight to Cornerstone and it will give you £10 off automatically.

See photo.

Llamacorn · 27/08/2017 18:48

The book people have some savings just now. £5 off when you spend £30 an £8 off when you spend £40 using code AUGUST40

SockEatingMonster · 27/08/2017 19:14

How strange NoWordForFluffy. When I type www.cornerstone.co.uk into my phone browser there's no discount. But when I typed 'Cornerstone £10 discount' into google and followed this link it worked.

Still couldn't get just the razor and blades for £4 though, as a £15 minimum spend (before £10 discount) had been applied. I could select just the razor, blades and one of the creams/gels for £9 though.

I guess not all links are equal Confused I wonder if clearing internet cookies helps?
