torthecatlady · 26/08/2017 11:14

Thanks for the monopoly link! I've been waiting a while for it to be this price again!

RyanStartedTheFire · 26/08/2017 11:17

In Tescos they have vtech toys like the Honeypot one and the Musical Tea Set for £10 each alongside a walker.

MrsRuby · 26/08/2017 11:20

Great thread! I think this beauty box, reduced to £15 could be good for teenage girls www.latestinbeauty.com/collections/the-beauty-box

Xmas 🌲

Ninjakittysmells · 26/08/2017 11:45

Well I have just knocked some presents off the list thanks to you lovely lot - oh! And downloaded a Christmas app.

I was made redundant and have zero money this year so need to plan ahead. Thank you!

Theromanempire · 26/08/2017 11:49

Just bookmarking as I love this thread Smile

I am also looking for a Switch but the prices are definitely sticking at £300ish Grin DS2 is desperate for one. Fortunately it is his birthday a few weeks before Christmas so I have explained it would be a joint present but £300 is still a lot Confused

Allhallowseve · 26/08/2017 11:57

Thanks to pp for the toot toot animal train link from Argos . Was a bargain for £12.99 .

Flibbertyjibbit · 26/08/2017 12:10

Thank you for the tesco code pygmywarrior DP very happy to have an echo, with £10 off and tesco vouchers we got one for £68!

Haudyerwheesht · 26/08/2017 12:18

next I bought the wilko base board and they were compatible.

Ds is turning 11 at Xmas and is literally the only one of his friends without a proper smart phone. Anyone know the cheapest way to get him a decent phone? I'm nervous about buying a second hand one privately but wouldn't mind from a legitimate source...don't have an old one to donate unfortunately. I'd probably prefer him to have a capped contract so he can't run up ridiculous bills....

FoofFighter · 26/08/2017 12:35

@MelinaMercury you've got the Tesco Motorola smart phone haven't you?

christmasunicorn · 26/08/2017 12:37

cornerstone

Tattybogle89 · 26/08/2017 12:39

@Haudyerwheesht Tesco caps contracts and I find them v. Reliable and los of good deals come up there for contracts. Also extra clubcard points and perks if more than one contract per household.

@next the wilko blocks are compatible with Lego. They are however not as good as Lego but that depends on if the child is used to using the real stuff. They don't stay together aswell and can be difficult to separate sometimes. But a young child may not notice.

Save £10 on huge paw patrol look out tower playset £99 at Argos £110 most other places. Crazy money but just in case any one is looking.. £5 voucher for £50 spend or £10 voucher £100 spend aswell at argos

woodwaj · 26/08/2017 13:20

I've just been to ikea. Nothing christmassy in there yet however i did spot rolls of cellophane in the craft isle for £1.90 perfect for hampers or wrapping bottles!

LucieLucie · 26/08/2017 13:33

@KitKatCHA I'd delete your post - that's a fake - potentially unsafe toy from China!

It's not even Paw Patrol it's DOG PATROL

VinoTime · 26/08/2017 13:57

LookFantastic X BareMinerals Limited Edition Beauty Box worth £62.00 can be snapped up for £28.00 here.

The box is down to £35 on the website but using code SUNSET will give you an additional 20% off, making it only £28.00. The products look full size to me, so there is no way this box of products is worth only £62 - I priced the items individually and the gel cream alone is worth £28!

You get:

  1. Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydration Gel Cream -Buttercream
  2. Full Size All Over Face Colour - Soft Romance
  3. Mini Smoothing Face Brush
  4. Full Size Original Mineral Veil
  5. Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion
  6. Full Size Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara
VinoTime · 26/08/2017 14:12

Have been following the previous 2 threads and have been inspired. Just made my first 2 Christmas purchases - the Dino (£10.99) and Dragon (£9.99) Thomas & Friends tracks from Argos. Absolute bargains! Thanks!

Kwackerly · 26/08/2017 14:14

I haven't found any good bargains, but in case anyone else is struggling for stocking filler type gifts for a ten year old boy, my son loves this thinking putty lots of colours and there's glow in dark and magnetic versions. The lava one looks good and is slightly cheaper.

GardenWorm · 26/08/2017 14:24

Gandys are celebrating a 30th Birthday (one of the brothers who own it), the code GANDYSBIRTHDAY gets you a free pair of their flip flops (add them to your basket and it takes the money off) with a £30 spend.
If you want an ethical present this company is amazing. Or if you know a teen who's going travelling?
The brothers, 2 siblings and parents were in the 2004 Sri Lankan Tsunami, their parents died. They set up their business and do an amazing amount for orphans in Sri Lanka.

imsorryiasked · 26/08/2017 14:40

The Happy Puzzle Company have got some great reductions in their sale.
They specialise in educational and lateral thinking games and puzzles but do everything from 3d jigsaws (football stadiums currently half price) to baby toys to family games to stocking fillers.
