What sort of age are the little people big dreams books good for? Haven't clicked through to have a look yet coz kids all over me atm, but dd is almost 6, going into yr1, been doibgphonics with yr 1 since spring term. DS is almost 8 going into yr3, only dropped about 6marks on the reading and writing bit of yr 2 SATS, is pretty much a free reader. Would they be suitable for either? Don't want to get DS anything too simplistic, but equally I like nice, clear, easy to read factual books for him, and I push my feminist agenda talk to him a lot about important historical women.

Frida Khalo and Maya Angelou are both £6.99 on BD for me House Coco Chanel is cheaper on Amazon though.

Gin I'm currently reading them to my 4 year old DD. I would say definitely suitable for your DD at 6 and the books might be a bit simplistic for your DS but they have a historical and factual page at the back which might interest him. I've taken these from our copy of Amelia Earheart.

Most of matalans range is still just saying 'coming soon' 😔 I have a big order to place so hope they are available shortly!

I love the look of the little people, big dreams books but I found them to be for younger children than my dd3 (8) I didn't like the entry to one either, I think I'm better just explaining historical women to her, but for younger kids they look amazing.

AceyMcLaughlin · 29/08/2017 17:19

Cor this is awesome! Ordered one each for my 5 brothers!

Ryan I wonder why they're so expensive for me? I'll try clearing my cookies to see if that makes a difference.

Can someone remind me of the best app to use to keep a track of the gifts?

Thanks
