I can recommend Santas bag as a Xmas app- it's great! Lists of people linked to gifts with budget tracking and you can password protect if necessary.

Anyone got any bright ideas for grandad presents please? He's off to hospital the day after his 83rd birthday next week so I want to get something nice but no idea what! He's into gardening, walking (but out of action at the moment), classical music and liquorice all sorts. I am stumped!

For anyone near an Easons, they had some great deals today. Wooden Ireland jigsaw at £2, puppet theatre with felt puppets to make yourself at £2.99 and Punch and Judy style puppets at £2. There were some other bits and pieces too. Don't know if it's just the NI stores or all of them.

To whoever recommended cuski.co.uk with the 50% off code thank you sooo much, I have just received my parcel of goodies of swaddles & muslins for pregnant friends & they are GORGEOUS & so soft. The giant ones I got were £7.50 with the code plus delivery about £1 extra spread when sodas out over what I bought & they are so much better than ones I bought before for at least double that. Thank you bargain hunters! A new go to shop found too!

@Minster - you're very welcome! They do regular sales, especially on the blankets and their "seconds" section is regularly full of bargains - I've never noticed any problems with any seconds items I've ordered and the customer service is great. Last Christmas they sent me the wrong colour and immediately sent me the correct replacement and never asked for the other one back. I ordered two cuskis yesterday - one for DH and one for DD2's stockings!

For anyone wanting to do a big online shop on Matalan / be warned. I spent close to £300 online and was slightly nervous as I don't usually spend that value online. The days rolled past and one day whilst in my house I get a text saying parcels delivered. I almost had a heart attack as I had received nothing. It took 3 weeks and 3 separate refunds to get my money back, and not forgetting SEVEN delegate phone calls to get it all sorted out. For some bloody stupid reason Matalan only refund pet delivery so as my order was in 3 parcels they needed to open 3 deferent claims. It was torture. I will never order from them again until they stop using yodel.
