Does anyone remember the birdhouse keyholders from Amazon last year? I gave mine as a stocking filler to Nan and Bamp and it was a sturdy and sweet little item. I'll try to link it now but I've never done it before ...

For whoever was looking for more Star Wars bargains - Cup was it you? have a look at the Force awakens battle action millennium falcon here
It's £39.99 - most sellers wanting £59.99+ for it. It's a good size, fires nerf darts and comes with 3 figures. My two love it, and spend many happy hours defending the galaxy!

mayathebee · 28/08/2017 23:41

Quick question about board games. I'm thinking about buying Game of Life or Junior Game of Life for my two DD (ages 7 and 5). Can anyone recommend one version or the other? Will the junior version be a bit too easy for DD7? It's much cheaper but I'll watch for a deal on the proper game if thats better.

Theimpossiblegirl · 28/08/2017 23:59

Very are doing a good fitbit deal, just got a charge 2 for £99.99, did click and collect to save delivery, 1.1% cashback through topcashback (2.1% for a new account). The deal is on a few styles.

My topcashback referral link if anyone is not yet a member

Cupoteap · 29/08/2017 06:20

PamelaEwing · 29/08/2017 06:27

Just a word of warning about second hand iPhones. I bought one for myself and all seemed fine for a week or so. But it would take forever to charge and couldn't cope with running some apps. Apple ran a remote diagnostic on it and the battery was on its last legs. Would only have lasted a matter of weeks before the phone would need a whole new one. Apple said this is a common fault with second hand phones. Sent it back. But other people on this thread seem to have had no issues so I guess it's luck of the draw! Smile

Laura Ashley have discounts so often now and their website is so badly laid out. I partly keep expecting to hear that they are going into liquidation as the next high street casualty.

Anyone have any experience of babyborn or baby annabelle dolls? Bith on offer in argos for the new versions and im torn 😁😁 was tempted to get a girl n boy doll from each range if couldn't decide lol. Help 😘

Soubriquet · 29/08/2017 08:25

I've had both..

Depending on the age of your dc

My Dd was 3 when she got them..she liked them but got bored very quickly. But she does get bored of new toys very easily anyway

She preferred baby Annabelle because she cried, blinked, breathed, sucked dummy and everything else.

But she liked baby born because she could put her in the bath.

So it's personal preference really.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 29/08/2017 08:31

Party pieces are having an end of season sale, lots of xmas stocking fillers or advent activities, and costumes for Halloween too.

Betsy86 · 29/08/2017 08:40

Soubriquet thanks for your help :) shes older shes 7 but has alot of learning delays but recently has been playing nicely with dolls she has. So when i saw these offers thought might get a new one for xmas.
She also gets bored easily aswell. Was going to but the bush baby tree but the more i look at it just seems alot of money for something that does very little.
I do like the new baby annabell bed that lights up but guess can use that with any doll! Oh gosh il keep thinking lol x

Llamacorn · 29/08/2017 08:46

We've had a few dolls from baby born and baby Annabell, my dds definitely preferred baby Annabell. As pp said the only thing mine really liked about the baby born was putting her in the bath. Baby borns here are only really played with every once in a blue moon, whereas baby Annabell is out daily, she's more like a 'real' baby and I think she looks nicer than the baby born too 👍

Betsy86 · 29/08/2017 08:53

Llamacorn thankyou :)
Do baby annabelles change much i was just thinking she does have one i got a few years ago but wasnt that big on dollys then so it is abit past it haha. But was thinking could get the boy version to go with it then the girl babyborn oh gosh i cant help but over buy i swear 🙈
Maybe il just get the annabelle and bed lol. Thanks for your help im so indecisive x

Llamacorn · 29/08/2017 09:03

Lol decisions, decisions! Could you maybe leave an Argos catalogue out and see what she goes for? Another annoying thing about baby born actually was that it always leaked water, and definitely not cuddly whereas Annabell has a soft body so is easier to dress and cuddle in to at night.
There's really not much between the Annabell versions tbh, a few different babbling sounds and a very early one we have doesn't burp whereas the newer ones do. And obviously different accessories with the new ones.
The boy dolls are super cute too but I did find it harder to find as many cute clothes and things for the boy dolls. (I'd quite happily put the bit doll in a pink sleepsuit but dd was having none of it lol)

mumofone234 · 29/08/2017 09:04

I haven't RTFT (sorry) but if anyone buys Pampers products it's worth downloading the app as you get points for every purchase that can be used to claim items and discounts - you only need 40 points (a £4 spend) to claim 15% off at Jojo Maman Bebe, so if your saving would equate to more than that it's worth just stocking up on wipes or something.

margaritasbythesea · 29/08/2017 09:05

I think the standard Annabell (the one that sucks) is lovely and also the First Baby Annabell. The one that walks never worked properly and then its head fell off and I haven´t been impressed with the others.

DD likes here Baby Born but it is much less cuddly.

I think the Annabell and the bed would be great.

Betsy86 · 29/08/2017 09:23

Thankyou for the dolly help ladies :) well babyborn advert just came on and she likes it but to her i think there all just dollys and she wont really mind either way its just me being fussy!
The new interactive babyborn does seem nice but annabelle does seem much more babylike and accessories are cute!
Both newest versions have £20 off in argos at the mo but only on 7 day offer so will end anytime soon must be more decisive lol xx

Wornoutboots thanks for the hexbugs link, these are great! I also noticed on the site they are selling 'Hive bee play sets' for £1 each- they are actually quite big according to amazon, selling on Amazon for about £10 each and with good reviews.

TOYSFORAPOUND Hive bee playsets

Carrie76 · 29/08/2017 09:30

@mayathebee I would go with the regular game of life. My two are 6&5 and I'm upgrading from the junior one this year.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2017 09:32

On the doll front, I bought the Tesco version of Annabell last year for DD and she's very happy with it. I couldn't justify the price of Annabell etc!

Betsy86 · 29/08/2017 09:46

Thanks :) i havent looked at tesco ones maybe il give it a browse. Although currently have annabelle x2 a bed and potty in my basket while im deciding lol! Annoying though as all available on different times and days and i wanted to get the free voucher when you selnd over £50 etc so thats slowing down my decisions lol. Il relook later my house is on its ass and im xmas browsing ooops xx
