Morning,

I have a lot of family who live a fair distance away, and a husband who doesn't like to think about presents too much, so I'm always asked to put together a list of ideas. Plus my birthday is right before Christmas. I've thought of a few things for this year - a particular Morton Brown hand cream, a couple of books, but now I'm stuck.

What are you asking for?

A new wetsuit, please!

BagelGoesWalking · 29/08/2017 23:30

Film vouchers if you like the cinema, membership of National Trust or similar, a lovely body scrub, years membership of Amazon Prime or Netflix. Coffee machine or some speciality teas, Waterstones vouchers.

New pyjamas
Perfume

And I can't think of anything else.

Fancy thermos coffee cup
Doc martens lace up shoes
Yarn, yarn and more yarn
Oliver bonas Indian pomelo shower gel
Activity gifts - cocktail making would be good, or maybe a wood carving workshop
Collectif vouchers for my retro dresses fix
Babysitting on New Year's Eve and a sleeping toddler!Grin

This is our first year in our own home and we've built-in some bookcases so I'd love to start a gorgeous books collection. This instagram account is giving me a good starting spot of what I'd like. www.instagram.com/blighted_star/?hl=en

My kindle is about to die a death after several years of great service so I'd also like a paperwhite.

I bought myself a backpack last year as my handbag and it's been great, I'd love a real leather version.

Or an elusive nice letter opener for work. Apparently they don't exist!

Or any and all experience gifts.

Or, even better, a nice BFP.

I think it's a safe bet that I will get what I want, which is nothing at all! I don't need anything that I don't already have and I don't want anyone to feel they have to spend money on something that I don't want or need, just because it happens to be Christmas (or my birthday). I just don't want any more "things".

JaneJeffer · 01/09/2017 09:37

I'd love a Phillips Lumea and an IPhone. Can't afford them though. I'll probably end up getting a pair of slippers!

Star2015 · 01/09/2017 21:23

I would like-

  • Some lush bath bombs
- Some nice bubble bath
  • PJ's- I recently bought some from Tesco the ones you get in the plastic packaging... they were £12, I bought them 2 sizes bigger than what I am and I love them
  • an Emma Bridgewater mug
  • White Company hand wash and lotion
- some OPI nail varnishes in a couple of different nude colours - a hot water bottle - I'd like a couple of the Tanya Burr eyeshadow palettes
  • some Cath Kidston fluffy socks and maybe a new purse from there
feltcarrot · 03/09/2017 20:27

I would love some Jo Malone Red Roses cologne and/or bath oil,
new sheepskin slippers, I have worn holes in the toes of my old ones,
Picture frames for some prints I have, and a clear nail varnish with some glitter!

oldlaundbooth · 04/09/2017 02:01

I'd love a la creuset casserole but they're too dear.

I could actually do with a food processor too.

Nice shower gel.

I reckon I'm in line for a pod coffee machine though. Which is great but will end up costing a bloody fortune in pods as I'll have about 8 a day!

A feather and down duvet

Another one here who doesn't want too much stuff in the house.
Perfume, jewellery, a new basket for the cat (saw a cute one a bit overpriced).
