I've got my main presents for all of the family. It's been the tradition for the past few years for me to buy tickets for everyone to go to the local theatre for a night at the excellent rock and roll panto. It's not quite the same without my Ddad, who loved it the best, but whenever I ask other family members if that's what they want to do, they always do.
So I then look for some small, token gift for opening on the day.
DH's main gift is bought as he's quite a technophobe who dislikes a smartphone and laments the loss of the nokias he used to own. So I've got him the retro re-released Nokia 3310. He'll prob complain, but he does about anything I get him grouch .
The DDs might not want anything in particular. So I've been looking on pinterest and I've found some cute ways to fold money gifts to make them look more interesting. DD1 will be 17 the Feb after and is starting to save for driving lessons. DD2 may think of something she'd like by then instead of money.
I've started to pick up stocking fillers. Folding brush/mirror things. A full sized frizz taming multicoloured brush for DD2, pud-in-a-mug sachets and grape fanta (bleurgh) for their stockings. :)
Totally keeping an eye out for the cereal advent calendars! I got a yankee one for DD2 last year (reduced in Tesco) and as she loves candles, but she still has the majority of the ones she opened.
