Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

It's called 'santas bag' billy
(And it's so satisfying filling in all the columns! 😁)

Augustwashout · 31/07/2017 11:54

also after nintendo 2ds or similar, have a very small cachet of presents hidden, booked all xmas stuff today - its begun - Huzzah! Grin

Reastie · 31/07/2017 11:58

OhHoly I'm going to download that app, looks good.

Soslowmo · 31/07/2017 12:34

Just got the app - love it!!!

Llamacorn · 31/07/2017 12:37

Woohoo! Thanks reastie for this thread, and thanks so much to sprouts for all of the prequel bargains.

I used santas bag app last year and am using it already for this year - I think it's fab! Definitely helped me stick to budget (although I tended to type in a cheaper price for everything incase dh wanted a look 😳)

I have a few things bought for this year, but I'd like to get a move on with the rest as it's dh's 40th in December and organising a big party for him. I'd like to be finished with my Christmas presents before then so I can concentrate on that.

I think dd1 & dd2 will be getting new iPhones this year, I'm not sure for dd3 though as she is still massively into toys but no main I can really think of, except the our generation school & vets. The size difference in the girls gift piles will be huge though!
I'm tempted to buy dd3 a laptop as she has asd and dyslexia amongst other things, and the school are trying to teach her to touch type. She loves gaming too so I know it would be used, just can't make my decision yet.

OhHolyFuck · 31/07/2017 12:42

Has anyone booked any Christmasy type experiences yet?
I'm looking for any near me (Lancashire way) but haven't come across any

Soslowmo · 31/07/2017 12:44

The app I got is called 'manage Christmas'

2ducks2ducklings · 31/07/2017 12:50

I could really do with help this year! My daughter is 12 and son is 9. We're also expecting our third on November and renovating our house so organisation is the key as well as some bargains (this year is bloody expensive).
If anyone has any ideas as to what to get my kids, I'll love them forever. My son has asked for three different football kits. My daughter laughed at me when I asked what she would like because 'mom, it's July! Hmm'.

Strugglingmumbot · 31/07/2017 13:05

I'm looking for a buggy and a soft baby doll for my DS who will be 20 months old at Christmas.

If anyone sees any bargains please shout :)

LexieLulu · 31/07/2017 13:19

@Strugglingmumbot ELC have a wooden toy buggy with £10 off in the sale x

NoWordForFluffy · 31/07/2017 14:12

@OhHolyFuck we're doing Lakeside and Haverthwaite Santa train. I was looking at doing something else as well, but DH is being a Scrooge about it!

Catanddogmake6 · 31/07/2017 14:12

73Kitty Hell Bunny has a funky cherry apron. Sadly not in the sale but 10% off for new customers. Collectif also had a cherry brooch. Don't know if it was caught by the 50% off everything but postage is steep.

Oh Holy did you see the Seedlings box for boys on the last thread. It was half price on Amazon at £9.99

Tigger83 · 31/07/2017 14:14

There's a toy buggy in the toyrus sale I think

Strugglingmumbot · 31/07/2017 14:18

Thanks guys! Will look!

And if anyone spots a doll that isn't pink I'd be very grateful. I can't stand pink.

Apparently doll manufacturers seem to think that all dolls must be either pink or blue (and I can't find a blue one anywhere for that matter!)

OhHolyFuck · 31/07/2017 14:27

catanddog Ive just gone back to look for it, thanks, it's on my 'Amazon buy when I have some actual money' list!

mumbot some here

torthecatlady · 31/07/2017 14:31

I'm hoping to do a gaming hamper for my husband this year. Just little bits and pieces related to gaming he may like. If anyone spots any cheap bits, please let me know!

Catanddogmake6 · 31/07/2017 14:36

Oh Holy another place to look for little bits would be Smiggle. Amongst the mountains of pink they usually do a boys version or two of everything. Don't know if the sale has finished but they do offers. Also they do "packs" from the £12 to £20 price range. They are much cheaper than buying individually and usually have a good combination of things in like notebooks, pencil case, pens, rubbers etc, etc. You can of course always then split them up. They are now on the website but you do have to look or they have them in stores.

frid · 31/07/2017 14:36

torthecatlady, have a look in the Hawkins Bazaar sale, if you haven't already, because there's quite more mature bits at a good price

OhHolyFuck · 31/07/2017 14:38

I'd have never have thought of smiggle, I've seen threads about it but we don't have one nearby so it hadn't even crossed my mind
Will look there now, thanks for thinking of that cat

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 31/07/2017 14:43
