Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

Feeling organized this year
Already got the teens main gift- lego cinema. Always struggle with his big one so it's out of the way and just the fun bits to get.

Absolutely no idea for the then 7 year old. Need to think on him

Dp:no idea yet. Something to make probably

I have however done my two sisters and my mum in the boots sale in Jan so that's three down already...only a bazillion others to buy.

Also we've finally moved from our tiny postage stamp sized flat to a tiny postcard sized house so I can do outside lights decorate the house and have a big take up all the space sized tree.
Excited? Me?. Ridiculously!

Wait4nothing · 31/07/2017 07:13

Ohh I haven't started - I decided last night I'm going with duplo farm set for dd (18 months at Xmas) as she loves her duplo animals (and I want a farm set).
We want less more played with toys (as there might be only a short amount of time I can still see my living room floor). Hoping to avoid any big (kitchen, tent etc) presents until she's moved to the bigger bedroom. So I'm a bit stuck!

Rainybo · 31/07/2017 07:17

Can I join in too? I have two 11 year old girls to buy for, just about to start secondary and I'm struggling with the jump from toys to teenage-y stuff! What will they like?

pinklemonade84 · 31/07/2017 07:28

Does anyone know ig mothercare have any toy sales coming up please? I'd love to get dd one of the larger happyland sets. We're trying to go with quality over quantity this year (totally overwhelmed her for her first last year) and one of those sets would take a big chunk of her budget.

christmasunicorn · 31/07/2017 07:36

Placemarking!!!
Second full year on these threads (though I've gone through a dozen name changers since then!). Last year we had to tighten the budget to £100 per child but thanks to you guys that meant a still impressive stash!
I don't think we are after big presents this year, we don't tend to buy anything over £20. Big presents are for birthdays but seeing as all 4 dc are Dec-feb I'll still be looking for those bargains!

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 31/07/2017 07:52

I had a dream last night that it was two days before Christmas and I had nothing bought for my kids - all under eight!! I woke up with this shocked look on my face and my heart racing!! Until I remembered it was still summer!!😂😂 this thread is going to be so useful for me as I need to spend very little this year. Well, as little as possible.

Mama1980 · 31/07/2017 08:16

Placemarking, thanks as always everyone these threads are awesome :)

NoWordForFluffy · 31/07/2017 08:20

Unicorn, we are big presents for birthdays too, then a mix of stuff for Christmas. My two have loads this year and it's under £100 per child, which is great!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 31/07/2017 08:41

Loving the look of that go kart OhHolyFuck

Was thinking I might get one for dd2 thread baby's 4th birthday!

nickdrakeslovechild · 31/07/2017 08:45

Not exactly a bargain, but I remember someone on this (or another of the christmas threads active at the moment) mentioned that their order of the bush baby melina had been cancelled at Amazon.

They were doing it as a pre order for £19.99 which was the cheapest price at the time. My order at Amazon now is for an unknown delivery date so I have had to cancel it.

I was looking at Smyths and they also have it in stock now for £19.99 I got it from there so thats the final bit for DD birthday.

MelinaMercury · 31/07/2017 08:58

Ooh yeay, it's officially Christmas prep time now :o

Eurghhh · 31/07/2017 09:01

Soslowmo · 31/07/2017 09:14

Rainy my eldest dd has just finished y8. She wanted a hype back pack last year and a jack wills bag for days out with friends (I got the one in the picture). Also nice pencil crayons and felt tips were requested and so were clothes.

flapjackfairy · 31/07/2017 09:15

I am well down my list as i have been shopping since jan and got some great bargains along the way so feeling a bit smug! Thanks to all who post bargains on here ! Much appreciated !
Also stuck on hols in a caravan in the rain so finished off youngest 2 this week . All ordered online and delivered to older kids at home. I have 2 with sn and dropped on a sale of sensory toys so that has been a great help.

Has anyone seen any boys craft-y type bits? DS1 likes making books, writing stories, creating things out of cardboard but loads of stuff seems to be pink and flowery - looking for some of that patterned Japanese tape maybe, his own scissors, maybe crayons/felt tips, paper etc

Rainybo · 31/07/2017 09:30

Thank you soslowmo Smile a nice day bag could be a good idea as she has just started going to town with her friends.
