Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

Thanks frid, I'll take a look!

WreckTangled · 31/07/2017 15:51

Ok the man in the bike shop thinks we should wait a bit before we get ds a new bike so we need a main present idea for him (ds not the bike shop man). He wants a motorbike but he's only four so probs won't happen Grin

nickdrakeslovechild · 31/07/2017 16:02

Someone on the previous thread did a link to the advent calenders on www.tambeauty.com they are back in stock. Got one for my friend and one for me!

littlepinkgiraffe · 31/07/2017 16:20

Thank you for the not on the high street code- just picked up a selection of bitsGrin
My app of choice is no more socks (recommended on last years thread I believe!)

onedsrightnow · 31/07/2017 18:15

Just bought one of these for my best friend for Xmas and one of the mom ones for my sister who just had a baby. Think they are so cute and look way more expensive than the price!

eyebrowsonfleek · 31/07/2017 18:58

Thanks for the advent calendar link. Dd will love it.

Oreocrumbs · 31/07/2017 19:11

Season greetings to all - I love these threads!

It's dd's birthday next week, I'm all done for that (thanks in part to Sprout's preview thread) apart from a new bike. She's needs a proper bike now. Crikey, they ain't cheap.

I have started Christmas though, and I have booked our Santa visit. We will be going to Alnwick Gardens. The Santa there is amazing, that also isn't cheap 🙈 but really he is fantastic, so if anyone is up that way and unsure, I highly recommend there. I'm hoping to attach a pic of him if I can figure out how to chop of the kids!

flapjackfairy · 31/07/2017 19:13

I have just ordered 2 advent calandars for my girls so many thanks nick for the tip x

BlueSkies0207 · 31/07/2017 19:17

www.yourdesign.co.uk Hopefully the link will work, if you go to their Facebook page via the link they are giving away free superdad t-shirts. I don't think they have many left but worth a try as an extra present.

Reastie · 31/07/2017 19:18

We booked the panto in January!!

Haven't booked Father Christmas yet but not sure where to go. They sell out so quickly around here in the SE for the good ones and last year I had a hideous experience where santas elves were discussing in front of dd how elf on the shelf was created by parents who moved them every night Shock . I'm still not sure if it ruined dds belief in her elf as I'm not sure if she'd tell me or keep it secret Angry .

Shearer Candles have some decent savings on some items. I've ordered some quite a lot of the hand wash and hand lotions for work colleagues. They are nice quality and smell amazing, as do their candles. Much nicer than Yankee and not as expensive as JP Malone etc. Can recommend the cinnamon Spice and the hollyberry scents. Free postage on orders over £30.

imsorryiasked · 31/07/2017 19:30

Its the last day of the HEMA sale today - sine great little bits like makeup brushes and stationery. Extra 10%+ off with code on their Home page
Can't link as website doesn't work on my phone Sad.

CheekyFucker · 31/07/2017 20:02

Placemarking Smile

yaffle · 31/07/2017 20:09

Blatant place-marking .

Just came across this on my trawls if anyone has teen/older girls /doing beauty hampers www.smashbox.co.uk/product/12046/50964/palettes-kits/beautiful-escape-edition/beautyoftravel if you use the code SAVE5 you get £5 off and there's 10% cashback if you go via Quidco ( I would imagine TPC is the same ) so £75 worth ( I imagine that's based on per ml price value ) for £20 (£18 after cashback) . The MAC mascara is full-size so that will be going in dd2 's (20) direction , I'll probably keep the Origins , Bobbi Brown shadow and Estee Lauder Night Repair mini for myself Grin

Rainybo · 31/07/2017 20:12

Oh you've all got me started now!

Lisa Angel website has some big reductions on little stocking filler bits of jewellery and homewares for a couple of pounds and delivery is free (can't link on my phone...)

nickdrakeslovechild · 31/07/2017 20:37

oooh thanks Rainybo I forgot all about Lisa Angel, I had a voucher for there too.

redexpat · 31/07/2017 20:44

Ive made a start on advent. Ive ordered the thomas box set from the book people for £20 which has 26 books. Have ordered disney cars from china on ebay, 4 of them for sunday advent gifts. Have ordered an annie and clarabel from wish.

I noticed that some of the wooden thomas trains are reduced in argos and toysrus.

The wish app is brilliant for small bits for stockings etc. But everything takes a month to arrive because it comes from china.

Nzou1050 · 31/07/2017 20:49

My DD is too young so not sure how good this is but found a my little pony toy reduced from £14.99 to £2.99 link

AlexanderHamilton · 31/07/2017 20:51

The big success last year fircus was dh' Cornerstone razer. He LOVES it. We kept the subscription going & every so often they offer a free shaving gel etc which he says are the best he's ever used. Fantastic customer service, no problem halting or changing the frequency of the subscription.

We had to have a separate referral thread last year. My link to get the £10 credit is www.cornerstone.co.uk/7jul0246 (this means you can buy a personalised razor & first set of blades for £4 & I get credit off my next order

But please feel free to tell me to set up a separate referral thread if necessary (that way lots of mumsnetters were able to refer each other)

StealthNinjaMum · 31/07/2017 20:54

Welcome back reastie!

I've been a bit slow this year but last week in Sainsbury's bought dd a DVD with How to Train Your Dragons 1 and 2 for only £5.

DD2 loves these films but we don't have them yet.

AlexanderHamilton · 31/07/2017 21:07

@yaffle you link takes me to an American snashbix site & I can't find the products you are talking about.

AlexanderHamilton · 31/07/2017 21:11

I've fosuns it. Dd loves those Bobbi brown eye creams & shed adore the mac mascara!
