ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 29/07/2017 10:21

Thanks for hexbugs info! Ds1 will be 4 this Christmas so think I'll give them a go

AgnesBrownsCat · 29/07/2017 10:53

I have a voucher for £15 off a £30 spent for gap/gap outlet . Message me if you would like it . I'm not going to be able to use it and it expires today .

AgnesBrownsCat · 29/07/2017 10:53

Hex bugs are fab ! And addictive to watch

MelinaMercury · 29/07/2017 12:05

Well... Not exactly a mega bargain but found a lady who will make DS a single bed sized crochet blanket (to replace his much loved worn out baby granny square) for £45 which seems very reasonable :o

Have chosen colours and design do can't wait to see it when it's done now :o

MelinaMercury · 29/07/2017 12:41

Oh and now you've got me looking at Hexbugs!

DS had the nano one when they first came out I think and liked it but the batteries why dud and he lost it before I could replace.

I am now eyeing up the Hexbugs Scarab beetle, they look awesome! They're £8.99 on Amazon. Anyone recommend this or just the nano?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 29/07/2017 13:00

Thanks Tangled, she doesn't watch it anymore as she's now 5. But I'd still sit and watch it!

Didn't people have problems getting those reindeer horns last year?

frid · 29/07/2017 13:13

That Lego snow globe is amazing. Shame (or maybe it's lucky) that I don't need £60 worth of Lego

MelinaMercury · 29/07/2017 13:36

You can buy the snowglobe on eBay for £20/25, they did it last year too.

FireflyGirl · 29/07/2017 13:56

My reindeer game didn't turn up last year, and I don't think I was the only one Angry

TheImprobableGirl · 29/07/2017 14:06

Mine never turned up Sad

TheImprobableGirl · 29/07/2017 14:10

The Roberts' are still very much in use! Looking for a cheap screwball scramble if anyone knows of a dupe?
Hiya tea cakes & girl , and of course reastie Grin how are the rest of the Roberts holding up?

TheImprobableGirl · 29/07/2017 14:19

Bookpeople code; £8 off a £40 spend or £5 off a £30 spend with code 40WEEKEND this weekend. Julia Donaldson 8 book set for £9.99 (the Lydia Monks ones I think- what the ladybird heard/singing mermaid etc) and usbourne activity books 6 for £7.99 are both great buys.
Also is compatible with other offers (e.g. Two for £5 on the new satirical famous five books [5 go to brexit island, 5 lose dad in the garden centre etc] and buy one get one half price on hardbacks!)

christmasunicorn · 29/07/2017 15:59

improbable screwball scramble is awesome! I bought it last year for £10.79. Have you got it registered on ccc for when the price drops?

I went RL shopping today and picked up some elf leg warmers and an elf scarf for ddog for 50p each from peacocks. They had a few christmasy bits in there for 50p

Boredomismyenemy · 29/07/2017 16:14

There still lots of bits in the clearance section on the John Lewis website, toys and games. I've just bought some Melissa and Doug bits for extended family and friends children- decorate your own.... are only £4. There are Lego torch key rings for similar price, nice little stocking fillers. Lots of playmobil too, the carry case ones are only £5.50.

GinYummy · 29/07/2017 16:15

I picked up a few little folding hairbrushes with mirrors in wilkos for 50p today. Will be perfect for stockings.

GinYummy · 29/07/2017 16:21

Also Avon book was delivered today sbc there was a separate clearance book. There are some really good bargains like scarves, jewellery and bath products that would be good for gifts.

AgnesBrownsCat · 29/07/2017 16:26

Gap voucher has been claimed .
The lego snow globe is lovely , my mum and I built it together after Christmas lunch last year . I think I bought the lego walle and the ghostbusters car for the kids to get it . The year before the free gift was a gingerbread house . They make lovely Christmas decorations on my hall table .
Im looking forward to the free gift this year and will buy lego for my present box if there isn't anything I want .

AgnesBrownsCat · 29/07/2017 16:27

For the children obviously 😜

Rockhopper81 · 29/07/2017 16:54

AgnesBrownsCat - I'm interested to see what Lego's Christmas 'freebie' will be this year too. I got the snowglobe last year and it was great (bought the Christmas train to get it). I collect the winter village sets, so it wasn't an unusual purchase.

To be fair, no Lego purchase is unusual for me, I love it. Just bought 3 BrickHeadz in the Argos 3-for-2...they're for me and are already built! Smile

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 29/07/2017 16:58

How much are the lego/playmobil calendars at their cheapest, can anyone remember? Just looking at last year's on amazon for £17/20 so not sure if it may be better to get those.

Nearlyadoctor · 29/07/2017 16:59

Unicorn81 thank you for House of Harris tip - just ordered £41 worth. Not presents though, just for meeeee 😂
