Hello Bargain hunters! I'm usually on the threads later in the year but with various name changes.

With all the talk of games can anyone recommend any good ones for a 6yo to play with adults? DS loves labyrinth, don't know what else would be good though?

Will keep an eye out for bargains to post

ProfAnnieT · 28/07/2017 17:39

Carcassone, Always? Not sure you can get it as a bargain.

christmasunicorn · 28/07/2017 18:19

Thank you for the Shout shout 😊 One ordered - not sure who for. Looks like fun.

Soslowmo · 28/07/2017 18:59

Always ds loves his angry birds frustration game that he got when he was about 6. Dd (6) was given the frustration kids have for Christmas and the whole family enjoy playing that one too.

Hi everyone! I'm soooooo excited about Christmas! Love you lot. This'll be my fifth year on here (formerly spottyteacakes but haven't changed since last year)

ja9r · 28/07/2017 20:08

@VivaJen Thanks for the Country Living code. Great to get a discount on something I'm buying anyway. Flowers

Reastie · 28/07/2017 21:08

Always, dd is 6 and enjoys monopoly (adult and child version), bugs in the kitchen (has hex bugs with it. It's quite a quick and simple game), pass the bomb child version, pictionary child version, a game called enchanted something or other (I forget but I think it's made by the same company that do labyrinth). Jenga is also good as is game of life. Probably not recommended as it's all about gambling but dd also really likes going for broke!

Reastie · 28/07/2017 21:08

. Will people stop changing names, it's really confusing me!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 28/07/2017 21:52

So pleased someone remembers me and my bin bag antics horror Grin

I'm so excited for these threads...now I store my items in a more sensible place!!

Wasn't even a DH who did it, it was my own twatiness

AlwaysOldBeforeMyTime · 28/07/2017 22:09

Thanks for all the suggestions!

DS loves his hexbugs so I'll have to keep an eye out for bugs in the kitchen! You've all reminded me that our old frustration broke when DH got VERY frustrated with it and needs replacing too so thanks!

According to Facebook there's a free Lego snow globe when you spend £60 bit.ly/2uJTp1P I have unfortunately been banned from buying more Lego so can't partake in it 😫

AlwaysOldBeforeMyTime · 28/07/2017 22:11

P.s. I recall some sort of issue over bitly links which the above seems to be but I have no idea what they are so apologies if it upsets anyone!

Soslowmo · 28/07/2017 22:48

Yes, my 6 & 10 year old also love bugs in the kitchen!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 29/07/2017 00:09

Waves to all the regulars! The countdown is on and the thread is picking up speed!Grin

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 29/07/2017 07:46

I'm completely confused by hexbugs! Just read a description on smyths and it was like it was written in a different language Confused

What is/are hexbugs?!

AlwaysOldBeforeMyTime · 29/07/2017 07:56

Hexbugs are weird little things that basically vibrate their way around their "habitat" (little maze thing that they come with) looking like confused little insects. They're oddly addictive to watch!

WreckTangled · 29/07/2017 08:01

Ooo I think my Ds would like hex bugs. It's his birthday in November would we just buy a pack of bugs and a habitat? Which would you recommend?

Girl I think of you every time I see a curious George DVD Grin
