So many people have said they miss the bargain threads that I thought I would have to start EVEN earlier this year.

I went into my local poundland today and all the christmas items were reduced to 5p. They had a lot of tat, but also some really nice cupcake box sets, cake boxes and all the single relation cards. Got some amazing things to put away.

Picked up a few gifts for birthday parties today in Hamleys: they had some nice reductions on books (some were half price) and some of the Orchard games. I was able to get things that my kids already have and love which is a double bonus: they won't be nagging me to get for them what they are giving away, and I can be as confident as you ever can be that it's a decent present and not just more tat. I stocked up on wrapping paper (Dealz/Poundland) and cards too.Usually I encourage the kids to make cards for their friends but it's nice to have a standby for the last minute rush.

bought this for 6.37 from Wilkinsons today very pleased
also got a lot of rolls of paper 10p a roll and bows 10p a pkt ,am very pleased but am trying to secrete it about the house as I vowed to hubba and myself I would not buy stuff but I love doing it!!! lol

It's now been confirmed (although I have seen that said for earlier dates) that the boots sale will be this friday (20th)

It has been mentioned that it will be UP TO 70% off, the signs in shop (always printed on back of 50% signs) just say 70% off though. It's always all been 70% off in past years, not up to 70%, so I'm not sure if it will be everything or only some things because it's always been a Wednesday in the past but it's a Friday this year
