Hello!

So many people have said they miss the bargain threads that I thought I would have to start EVEN earlier this year.

So here we are!

Happy hunting

Ooh groovster Id love to see a pic of your Aliexpress shopping basket.

Dd's birthday today & having seen how crazy the children got over a folding hand fan that I'd cleared out of my office, ended up getting a few for presents-she gave her brother one & they are delighted! So that's my top tip for stocking fillers! Don't want tat but it's so hard getting bits that are useful!

I buy wee figures such as these lego knock offs. These are for the advent calendar. The wee plants vs zombies shooters are for party bags. £2 each for a zombie, plant and 3 balls. I think it's a good wee toy.

I was in pound land yesterday and they have some lovely paw patrol jungle rescue stationary bits. They had a lenticular notebook, locking diary with pen, shiny sticker pack, stationary set. They had blue with chase on or pink with skye. I got one of each thing for my arty daughter!

They also had the secret life of pets ty teenie beanie boos (like tsum tsum) for £1 each. Large angry birds keyrings from the film.

Tesco have some good reductions on toys. I got the tigger tsum tsum case £6 reduced from £30, triple packs of tsum tsum figures £1 from £4.95, large multipack of tsum tsum figures £4.95 instead of £18.95. Triple pack of Glimmies £2, and a shopkins illuminate nightlight for £1.50 instead if £6 :) they had ninja turtle and wrestling ooshies for £1 instead of £5 but had none left in my store.

Argos has the basic paw patrol vehicle and pup for £6.99 - they had tracker in my store unfortunately not apollo and his car who dd wants...

Groovester · 15/07/2017 11:24

Now comes the wait though. 15 parcels to come...

sunshineunicorn · 15/07/2017 12:19

Still very expensive but gltc has its sale here
lieka I completely agree about prime day. I was after 2 Amazon fire tv sticks and a new kindle (just the cheapest one) and the fire sticks only had £10 off and the kindle had nothing. I was very disappointed so didn't buy anything

SideOrderofSprouts · 15/07/2017 15:45

I haven't even counted how many parcels I will get eventually...

I'm contemplating arranging a PO Box just to hide the parcels from dh

Thanks Tatty, that playmobil crane is perfect for building-mad DS2. Looks massive in the picture with the little boy stood next to it!

Tattybogle89 · 15/07/2017 18:10

@ipswichwitch it's an amazing price for what it is! The box it comes in is giant too lol looks an impressive gift😁

SideOrderofSprouts · 15/07/2017 19:49

Had an email from Hearst magazines that they have a number of subscriptions on sale this weekend- 5 issues for £5- things like Jamie Oliver magazine, red, Cosmo, good housekeeping
No good for Xmas obvs but might be helpful for a summer bday gift

LostMyRubySlippers · 15/07/2017 22:26

Yourhand I was going to suggest same as firefly re making your own mugs. Last yr I bought White mugs in argos about £4 for 6 then decorated with porcelain pens.
I copied idea I'd seen online & did black dots for eyes & mouth, orange 'carrot' nose to make a snowman face then wrote names underneath. Don't think I have a pic but if you search on Pinterest it should come up. They were dead easy but looked good. May do some more this year!

ProfAnnieT · 15/07/2017 23:00

I couldn't get the clairesbff code to work but did notice that they have a Ty Beanie Boo for £7.00 in the 3 for £5 deal - 6 inch Poofy the Poodle. You can actually get 3 for less than the cost of 1. There's also a Violetta messenger bag for £8.00 in the 3 for £5.

SideOrderofSprouts · 15/07/2017 23:04

I think you need to be logged into the site and signed up for emails

80% off at Jewel Unique with code EXTREME80 I haven't used them before but a friend said she has. I expect the jewellery quality will be around the price paid though rather than full price?!

woodwaj · 15/07/2017 23:54

Side order im going to need a refresher course on clicky links Wink

NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2017 06:57

Hearst would work for Christmas, I think, as I've just signed up for Good Housekeeping (so I get the Christmas edition!) and you can delay the start date. It's worth a look, if you're interested in giving it as a gift.

ipswichwitch · 16/07/2017 07:37

For all you card makers out there - had an email from Hobbycraft and their Christmas dies are in stock starting from £3.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 16/07/2017 08:32

Oh that's a good idea fluffy, I always get the Christmas issue so think I will do that.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 16/07/2017 12:32

Just to follow on from tatty's Argos finds up thread, I collected the Playmobil police van + knights set this morn, and they are really decent for the price. Had to pay for a bag because they were much bigger than I expected!

LostMyRubySlippers · 16/07/2017 14:25

Thanks fluffy I will take another look!!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2017 14:56

Ah, think November delivery (for the Jan magazine) is the last month you can choose. Bugger.

LostMyRubySlippers · 16/07/2017 15:57

My SIL has bday in Oct so may still get one for her....

Catanddogmake6 · 16/07/2017 19:57

Just had a look at the T&Cs for the Hearst magazine and they seem to suggest that you have to subscribe for a minimum of 12 issues. It may be a mistake on their part as it is on the first page with the other subscriptions but thought I should highlight.

Thanks - another one awaiting lots of Argos boxes and Welsh rugby shirts.
