lieka I was very disappointed in Prime Day too, I didn't buy anything. I was really looking forward to it too.

NeitherNowtNorSummat01 · 14/07/2017 11:20

They just said on This Morning that there is a sale on the Scholastic website. The books are £1 each (but you have to buy 10)

SideOrderofSprouts · 14/07/2017 11:48

Yeah I'm in one of the Channel islands

Has anyone seen any good offers on personalised cups or mugs? I'd quite like to get some of the kids in the family a cup/mug with their name on that I can fill with sweets but have a big family and need it to be on a budget.

FireflyGirl · 14/07/2017 14:16

Are you at all crafty, Your? You could get plain Poundshop mugs and decorate with (oil-based) Sharpies. Let it dry, bake it in the oven for half an hour on high and voila. Not dishwasher proof, though Grin

We could always get a Robert and a dinghy and point him in your direction, Side... and see what the Coastguard makes of that!

I bought DS a Fire Engine Trunki, as I'd been looking out for them on offer anyway, but other than that I wasn't too excited by Amazon's offerings, to be honest.

margaritasbythesea · 14/07/2017 14:20

If you are a prime customer the LEgo Millenium falcon is now 79.99.

Prime is really buggering up camel camel camel of you´re not a prime customer!

AlbusPercival · 14/07/2017 14:22

I couldn't find the books on the scholastic website :(

FireflyGirl · 14/07/2017 14:28

Not sure if you would get them for anyone for Christmas teenaged daughters maybe, not sure the MIL would think it appropriate... but Ultimo are running a special offer - 5 bras for £25 or 5 knickers for £10. You can pick your size but styles etc are completely random. Link here. It's an affiliate link, but I don't know who to - possibly Rakuten marketing? Not me, anyway. I found it on HUKD, if anyone wants to check it out on there. Free delivery with the code 'SURPRISE5'.

There's also potentially 10% cash back through Quidco. Ends midnight on Sunday 16th.

OhHolyFuck · 14/07/2017 14:34

I want one book on the scholastic website, how annoying is that...

todayisabeautifulday · 14/07/2017 14:53

Here it is sale.scholastic.co.uk

You can also subscribe to their sale mailing list there.

I bought 20 copies of the same book and will give one out to each child at my son's birthday party (a long way from now). I always felt guilty about the amount of plastic crap that I contribute to throw at the world with party bags, so this time for £1 (yay!!!) each child will get a book, and hopefully they can recycle it if they don't want it...Smile

MrsGotobed · 14/07/2017 15:41

Your - last year there were initial mugs and glasses everywhere for all budgets. I think initials are still popular now or do you want full names?

Matalan alphabet mugs £2
The Range mug £1.99

sunshineunicorn · 14/07/2017 18:12

May have already been posted but if not imaginext castle £15.99

Tattybogle89 · 14/07/2017 19:29

That's a cracking price for imaginext castle!

So I had a root around in Argos website and they have a lot of toys with 'lowest price ever' marked underneath. Have price matched quite a few and there are bargains to be had definitely. There are lego sets and playmobil for example, which are a lot cheaper at Argos than elsewhere, so worth looking out for the lowest ever price logo.

The playmobil 123 set is £30 Debenhams for example

This angry birds lego is £32.50 half price on lego website.. yet £14.99 in Argos!!

Thomas sketchy fun and station masters case at Argos. Very cheap!

If you go into clearance toys and there's a lot cheap but not necessarily marked as reduced.. a lot of the 2 for £15 toys in there are under £6 each so definitely a good price.

Big order to AliExpress last night to fill advent calendars and fill party bags for birthdays later in the year. Feels good to be properly started.
