Mother Christmas can now relax, the stealth and the hushed voices are done and we have been visited by Father Christmas for 2016.

I do love it all, but scared bloody stiff I wld wake DD2. But I think she has got away with another year believing. Phew!

DD1 also loved being my elf. Xxx Happy Christmas all... Have fun delivering yours.

He's been here too. I was all ready by 9.30. Our stockings are hung (and stay) downstairs so there's no ninja-ing required of me tonight.

MistressMerryWeather · 24/12/2016 22:56

Nope as 9 yo DS1's arse is nipping buttons at the moment.

He's been trying but he just can't fall asleep.

I, on the other hand, could happily konk out right now.

periwinklepickspoppies · 24/12/2016 22:57

Mine creep downstairs too so I've brought the fucking noisy windchimes in from the garden and hung them on the lounge door, that'll teach them not to be nosy teenagers.
Grin

Ginmakesitallok · 24/12/2016 22:58

Dd2 (7) was nagging us to go to bed since 4. We managed to keep her up until 7. Dd1 went off to bed at about 9.

BertrandRussell · 24/12/2016 22:58

No, because the children are nowhere near asleep. To be fair, they are 21 and 15, so it's a bit much to expect them to be........ Grin

And dp is still wrapping, anyway!

SatsukiKusakabe · 24/12/2016 23:02

Nearly 3 year old just woke so haven't done it yet. 5 year old has rigged a bauble with coins in it next to his stocking so he'll hear it when Santa fills the stocking off his door.

So looking forward to that Xmas Grin

PandasRock · 24/12/2016 23:04

Yep, he's been here too.

2 dc asleep, one not (but he's no longer a believer so that's ok).

What's the betting that H wakes the dc up as he goes out to Midnight mass, and they all try to get up for the day? Wouldn't mind if he was at all religious (he's not), or if he could just manage to come in/out quietly (like the rest of us!) but he's insisting on going, and I think I'm going to regret Santa's early delivery...

dalmatianmad · 24/12/2016 23:07

I would love to rewind the clock and have them little again! I've barely seen my teens today, they have both been in the bath and I'm now suggesting they go bed buy theu are looking at me like I'm crazy Xmas Hmm

HardcoreLadyType · 24/12/2016 23:09

Mine are teenagers, and are all likely to still be awake when FC creeps in, in about half an hour.

At least I know they're awake, now. They have recently admitted they had been awake each year for quite a few years, while I was doing the sneaking in thing. It's all part of the collusion. They pretend they believe in FC, and we pretend to believe that they believe. Grin

MsAwesomeDragon · 24/12/2016 23:11

He's been here now. But he still has a couple of presents to wrap because he's been somewhat disorganised this year. The treats have been eaten and I'm thinking I'll just go to bed (maybe hide the unwrapped presents, CBA to wrap any more now)

FedUpBird · 24/12/2016 23:14

Yep, he's been Xmas Smile

He's Been!!! Anyone else delivered yet?
Juanbablo · 24/12/2016 23:17

He's been! We still had building and wrapping to do so didn't get done until about 11 but I'm relieved we have accomplished our mission without waking any children.

Maudlinmaud · 24/12/2016 23:20

He's been here, but the stupid fecker forgot the batteries!

Beth2511 · 24/12/2016 23:20

JugglingFromHereToThere · 24/12/2016 23:21

Ooh, finally caught on camera!

Foureyesarebetterthantwo · 24/12/2016 23:24

Aw, it is lovely when they are little, what a cute photo! Mine are older, one asleep, one awake. I managed to convince them to leave their stockings downstairs this year (on the basis they are so heavy it's a pain for FC to carry them up the stairs). I've already been asleep for an hour or so then got up to do the business. I don't think I could wait til they are in the deep sleep they won't hear a rustle, likely to be after midnight for one of mine.

PrOvOkeTheGrinches · 24/12/2016 23:24

Not yet!

I think the 12 year old is asleep but the 9 year old is just dropping off! We still share a bed so I'm in bed for now too as he falls asleep faster when I'm in bed too.

I'll give it 20 minutes then ninja roll outta here!

Presents were removed from attic this morning and hidden so will be an easy job to deliver them downstairs.

CashelGirl · 24/12/2016 23:28

Oldest (7) is so scared that she won't be able to sleep and that Santa won't visit, that, surprise surprise, she can't get to sleep. She also needs a poo but is in a "holding it in" phase which is driving me insane. So she is lying there, stuff as a board, red as a tomato, huffing and puffing. It is going to be a long night....

HemanOrSheRa · 24/12/2016 23:30

Good grief, No! MiL/FiL/SiL + various children have only just left. MiL left her phone and bank card here after one too many port and lemons. I still have wrapping to do while DP clears up the kitchen. DS is coming down from a J20 high. I did just put my head on DP's shoulder and ask him 'When will it be over' Grin.

PlumsGalore · 24/12/2016 23:32

He's been here too, even though the DC didn't put out their stockings or leave him any mince pies.

They might remember when they roll in half cut in a few hours.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 24/12/2016 23:32

My DS16 announced tonight that he would go to bed early (11pm) and go straight to sleep so that Santa can visit him. Considering he's normally nocturnal and the king of the midnight feast (regularly making himself a meal in the middle of the night while we are in bed) I was highly amused, particularly when he said he was going to set his alarm for 6am to come and bounce on our bed with his stocking Xmas Grin

He is very sweet. Just a big kid really.

franke · 24/12/2016 23:37

Well, Mrs Santa fell asleep on the sofa so Mr Santa dealt with it all Blush. But yes, carrot and mince pie eaten, glass of wine imbibed, gifts distributed. I'm exhausted.

clumsyduck · 24/12/2016 23:41

He's been here too :) all treats and drink for Santa and reindeers eaten with a few crumbs left for effect . Just the stocking for bedroom to go on my way back from the loo when I go for my final alcohol induced Wee of the evening Grin

Merry Christmas all !

SuperflyTNT · 24/12/2016 23:41

He's been here too - DD(18) quite enjoyed helping put all the presents out, and we've had a lovely day watching Christmas films and eating far too much already. Had a bit of a stocking crisis though when we went to get the beautiful linen Victorian-esque sack out from under the stairs to find some buggery mouse had chewed a huge part up to use for it's bedding. Luckily we just improvised, and had already wrapped the larger Santa pressies, so they just have sweets mostly in their smallish stockings, which DH put at the end of the beds, and then the other pressies are under the tree.
The cats have had a great time too - DS 1 & 2 didn't eat all of their gammon at dinner, so the cats were very pleased to have a bit of that! Happiness (mixed with gratefulness and guilt for having so much) all round here.

clumsyduck · 24/12/2016 23:42

andnone that is lovely
