Nope, I have no idea what a present shitting log is either.

See post 2 for links etc and note the addition of a link with more info to the mn Christmas appeal, a very good cause if you're looking to donate to charity this Christmas time.

I need one last bit of help. DS (4) would like to buy DD (2) a queen outfit! I've no idea why!! Anyway all I can find are god awful Disney princess dresses that are £££. Can I avoid getting a Disney one or are there any other ones that aren't too pricey. Anyone got any ideas?

mayathebee · 15/12/2016 10:18

TK Maxx often has lovely queen/princess outfits. My firend got her DD a gorgeous dark blue dress covered in silver stars with matching tiara.

mayathebee · 15/12/2016 10:19

Like this. It's not cheap but its not an awful disney one.

Igottastartthinkingbee · 15/12/2016 10:27

Thanks mayathebee it's only in a size 3yr which will probably swamp her. She's not long turned two so I'll probably have to go rl shopping to check sizes. Would never have thought of tkmaxx so thanks.

I had a trial run with DS's stocking last night and there is space in it! Xmas Shock I really don't want to spend too much more money though as he has lots of little things. Any ideas for cheap, bulky things to fill it up? No more sweets/chocolate though as he has plenty.

He's 9, likes football, Star Wars, Avengers, loves stationery (but already has quite a few pens/pencils in there) and other geeky stuff.

Igottastartthinkingbee · 15/12/2016 10:57

I always put mini cereal packets in their stocking to bulk it out a bit (a treat cause we don't usually have any sugary cereal mean mummy!). The other thing I've done is give them a minion towel each, got them for about £3 each a few months ago from dunelm mill. They roll into perfect stocking shape! So maybe have a look for Star Wars theme towel?

Was someone asking about decorations? I've been to M&S and Sainsburys this morning and they both have 50% off decorations. M&S had 50% off home fragrance sets and loads of half price beauty and bath sets, including some more expensive brands.

CurriedEggs · 15/12/2016 11:26

How about a magazine IToldYou ?

mrslebon · 15/12/2016 11:27

Can I ask a dumb question? When you order from Zeek, can you get actual physical gift cards or are they ecards?

PersisFord · 15/12/2016 11:30

I've got a code for 20% off at bloom and wild if anyone wants it - please say and I'll PM.

GerrardWinstanley · 15/12/2016 11:32

Itoldyou I don't know if there is one near you but our local Aldi still has lots of stars wars bits in - like insulated cups and water bottles for £3.50ish. At least you'd be spending on something practical then.

MrsBellefleur · 15/12/2016 11:48

I've just got this moon chair from Aldi for £12.99. Saving £7 off the Amazon price so I'm happy.

I think I'm almost done apart from sweets. Got everything out today and it looked enough!

Stokey · 15/12/2016 11:49

Has anyone seen any deals for Fitbits or similar? Have failed so far to get anything for Dh and now panicking!

Ihearthickson · 15/12/2016 12:14

New Look have 50% off gifts and other items across the store m.newlook.com/shop/sale_10007?intcam=LandingSalesOffers I've just bought daughter's nursery key workers a lovely black and grey wooly scarf for 6.49 instead of £12.99 and another one a grey mermaid blanket £13.99 instead of £27.99.

RosieBdy · 15/12/2016 12:46

£10 off a £50 spend at culinary concepts using code WRTY10. Expires end Jan and only valid on full price items but might help someone...

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 15/12/2016 13:34

If there's anyone in the world who still doesn't own a Robert Unicorn, my local Wilkinson's had them in store half price for £30 today. They are exactly the same as the toys r us ones. Also had other large soft toys (not as big as Robert) including tigers and teddy bears that were cheaper.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 15/12/2016 13:36

Thanks! Love the magazine and mini cereal boxes ideas! And I need to go to Aldi anyway for the Christmas food shop so will look out for Star Wars stuff.

Olecranon · 15/12/2016 13:43

A third off all toys at Tesco. I got bootsie the cat for twenty pounds. (I am ignoring the fact that I was totally finished. It was a bargain)

trixymalixy · 15/12/2016 13:43

I always put those giant marshmallows in the stockings to pad them out a bit.

primitivemom · 15/12/2016 13:44

Busy, it's very frustrating, they used to be great aswell x

MrsCrimbo74 · 15/12/2016 13:50

mrslebon Zeek do both types. If you click on the store you want in the Zeek app, it says at the top (in small print) whether it will come as an evoucher or a physical voucher

margaritasbythesea · 15/12/2016 13:59

I am very impressed with the hamper servuce from Keel Farm linked to above. I ordered 11pm Tuesday and it has already arrived. No bargain code but the prices are affordable.

confuugled1 · 15/12/2016 14:21

Second the magazine for the stocking - and the current batch are mostly the Christmas special ones that have extra tat goodies in - the Beano has a load of practical jokes, the football ones have all sorts and some of the Lego ones have 2 mini figures or a mini figure and a little car or gizmo to go with it.

Home Bargains of you have one nearby is also good for useful bits - got a little pack of tissues printed to look like £20 or £50 notes for 20p and a light sabre toothbrush with a light in that stays on for the recommended 2 minutes brushing time for £1-2, which will be useful and take up perfect stocking space!
