GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 08/12/2016 12:27

Nope, I have no idea what a present shitting log is either.

See post 2 for links etc and note the addition of a link with more info to the mn Christmas appeal, a very good cause if you're looking to donate to charity this Christmas time.

Same price in Argos with Mario kart and £5 voucher

drspouse · 13/12/2016 11:51

Has anyone managed to cancel their Hotel Chocolat tasting club membership online

I think it was under "change"?

SittingDrinkingTea · 13/12/2016 11:54

O2 rewards have a free Bodyshop 250ml shower gel at the moment. It's a full size one in their Christmas scents, I'm keeping mine for myself but it would make a good stocking filler.

SymphonyofShadows · 13/12/2016 12:22

I'd choose the 2DS over the 3DS if I was buying again, they are in one piece and more robust. We have had hinge problems with a variety of DS's over the years.

Finally bit the bullet and sorted out teacher presents (I have few to get). M&S have a lot of beauty items half price so I got some royal jelly sets for £4 and one Roger & Gallet handcream thing. The male teacher is getting choc liquers from Aldi.

Snooky17 · 13/12/2016 12:52

highfive how old is youngest ? My Dd got the 2ds with tamodotchi life that was linked earlier she loves it so much, just like Symphony said the hinges on 3ds are pants. It will depend on what games will be played.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 13/12/2016 13:07

20% off Emma Bridgewater today. Doesn't seem to be a code, think it's automatic. Can't be used on personalised stuff.

UnderThePeachTrees · 13/12/2016 14:12

I've been avoiding these threads for the last week as I'm nearly done and all the bargains are too tempting but I'm just sneaking back on for some help Blush

Could anyone body recommend a website that sells nice loose leaf tea that I could order as part of my Mum's Christmas gift, it's to go with a glass teapot and infuser I've bought her from TOAST.

Also, just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone, it's the first year I've seen these threads and they have helped me so much, I honestly haven't got a clue how I ever sorted Christmas without them!

youokayhun · 13/12/2016 14:38

I need 2 furby connects and a 3ds and I want to cry at the cost Sad why didn't I buy the furbys when I saw them for £47 in Tesco?! WHY!!!!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 13/12/2016 15:35

Under depending on how much you wanted to spend, Whittards or Fortnum &a Mason would both have a lovely selection. Or I was in Waitrose earlier and saw some Christmas infusions in a little packaged set of two which looked nice.

PiePieChickenPie · 13/12/2016 16:22

Another tea suggestion Under have a look at Teapigs, lots to choose from plus if you sign up to the newsletter you should get a free delivery code for your first order.

Highfivethatfart · 13/12/2016 16:30

I'm starting to think maybe a 2ds is the way to go - there seems to be better packages out there. Ds is 6 but has an older brother so is very games savvy. It says 3ds on his list and in conversations a 2ds gets a shake of the head, dh says the 3ds will have better graphics and be a better computer. Maybe I'll have another conversation with them both - in a descreet way - don't want to give any surprises away! Flowers

MelchettsTinslyMoustache · 13/12/2016 17:03

highfive we have recently replaced DS's 3DS with a 2DS, and he is 12 so far more into what is and isn't "cool" WRT consoles.
The 3DS (bought when they were first out at extortionate cost) broke and was repaired, then as PP's have said broke on the hinge. DS never used the 3D function once the initial novelty had worn off though he does have an issue with a squint which I think may have been exacerbated by the 3D function. Even the man in Game said that he has replaced his and gone with the 2DS so that seemed good enough for us Xmas Smile

Re: Teapigs - OBONAS16 gives new customers £15 off a £25 spend until 31/12. Not for gift sets or cheeky bundles though apparently.

confuugled1 · 13/12/2016 17:44

Just wondering whether or not to twitch on a ps4 bundle... Didn't get one on black friday as I'd only just decided to get one and wasn't fast enough out of the blocks to get one of the bundles I wanted.

Now I've figured out which one to get (given that there aren't any that have the exact configuration I want - mostly seemed to be aimed at grown ups, grrrr) I'm just wondering if I should just buy one now as prices don't seem to be dropping or if I should hold my nerve and hope there are reductions next week...

Anybody around that can remember what happened last year?

Ness1234 · 13/12/2016 17:56

drspouse I did manage to cancel my Hotel Chocolat online after someone posted several threads ago how to, I think it was under the section where you change the delivery preference, hope that helps.

Leeloo2 · 13/12/2016 17:56

Argos have this set

Little Live Pets L'il Mouse Deluxe Play Trail
404/1814

For 18.99 instead of 30! It has the same house that is on Amazon for 20, plus 2 pretty mice and a track for them to play on. I collected it today and it looks amazing. My 3 yo dd is going to be in heaven. Grin

UnderThePeachTrees · 13/12/2016 19:18

Thank you so much ItsNice PiePie and Organised i'm off to have a look now, I really appreciate it Smile

Changingagain · 13/12/2016 19:54

WH Smiths had the small thorntons bags at 2 for £1.60 today. I've bought a load for nursery but at 80p a bag they'd also make a nice stocking filler for older ones or a little extra to go with adult presents.

angryangryyoungwoman · 13/12/2016 20:35

Leeloo2
What is the difference between the two sets on argos, do you know? There is a cheaper one with a ball pit too and I know nothing about them

Theonlyoneiknow · 13/12/2016 20:44

Just having a look at the Thorntons Bundles, with the 20% off that's £28 - Is that a good deal? I've never been in one of their shops Blush

hangingoutthewashing · 13/12/2016 20:44

Place mark

lazzaroo · 13/12/2016 20:52

Help! Is anyone an expert on nail varnish? Getting MIL some vouchers for the treatment salon she uses regularly but would like a small gift to go with them, about £10 mark. Is OPI good?!

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 13/12/2016 20:52

Just a few left to get, as long as I keep track of what I've ordered. The only person I haven't got a clue for is my sister. 30's, busy mum etc. She likes things that you don't like to buy yourself usually, just no inspiration at all. Budget about £25. I'm looking at nice name up but it doesn't look much for the money.

I've been shopping for months but the pile doesn't look very big really. That's having teens I suppose.

Igottastartthinkingbee · 13/12/2016 20:52

angry the cheaper little live pet mouse track doesn't come with any mice included. They're usually £10 each so £18.99 for a track with two mice included is a bargain! Wish I'd seen it, I've got the cheaper track for my nephew but didn't realise there was mouse till afterwards. Angry

Dogmatix34 · 13/12/2016 21:01

Hoping to get my 11 year DN some headphones. Anyone seen any good bargains?
