Just updated the spread sheet Grin and everything is now in italics - ordered or bought and safely tucked away ready for wrapping or wrapped.

Totalled it all and it came to £850 more or less for all the dc, family and godchildren incl postage. So I feel slightly sick and also pleasantly relieved at the same time.

Just being nosy really....

About £100. That's grown up dd and ds and respective partners, toddler dd, gd, my partner and his dses.

SouthWestmom · 04/12/2016 21:35

Fool - every year I try to pare the people back! To be fair, I do use Christmas to get stuff they need/want - nicer versions of clothes for example.

hoolabaybee · 04/12/2016 21:43

Any old my sis does this too really makes me Angry

honkawonka · 04/12/2016 21:45

£200 on DP, £50 on my Mum, nothing for DS (he doesn't need anything, will get bits in the Jan sales) , £15 each on my 2 grandparents and 1 aunt and then £25 on dp's parents.

anyoldname76 · 04/12/2016 21:45

i feel like not getting her anything and pretending my mum hadnt told me tbh. my other sis and me exchange handmade gifts so dont really cost anything

Lovefromhull · 04/12/2016 21:46

Not started yet- ha!

OhTheRoses · 04/12/2016 21:46

I don't want to think about it but only because dd needs a new lap top and I said it will be her main Christmas present. Not including that about £700.

SouthWestmom · 04/12/2016 21:48

I think most of mine is stockings and main presents but we do have other family/godchildren and at least none of them are pretending not to get anything! Would hate that!
I'd be tempted to pretend you didn't know and carry on not buying in blissful ignorance!

£100? That's good budgeting. What did you buy them foof?

CantSleepClownsWillEatMe · 04/12/2016 22:50

Haven't been keeping track but a quick run through in my head says approx €1500. That's santa gifts for our 2 DC, also gifts for 7 nieces and nephews, parents and some close friends and their DC. Luckily we can afford it and started early October!

MummyIsAFreeElf · 05/12/2016 04:10

About £900 so far. That's for 3 dc, 1 dn, 4 brothers, 2godmothers, 1 grandmother and MIL. Still have to get 1 set of grandparents, my mother and stepfather, 1godmother and my dp

Want2bSupermum · 05/12/2016 04:17

I've spent about $400 which I think is plenty. We live in the US and did things like electronic picture frames that run off battery for grandparents, I got the kids toys 2nd hand (in new boxes) for a huge discount and DH got a nice cover for work via some discounts at work so it worked out free for me.

We don't include what we get my SIL. She is disabled and can't work so we help her financially. I sent her $2k from DH and I fornher to spend as she wishes. She ordered some stuff from Macy's which we will bring over for her.

SouthWestmom · 05/12/2016 06:34

Mine includes 4 dc, stockings, parents, BIL, and six other children, and three couples. Oh and DH!

exLtEveDallas · 05/12/2016 06:46

DH, DD, DSD, 2 x DP, 2 x IL, 2 x babies, 2 x friends, 2 x kids, 1 x dog. Approx £500 and all done (Thank God).

(DD had more spent on her this year as she's got a laptop, but I am very thankful that all the kids in the family (16!) are now over 18. Christmas used to be a bloody nightmare)

Carneddai · 05/12/2016 07:42

foof that's atleast 9 people you've bought for?! Are you making gifts? I'd be interested to know how you've done it?!

I've spend approx £80 each on dc. They're 7 & 3 and not in to games consoles, and have bikes when needed which I find are the major expense.
£100 on family.

allegretto · 05/12/2016 07:43

I haven't started yet.

HandbagCrazy · 05/12/2016 08:31

I've finished (except cheese for hampers). Bought for 3 sets of parents (PIL have split and remarried), 3 sisters and their partners, auntie, cousin, cousins baby, 2 nephews, 1 niece, 2 friends children and 1 friend. Haven't bought for DH yet as we may spend our present money on going away.

Have spent around £350 which is plenty I think especially as it doesn't include the £££ I've spent on random unnecessary decorations Xmas Grin

Roygrace · 05/12/2016 08:39

I spent 10p not.

Do tell foof. It's all relative though isn't it. I only have one DS. So can spend more on him than I would on if I had three kids.

I like getting people lovely gifts and not tat so I am happy to spend more.

RebelandaStunner · 05/12/2016 08:49

Over £600 on dc.
£100 DH
£150 others

FantasticBeasts · 05/12/2016 08:56

Yes finished. Probably £1300 ish on gifts but most of that is for the three of us, £220 on seven family members, £50 on two friends and the rest on DD, DH & me!

I like Christmas, DH & I save something for Christmas that we would normally buy ourselves if we wanted it during the year, like a nice sweater or fleece or something for one of our hobbies.

AgeingArtemis · 05/12/2016 09:09

90 quid, which is under my budget of 100, but I am only buying for 3 adults.

25.50 on two things for my brother
24.99 on two things for my mum
40 on 1 thing for my dad, but I think he will really like it.

I may twitch and get something else for mum. Brother is late teens so will get plenty from parents and GPs

Sallystyle · 05/12/2016 12:22

Nearly finished.. just need to buy something for the grandparents, my sister and dh. I have no doubt ill end up buying more presents no one needs when I get paid.

I have spent £1,200 so far and that includes my five children, in-laws and my mum. But we won't mention the Xmas tree Grin

FV45 · 05/12/2016 12:23

BAGS of time still, no?
