Underthepeachtrees our local cashconverters is selling 4 pokeballs (i guess about size of 2"sphere and have 1 small character in) for £10 I'm thinking about picking some up and filling them with my pokemon characters. I didn't buy 144 though. I can't remember if I got 24 or 50 (came in 2small bags) and think I will need 2 balls.

Lapinlapin · 13/11/2016 08:44

notenough I don know how big it is, but you can buy festive bags for bikes. Places like wilkos sell them. Could you pop it in one of those maybe?

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 13/11/2016 08:52

notenough if it's the huge castle that we have then the box isn't big enough to cover even half of a side! It's great. But enormous. We actually just put it out with a bow on and put it in the middle of the room. There were plenty of othe etchings to unwrap.
That said, if you got one of those extra long rolls of wrapping paper you could probably fathom a cover but I genuinely can't see you being able to wrap it and carry it in one piece. Otherwise you could make up the walls but not attach them and stack them up next to the main part of the castle and put it all in a box and wrap that. It would then be a matter of moments to put together once opened. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the Pia jewellery code - my mum's 70th birthday on 29th Dec so I've got her some lovely earrings.
DD (3) has asked for a high chair for her dolly - does anyone have any recommendations?

starrynight19 · 13/11/2016 09:02

Elc has 20% off playmobil and it's on 3 for 2 makes for some good bargains

I'm panicking now...6 weeks to go and I've sorted nothing!
I have a swing set from plum in my Amazon basket but with baby seat and monkey bars to add to it come in at 150..really could do with getting some money off it somehow. There's no tricks for Amazon though is there?
Mil and fil are coming to stay with us for Xmas this year and I have no clue what to get them..they're in their 60s, like gardening, cooking..very snobby about brands though and can get themselves pretty much anything they want so really difficult to buy for. Was thinking of paying for a photo shoot/ canvas for them whilst they're here, with the kids as they only see them a couple of times a year. Not sure though as only got a week to get it turned around.
Looking for Turkish themed stuff to go with a restaurant voucher for my parents..need to be cheap though!
Then got 5 families to buy for...mostly just get things for the kids/ food based presents. Did gingerbread houses with miniatures in last year..need something else this year.
Also need photo calendar bargains and ideas for a couple, no kids, 30s and live abroad..so got to post.
On top of it all I've got a lot of stress at work at the moment with late nights ans working at home evry night ...plus builders knocking down walls in our house and a ds that never sleeps.....I might just put my fingers in my ears lalalala it's not nearly xmas...

Finally caught up!

BrollyXmas · 13/11/2016 09:23

Thank you for the marshmallow pic woodwaj - it has swayed me to place an order for my 13yo even though delivery is slow and customer services a bit rubbish Confused.

So, 13 yo has asked for an iPad mini and is also having a disaster with her second hand phone at the moment. This morning we saw a deal for an iPhone 5s and iPad mini for £27 a month I think. We don't fancy paying that much per month for her phone, but will have a think about it.

Dd (5) has also said she really wants a HATCHIMAL and she knows Father Christmas will bring one. I had finished her shopping, but if* we can find one i can do a bit of a switch and keep some things back for her birthday instead. Any stock anywhere?!*

catgirl2 · 13/11/2016 09:29

Minnow - WH Smith often have the dark chocolate ones but grab quick as they do sell out!

Brolly - just spotted Hatchimals in stock on Very!

BrollyXmas · 13/11/2016 09:33

Ooh fab - thank you!!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 13/11/2016 09:34

pliko what sort of paw patrol things are u after? The entertainer has loads of bits - set of 3 games for £5, watch £2.40, walkie talkie £6, space hopper, magnetic drawing thing and more!! Argos has a set of all the pups in air gear for £18, I think asda has similar with them in regular outfits (not sure on price) I bough the air patroller for £28 from amazon warehouse deals - it arrived and is perfect! As u can tell my dd is obsessed.... everything is paw patrol in this house!!

Above people were talking about storing pokemon figures - amazon used to sell a pokemon centre which opens up so u can battle them and had spaces to store them. I paid about £6 a couple of years ago.

lucysmam · 13/11/2016 09:35

Someone please find me some cheap Minecraft figures to plonk on dd2's birthday cake!? I text a few of my school mum friends last night to see if the 28th was likely to cause them problems & they all said do it while the kids are still at school so dd's party is now going to be 10th Dec Confused

ScarlettDarling · 13/11/2016 09:49

Primark had fab Christmas jumper dresses in yesterday, only £16. They only had adult sizes but here is my (tall) 9 year old in the adult size 6. It'll be great for Christmas jumper day at school and going to the panto. They had a santa dress too but she liked the elf one because it's got bells on!

Just ordered a few copies of this! will be making a good xmas gift for the tween and teen nieces (they learnt how to sew in school and the elder is getting a sewing machine from her mum). And also giving a copy to my friend who loves crafting and loves xmas jumpers but can't knit!, might even make into a hamper with jumper and pom poms etc!

I'm considering getting a photo jigsaw for MIL - any recommendations as I'd like the quality to be good. Thanks!
