Oh clever Christmas elves! Please help me, I've decided to fill my own crackers this year but am stumped on ideas, it can't be chocolate or sweets because my FIL has just found out he's bordering on diabetic. Thank you all in advance!

Newdad19 · 16/11/2016 13:31

Has anyone seen any deals or discount codes avail that could help me get a breakfast cooking pan with different segments (something like below) for the £20 mark?

Already seems to be discounted on amazon down to 35 from 50 but looking for something a little cheaper!

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01MRH84OQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1479303033&sr=8-8&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=breakfast+pan&dpPl=1&dpID=51rfaaK68fL&ref=plSrch

Home Bargains have the Christmas Pudding style bin bags in again this year. 99p for 10.

Great for big, bulky, awkward to wrap presents or even for storing them in to keep away from prying eyes and prodding fingers (I remember as a kid trying to press the paper down on presents to see if there was any tell-tale writing from packaging showing through or looking for gaps in the paper folds to poke a finger in!)

Nursenat Ja9r posted a sewing machine bagain she saw in Aldi yesterday if that's any good to you.

wescarebecausewecare · 16/11/2016 13:56

Wait4nothing · 16/11/2016 14:18

Sorry said dd whacked my phone screen!

Anyone after sparkling wine at Sainsbury's - I got 2 proseco (£8 from £10) and 1 vintage champagne for Xmas day (£25) using the double up scheme (so paid £20 worth of points and £1)

ASpiderInTheBath · 16/11/2016 14:19

Any idea what number santa fm is sorry hide?

Changingagain · 16/11/2016 14:21

NewDad TKMaxx tend to be good for that kind of thing.

Rogl Other people have mentioned using little wind up toys, then you can have races while waiting for the food. Scratch cards tend to be popular too. If you search for cracker fillers on Amazon, lots of cheap little toys come up as well as some jokes and games. If you're thinking of something more personal and longer lasting, how about photo engraved keyrings?

LBOCS2 · 16/11/2016 14:22

rogl, I fill my own with personalised gifts for each person. I've done alcohol miniatures, key rings (plectrum holders/trolley keys/football teams), nail varnishes, eye shadows, things like that. Small toys for the littlies, blind bags etc. What's he in to?

MrsCrimbo74 · 16/11/2016 14:29

Wait4nothing Take a look at www.eden.co.uk and look at their Christmas department they have some shopper bags, page markers and some chocolate angel tree decorations for about £3. It's a Christian website

InYourHonour · 16/11/2016 14:31

LibertineLola · 16/11/2016 15:43

MrsBunch do you have a Boden code yet or would you like me to pm you mine, it's a £10 off £30 spend?

Lilaclily yes I purchased an advent. All of the other items arrived yesterday via Royal Mail and the calendar arrived this morning via DPD who text me a time slot first thing. I think this is how they are doing most people's so I wouldn't worry

Ladydepp · 16/11/2016 15:48
