Reastie my nearly 9 year old dd loves graphic novels. The Hilda ones are perfect for the age

www.amazon.co.uk/Hilda-Midnight-Giant-Luke-Pearson/dp/1909263176/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1478192753&sr=8-6&keywords=hilda+and+the+troll

Also lego and cool kawaii type stationary.

Catanddogmake6 · 03/11/2016 17:27

Reastie was also going to say "cool" stationery. Every 9 year old recently has asked for Smiggle for their birthday. However lots of places do similar stuff (and much cheaper). Also lush seems to go down well but harder to know about allergies.

Claire's Accessories have a flash sales for 4 hours only giving 40% off everything, use code FLASH40

Thekidsthatpukedxmas · 03/11/2016 17:34

Reastie might find some things in Claire's Accessories that are suitable

SnowBodyforrrrm · 03/11/2016 17:38

I saw them on eBay scarlett but it seems they aren't genuine even though some of the sellers have used the word genuine in their listings 😡 I'm a bit funny about knock offs from china especially as this has to go in our mouths 😬 I'm hoping we'll get good use of it as our drinks with friends game when the kids have grown tired of it!

rogl · 03/11/2016 17:40

Just saw this.. might be a good one for extremely hard to buy for men Grin

Help. Reastie just inspired me to sign up to the Met appeal with the intention of involving DDs. However I have a 17 year old boy and girl. Completely outside my remit (and DDs who will insist on something fluffy). Anyone got any clever ideas?

Badders123 · 03/11/2016 17:48

Cat - anything Superdry or jack wills should suit
Reastie - I second lush and smiggle

wowwee123 · 03/11/2016 18:01

If you don't yet have a smiggle account, you can sign up for their newsletter and then get 20% off your first order.

EnidButton · 03/11/2016 18:08

Oh god the inscription on that Willy care box. 'Little Paul' 😖

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/11/2016 18:15

Can anyone help me with ideas for a 4 year old girl budget about £40ish (could go bit higher) that isn't Sylvanians or Playmobil or a little live pet? I'm totally stuck!! TIA Flowers

d270r0 · 03/11/2016 18:15

I emailed hearst magazines to enquire about my red goody bag- ordeed on 27th Sep so should have been here a while ago- they said it should be with me by 11th Nov.

Thekidsthatpukedxmas · 03/11/2016 18:20

Cat the Jack Wills gift set is going to be a star buy in boots (I think this week).

Also Tesco have lots of half price gift sets (fragrance, bath etc) that would be suitable

SweetPeaPods · 03/11/2016 18:41

Thanks bobsmum will have a look

QOD · 03/11/2016 18:48

Missed me? Been on hols and missed bargains!!

Ness1234 · 03/11/2016 18:48

20% off at Joules with the code SNOWY, I still have a voucher for £5 off a £30 spend at Lakeland and I also have a voucher for 15% off at White Stuff, PM me for either. Still looking for a discount for Fjallraven, ever hopeful, ASOS don't stock the yellow classics back pack my daughter wants, shame, as they've been offering great discounts.

Catanddogmake6 · 03/11/2016 18:49

Thanks for the tips on teens. I've found a burgundy rucksack and burgundy tweed shoulder bag in the super dry eBay outlet or there are the two star Jack Wills gifts in Boots. Both are massively reduced. What do you think 17 year olds in Tower Hamleys would prefer? I don't know them but would hate to think of them being disappointed in their present.

wowwee123 · 03/11/2016 18:50

not sure where tower hamleys is but i have a 14 yo niece who has outgrown jack wills. seem to be into more high end brands.

d270r0 · 03/11/2016 18:51

Hurrah for gin has also dropped to £3.99 on amazon

smartiecake · 03/11/2016 18:53

If anyone sees any furby connects bargains please give me a shout

Catanddogmake6 · 03/11/2016 18:55

Theonlyone what relation are you to the 4 year old? Just trying to work out if looking for longevity or coolness. You could buy dressing up clothes? The proper Disney princess dresses aren't cheap but probably below your budget. They love dressing up at the age. There is always tech. Something like a cheap tablet - maybe VTech or Leapfrog. Dollies are also loved. A special one maybe with outfits for dressing dolly up. The French brands always seem nicer. Wooden make believe kitchen toys - food, tea sets etc?

Catanddogmake6 · 03/11/2016 18:56

Thanks wowee. Not sure high end brands come on a £20 budget. Grin Will have a look and see.

Thekidsthatpukedxmas · 03/11/2016 18:57

Hi Cat, I live in London, and I have to say that I don't think Jack Wills will go down very well in Tower Hamlets, a Hype rucksack would have probably been a better bet.
Anything 'sports' branded is your best bet in inner London
