Christmas in July is on QVC...I would put a Christmas jumper on but it's too warm

I'm feeling most unchristmassy at the moment. Currently decorating the hallway so everywhere is a tip and loads left to do. I did make dh put a new relocated double socket in though. When he asked why a double and not a single I advised it was because I could have a Christmas tree in the hall and put lights on it.

I am contemplating a strange part of Christmas prep tonight - I have a glut of French beans in my window box and I'm thinking about blanching and freezing some, that I might use over the Christmas for a special dinner.

I also spotted 2 things for the cupboard - a Garden centre closing down had good gloves so I bought a pair in DF's size (I am making him a "gardening bits and bobs" hamper) and I also found some nice things for DM to carry meals with her as she does a lot of travelling and needs to eat regularly (diabetes). So that is 2 people mostly sorted! Yay, only another 48 to go !!

Staff Meeting today and I did consider mentioning it but it's too early I reckon.

We're watching nativity 2 in honour of 6 months to boxing day

I almost turned on a Christmas movie to help me sleep but there was nothing interesting on Netflix last night (particularly bad insomniac night) so I watched a Star Trek instead.

I must do the French beans tonight....

Side it's 5 months until boxing day

I bought a present today for a DUncle (spotted a book that I think he'd like - I was in looking for a book on knots, which I also purchased), and an element of the gardening pack I am doing for DF (want to pick up bits now before they all go out of stores, as not "seasonal" in winter!). On my way out, I saw a Harry Potter display, which included 2 different colouring books (general, and mythical creatures) - and the same pictures in a smaller print sized book of postcards!! So I got one of the postcards books for DD's stocking.

I also picked up a couple of nice bracelets for 2 DSis's - which will either be for birthdays or Christmas.

Has everyone checked their sprouts lately? I've just taken mine off a rolling boil and they're simmering nicely now.

Ankles sore. Got next appointment Monday. Need to tell them about loss of feeling in a couple of toes! Feeling emotionally down about it all

Got the girls to do their Christmas lists though so starting to look at stuff for that and get bits and pieces. Baby chips thinks it's great as he cans uggle with me all day!!

As I'm up at this awful hour waiting to pick family up from the airport, I thought I'd do what any sane person would and use the time to google the newly announced M&S Christmas food for 2016 ...their log cabin cake, chocolate pine cones and fish fingers with salt and vinegar snow are already on my list!!

Haven't posted a scrumptious baby pic for a while...Martha is 5 months old (How did that happen?) and is a bouncing 14lb 15oz. She's an absolute star

Paper I love the look of intense concentration on Martha's face. She is really cute.

I'm on holiday and managed to pick up a couple of bits yesterday. An Emma Bridgewater bag that has a slogan on that describes DD2 to perfection and a "Grumpy Old Man" coaster for DH it also describes him to perfection

I might have just booked Disney on ice tickets frozen for mid November. Woooohoooo. That will be soooooo into Christmas build up then. :)
