Festive prep began in ernest this week with lists for hampers and a good sort out of the gift cupboard so I dont over buy like every other year!

Ive had the house to myself for the last two days and I've been binge watching The West Wing. I'm up to the Christmas episode from season 1. I now want a huge mansion to cover in greenery and white fairy lights and a big hall with a giant twinkling Christmas tree.

I'd forgotten how sad it was and now I'm a festive snotty mess

Martha and I are snuggled on the sofa. She is having an attack of the grumps and the only thing that calms her down is a mummy cuddle otherwise she just cries - proper big tears too. Poor little sausage pot. I don't mind in the slightest. My little girl wants a cuddle? My little girl gets a cuddle!

Oh goodness Paper she is gorgeous. My little DS has been giving me lots of cuddles since he got home this afternoon. They are very welcome but he is nearly as tall as me. I need baby cuddles

Baby Cuddles are lovely but I got a bony teenage (taller than me, much taller) 16yo DS cuddle today asking me what I wanted for my Birthday (which he hasn't bought but he did bring through his bankcard.) Luckily, I have had many years of DS experience and ordered earrings from him to me.

Awwwww cuteness overload. I can only offer a toddler (who is going to be a Christmas lover just like mummy). So well past the baby stage now.

My declutter is continuing and I have decided to celebrate getting into the 100's I will be getting my big case of roll wrap down and sorting it properly and binning anything that's scruffy. :)

I think thats a great idea Ratbag - I shall join you in sorting out the wrapping paper. I need to brave the loft anyway and sort out the Christmas stuff. DH just shoved it up there in some mental random fashion in January and I was waaaay too pregnant to fit through the loft hatch. Men! They just don't understand!

Baby chips is adorable. Those cheeks are yummy. I have a 3yr old that likes cuddles so my broodiness is kept at bay. ☺

I am delaying the next big declutter until the summer holidays but might treat myself to a few hours with wrapping paper.
Re hugs with DC - baby and toddler hugs are amazing but there is something special about be hugged by a "child" when you just come up to their chin
