I don't want to start a new thread but hope someone on here can help me! I was away to wrap dds present from Santa (a keyboard) and noticed there is a Hermes sticker on the box, with my name etc on it. When it arrived DP just hid it and didn't mention it wasn't in a cardboard box. It's a box I want to keep as the keyboard won't be out all the time so can't just wrap without it and the box can't just appear after Christmas like I've done before as dd is asking questions this year (she's nearly 7) and don't want her to figure it out yet.

So how do I get a sticker that's been on a box for months off without damaging the box? Thanks Amazon, and DP for not noticing

IAmAPaleontologist · 21/12/2015 15:42

Can you make a label yourself that says " dd's keyboard" and stick it over the top?

AdmiralCLingus · 21/12/2015 15:56

mrsdiddly could you get a blink box credit voucher to go in there too? I think it's a tesco company as I get clubcard points when I use it. A tenner voucher should get three rentals from there as if I remember rightly they're only about £3.49 a film

asuwere · 21/12/2015 16:33

Thank you oreocrumbs and zipzap great ideas for wrapping. I've wrapped it round a chocolate then put it in a parcel pocket thing (made from a toilet tube wrapped in paper and squished the ends in!) Bit of curling ribbon and it looks quite good. Quite pleased with it :)

asuwere · 21/12/2015 16:36

dandelion have you tried peeling the label off? It might not all come off but you might be able to make it smaller then go with iamapaleontologist's idea of your own label/sticker over it.

Dandelionflower · 21/12/2015 16:45

I have tried peeling the label off, it's not really moving, I'm going to try to get the outer layer off and then stick a very large label over the top. Thanks Xmas Smile

Dandelion flower. Try using some WD40 on it. It works the same way as sticky stuff remover. It will at least help get rid of identifying details.

Help help!!

Ds1 (5) told his granny last night that he has asked FC for Minecraft.

What is Minecraft exactly? I guess a computer game? Is it something he can play on a kindle fire? Is it just one game that you buy or lots of extras?
Have already got his main present so not looking to spend anymore on him but twitchy twitchy

Chocolateteabag · 22/12/2015 07:12

And can you buy it online or do you have to go to a ship? Panicking slightly as now firmly in the sticks til new year except for provincial town high street (no Game for miles)

dancemom · 22/12/2015 07:17

You can get Minecraft PE (pocket edition) as an app - that's the extent of my Minecraft knowledge! Think it's about £4?

BellsaRinging · 22/12/2015 07:17

Chocolate, it's a game that can be played on a computer, tablet or Playstation etc. What gaming device does he have? For PS someone has bought the new Minecraft story game as a physical game (i.e. disc) for ds, but if you are after standard minecraft on a tablet, for e.g. then it will be downloadable.
It is addictive...

BellsaRinging · 22/12/2015 07:19

Ooops, sorry meant to add that you can download it to the kindle fire-ds has it in this form, as an app. And just a game-you can get extras, but no need.

Joycey29 · 22/12/2015 08:03

Chocolateteapot - my son has a kindle fire and he has mindcraft app
App works on kids side if you have it set for children separately
My son loves it and is quite creative - no wifi needed once he is on unless you choose to link him to other people - I don't

shufflebum · 22/12/2015 23:53

Does anyone know if any of the supermarkets sell kinetic sand? Just realised it was on Ds2 list!
Can't face going into town but could do Sainsburys or Tesco fairly easily.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 23/12/2015 00:04

I saw some kinetic sand in tesco today, it's a super store though.

Chocolateteabag · 23/12/2015 00:57

Flowers thanks everyone - will get DH to download it onto our old kindle fire for him

shufflebum · 23/12/2015 08:25
