Thanks for the thread! Have just finished my first big wrapping session, from now on will only be bits and bobs

PersisFord · 07/12/2015 14:14

Xmas Grin I love the thread title, thank you!!

Home bargains had Thomas, princess and marvel busy books for £3.99 today. And I stocked up on Christmas pudding bin bags.

I'm looking for a cheap, Christmassy onesie for my 6 month old. Any ideas? maybe something wintery rather than actual Christmas - polar bears or something.

trixymalixy · 07/12/2015 14:16

I'm mostly wrapped too, just bits and bobs still to do. I like being organised for xmas, shame I can;t extend it to other aspects of my life...

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 07/12/2015 14:17

Too scared to leave in case I miss a bargain!

ChipInTheSugar · 07/12/2015 14:18

Ideas for stocking fillers that I saw over the weekend:

Melting reindeer/snowman (Next, about a fiver)
Paperchase - lightsaber pens (and some other bits and bobs I can't remember now, but I thought of this group when I saw them!)
Waterstones - initial page markers £3.99; Camera Lens Mug £12.99,
and THE funniest books based on the old Ladybird ones, £4.99 I think

PersisFord · 07/12/2015 14:19

Oooh and I need a Christmas tree. Think I want a fakie as my feral toddler will systematically destroy it. any ideas?

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 07/12/2015 14:31

Yet more Yves Rocher.....now offering a free gift worth £50 with every purchase Shock

From the blurb it looks like you get to choose between a perfume gift set or a face cream gift set as your freebie.

neddle · 07/12/2015 14:32

later it is a good tablet, glad someone else likes them too Smile.

chip I saw the ladybird books in WHSmiths yesterday and read The Wife - thought it was very funny.
"This is a Wife. She looks very happy. That's because she's on her second glass of wine." {quoting from memory}

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 07/12/2015 14:48

Is there a different la redoute code? I've tried putting al three and they didn't work?

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 07/12/2015 14:55

Ginger, 2627 worked for me this morning.

RJnomore1 · 07/12/2015 14:59

I've just been in sainsburys and they had 20/30% off most of their Christmas gifts.

They also have the latest now cd for £10 if you buy another chart cd which isn't too bad.

Thanks for the new thread reastie!

macnab · 07/12/2015 15:07

Can anyone recommend Yves Rocher products please? I like the idea (especially the free gift worth £50!) but have never used any of their products before.

allisbrightandshiney · 07/12/2015 15:07

La redoute code not working for me either Xmas Hmm

Stillunexpected · 07/12/2015 15:21

I don't suppose anyone has a HEMA code to they?

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 07/12/2015 15:23

macnab, after rediscovering them on Reastie's thread a couple of Christmasses ago, I think their stuff is fab. I have ordered dd a load of cheap and cheerful shower gels as stocking fillers, and have had hand creams, face cream (the one in the brown pot Creme Riche or something, was last year's super dooper free gift) Some of the perfumes are great, I love the Neroli essence one. The Christmas fragrance stuff last year was orange based (dd's favourite) so that was great too.

If you just want to do it for the freebie, then spend the minimum (it's usually £8 although I haven't read the small print yet on this one, will look later tonight when I get home) and go for the prezzie! I think I am going for the skincare one for my Mum as I haven't got her any skincare yet this Christmas.

Theonlyoneiknow · 07/12/2015 15:29

Thanks reastie. I still haven't really made a dent in my shopping yet. Oh dear

Thank you Atticus, I've just used that thank you! Realised last night most of ds's pjs was too small so just ordered 4 pairs for £11.80!

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 07/12/2015 15:41

Forgot I had already said thank you BlushGrin

TheWrathofNaan · 07/12/2015 15:45

Iggi

Is definitely online- I have ordered and done click and collect.

TheWrathofNaan · 07/12/2015 15:46

My last post is referring to the Asda entertainment offer!

IAmAPaleontologist · 07/12/2015 15:47

Not really a bargain but I managed to order the Dr Who Lego set that was released on 1st Dec and it is AMAZING! Unfortunately I don't get to keep it as it is for my sister. I also got a couple of the teeny tiny sets for ds1 and 2 for their stockings to bring it up to over £60 and get the gingerbread house which looks fabulous and will go in dd's stocking.

I need a wrapping session so I can assess my bits and bobs finishing off needs.

Eva50 · 07/12/2015 16:29

Any M&S codes around? Ds2 wants pyjamas that are £27.50. I really don't want to pay that much for something that won't be aired in public!
