Our Brewhive beer was insipid too! Chocolate porter least offensive but none of it great in our books. Shame, cos they are a new company but Beer52 has no need to worry!

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 20/12/2015 20:28

Reastie- there was a £10 off anything at Snapfish being talked about yesterday on HUKD. So you could still get it for just the P/P.

RoastieToastieReastie · 20/12/2015 20:44

Mn code for free mug is now expired but might sneak a look at the £10 thing then Thanks

pigley - my 5yo ds1 likes Lego City, teenage mutant ninja stuff, train sets, Spider-Man stuff, nerf etc - so maybe just see what comes up in the Argos or smyths sale in a few days?

yumyumpoppycat · 21/12/2015 01:08

Reastie I had that with a disappearing order, annoyingly it included things for dp who I hardly have anything for.

TobleroneBoo · 21/12/2015 07:48

reastie I found snapfish online chat customer service to be very good when a code I had recently didn't work, may be worth asking them about your order?

Joycey29 · 21/12/2015 07:55

Smiggle code 20OFFSWEETUK no longer works.

Just wrapped and I am out by one for a tomboy 6 year old with a creative side. Likes Lego but we have enough, obsessed with cows, likes her marble run from last years thread, no great wish for anything - even when wondering round toysrus.
Any suggestions that I can get asap?
£20 budget

RoastieToastieReastie · 21/12/2015 08:02

It's annoying isn't it yumy? Toblerone I followed thenlaters advice and found another code and now ordered but I don't think it'll get here for Christmas.

Joycey - how about the primary science kit available at Argos and other places. My two liked the experiments and now play making potions with it. Sorry can't link on phone. They have three different ones. I have the straight primary science one.

Joycey29 · 21/12/2015 08:29

Thanks - I ll look online

Huffpot · 21/12/2015 08:43

Free express delivery at Sports Direct (guaranteed for Christmas) until 6am tomorrow - no code needed

G1veMeStrength · 21/12/2015 08:58

Joycey, what about Hexbugs? Usually on offer so for £20 I'm sure the entertainer would have something reasonable.

I'm going to pretend you all LOVE the Brewhive as we haven't opened ours yet. Could make shandys for DC but itd be gallons of the stuff...

CremeBrulee · 21/12/2015 09:25

I bought a big Hexbug V2 set from the Entertainer a week or so ago for £12.50. Single v2 bugs were £4 and I also twitched on some battling bugs (like robot wars which DS loves) sets of 2 different robot style bugs with armour accessories for £9ish.

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/12/2015 09:33

Any ideas on what to include in a movie/night in hamper for sil and her dh? So far we have chocs, pop corn, small beer and wine. It's suppose to come in for around £10... Passed caring about the budget! Brain dead thanks to 2 wk old munchkin currently attached to my boob!

1122christy · 21/12/2015 09:53

joycey Iv got a tomboy 5year old, likes creative things too. Iv got her kinetic sand to try. I got a set for £20. It's sand that you can mood into shapes but doesn't go everywhere.
Or she loves her Hama beads.
Also likes animals so is getting little live pets turtle n tank and owl and baby. Both sets around £20 or under.

zipzap · 21/12/2015 11:33

mrsdiddley sounds like you have it all covered unless you want to stick a dvd in there? Or you could put in a nice soft throw - Asda have some lovely ones for £5-6 that are made from microplush rather than fleece and are incredibly soft and snuggly... (some seasonal, some plain, some with a bit of a non-seasonal pattern on - I bought a load last Christmas with Santa/Snowflakes/etc on for the dc and everybody staying so I didn't have to share my throw, we have a draughty lounge! expecting the dc to hand over the santa ones at 12th night so I could put them away for this year and they haven't - they've been out all year and still look good. this year I've got a couple more so I can take back the santa ones!)

zipzap · 21/12/2015 11:34

Mrsd oh and meant to say congrats on the 2 week old - most envious. my youngest dc is now 7 and I'm still brain dead Xmas Grin

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/12/2015 11:55

Thanks zipzap a throw is a perfect idea. Just feel like it needs something else.

MissRainbowBrite · 21/12/2015 12:27

Not strictly a present but Starbucks are selling off their bags of Christmas Blend and Espresso Roast for £2.47 which is half price. You don't have to have it ground up right away so it will keep for a while.

judgelionelnutmeg · 21/12/2015 12:43

Yes we also found the Brewhive beers were nothing special at all. Bit disappointing

asuwere · 21/12/2015 13:06

Those who bought a personalised glasses cloth, how are you wrapping it? I got one (and am very impressed so thanks to whoever linked to it!) but am now not sure how to present it..

Oreocrumbs · 21/12/2015 13:24

Oh I had that dilemma with the glasses cloth, I bought one of those mini Yule log alpini chocolates from thorntons and wrapped the cloth around that, then tied it to the log with silver ribbon ish thingy (technical term) and then wrapped.

That was my only idea ConfusedGrin

SomethingOfTheNight · 21/12/2015 13:59

For those who took out the Minecraft Magazine subscription for £1, don't forget to cancel your Standing Orders. My £1 has now been taken and their email states following deduction of £19.99 will be requested on1st Feb.

Joycey29 · 21/12/2015 14:14

Hexbugs or the turtle might do it Smile

zipzap · 21/12/2015 15:17

asuwere think I'm the guilty party that recommended the personalised glasses cloths...

I've got several - some are going with other things into little tin baubles that I got from home bargains for 39p that were mentioned on this thread previously. Some are going into little packets (pocket pillows I think they were called - think of a smaller more festive packet for a McDonalds Apple pie is the best way I can think of describing them!) that I got from Aldi - think it was about 4 for a pound. Some I'm just going to roll into a sausage and wrap to look like a little cracker then put on the tree.

I meant to get to Boots or an optician to pick up some glasses cleaning spray and/or a little glasses screwdriver - and was then going to wrap around that to wrap too. Haven't managed that so far - so it might just end up as a cracker or around a choc bar as already suggested!
