DS is fixated with curious George and I've managed to get him one without having to sell a kidney to afford it!.

He'll be so happy (I hope!) and I can't wait to see his face Smile

I'm excited about giving a few gifts this year.

I've got DH (and me) tickets to see the Impractical jokers tour. We both love them and he doesn't even know that they're touring in the UK. I'm so excited about it I could burst! Grin

For my DM, I've got her the handbag she was admiring when we went shopping together (I ordered it cheaper online!)

FIL was talking about a DVD he really wanted but as it's an old film, he couldn't find it, and he said he'd looked through charity shops and couldn't find it, but I've found it on Amazon for him (they don't have the internet)

ComeInBaldrick · 03/12/2015 14:02

I'm really intrigued to know what the specialty ingredient HerrenaHarridan has got!

FeelingSmurfy · 03/12/2015 14:03

I've had recipe books made with my own recipes and photos, I'm really looking forward to giving those to friends and family who love cooking and ask me for my recipes

AlbusPercival · 03/12/2015 14:33

The one I am most excited for is for DGranny.

She lost her brownie badge when she was a brownie herself, as it was during the war replacement ones were in short supply so she never got a new one.

I have sourced for her a vintage brownie promise badge and matching necktie, and will put it with a copy of the brownie promise and law from the time

This is a lovely thread!

I've got dd tickets to go see her favourite tv shows tour. She'll be absolutely thrilled

DS wanted an iPad, Santa brought him a cheap tablet a couple of years ago and it was utter shite, never worked properly. We told him no way could Santa bring an iPad they are for grownups only (then he listed off all his pals who have them!) and said he'd asked for a tablet instead. Which he did. But Santa is bringing an iPad (mini) and I just know he will die when he sees it and I'll probably bawl I cannot wait to see his little face!

What a lovely thread Xmas Smile

WineOrSleep · 03/12/2015 15:59

Oooooh obi good luck, let us know how it goes!

What are you planning for it?

mumtoone84 · 03/12/2015 16:51

I'm surprising my dad with a trip to Canada in April. He lives a few hours away and is visiting us on the 21st. I can't wait to see his face!!! I've bought little gifts that he has to open in sequence that offer little hints to what his present is. (Rocky biscuits, maple syrup, Canadian bacon DVD and a diary with the dates marked out. Last present is his ticket). He'll guess something is up having to open them on the 21st no doubt. I'll just say it's little things I want him to open now....

3yo DD is having a Lalaloopsy Color Me doll that she spotted on YouTube back in about August and has been talking about ever since. I had a bit of a job getting hold of one, as they don't seem to be stocked in the UK. I look forward to seeing her reaction!

Savagebeauty · 03/12/2015 17:21

A 1935 map for my partner which shows the street where he lived as a child. And my street is on there too. I've had it framed.

franksNbeanstein · 03/12/2015 17:21

A metal detector and Lego Education simple machines set for DS(10). He thinks he isn't getting the detector as it's too expensive and he doesn't know the Lego set exists but it's his dream! Oh and a Dan TDM baseball cap!

DS(4) a huge car park/garage and a Hulk plush. He will squeal at all his presents but the car park he's wanted for ages as his old one has broken.

I literally cannot wait for them to see their personalised Lego figures. DH has one too that is a special geocaching one that you can monitor online! I want to jump up and down with excitement!

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 03/12/2015 17:55

Geocaching Lego? No way am I telling dh that exists, I'll never hear the end of it! Grin

bruffin · 03/12/2015 17:57

The quidditch jumper i am knitting for dd 18 if I finish it time Smile

iklboo · 03/12/2015 18:05

A Fallout 4 Vault Boy bobble head figure for DH

Lego Technic RC Volvo digger for DS

Toy train set for FIL's wife - she was saying she had always wanted one growing up & wasn't allowed cos 'it's a toy for boys (she's 70).

Baubleicious · 03/12/2015 19:55

MsAdorabelle I was so excited when I saw it! It's an official Geocaching one on Fab Bricks. You can make it look like the recipient! It's designed to be taken and put in another cache everytime it's found and you can track it online through the app

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 03/12/2015 20:34

Sounds awesome Baubleicious. Grin We have already got some trackables but he'd love that. I wonder if I could get him one for Christmas.

CaptainHammer · 03/12/2015 20:39

comeinbaldrick Agh I'm so jealous, love the impractical jokers and it's sold out!

I've bought DH a lot of Fallout 4 stuff and a custom figure, he will love it! Can't wait!

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 03/12/2015 20:41

Grr, just tried to use the Fab Bricks website on my phone and it keeps coming up with 'please select torso'! Will have to fire up the old jalopy.

Baubleicious · 03/12/2015 20:43

That's exactly what happened to me last night...drove me crazy so I stormed off to relinquish DS1 of the laptop. It's worth it tho!

FeelingSmurfy · 03/12/2015 20:52

I have used can bricks in the past and they are fantastic!

strictlylurking · 03/12/2015 20:52

I'm very excited about buying my mom a subscription to Stitch Fix. She never buys herself new clothes and she's just started a new job where she needs to dress smart causal (after a thousand years of working a job with a hideous uniform, when she got her new job she said she was thinking of burning the uniform, hah). She never knows what to buy herself, or what looks good on her, so will be lovely to have someone help her find things she likes that also suit her.

SideOrderofChips · 03/12/2015 20:53

I am excited to give DD1 her ipad as she doesnt think she is getting on.

Im am excited about dd2's bike and most of her presents

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 03/12/2015 20:57

Coldplay tickets for my mum...I could actually wee myself with excitement!

LikeSilver · 03/12/2015 21:00

What a lovely thread.

Mine is for DS's surrogate Granny, a woman who lives in the same retirement complex as my Mum. She's a widow and has no family. She is a lovely lady and she loves cuddling DS, she knits him things regularly and I send her photo postcards to thank her and she's thrilled with them. She won't be expecting a present at all but I have got her a knitting bag and needlework bag personalised with her initials, and wrapped them up with a reindeer footprint Christmas card from DS. Just a little something, really, but I hope she will be touched.

I also have had a cushion handmade for my Mum with a tree and the names of her (14!) grandchildren on each branch of a tree. It's beautiful and she will love it.

HeyMicky · 03/12/2015 21:10

Vic and Bob tickets for DH and a cheap plastic watch for DD (3). She asked Father Christmas for one and will be thrilled to see it in her stocking
