DS is fixated with curious George and I've managed to get him one without having to sell a kidney to afford it!.

He'll be so happy (I hope!) and I can't wait to see his face Smile

DS1 is getting a car. Just a cheap little run around but I can't wait.
Am going to wrap key in small box, small box in bigger box a few times so he can't guess!!

NewLife4Me · 02/12/2015 23:17

Ok, this may sound sad but it's what she really wants and I've had to have the exact one shipped from America.

It is a poster of Charlie Parker - Saxophone player of yesterday for those who don't know.
She has lots of normal presents too, but didn't think we'd get one as really rare.

Whatsername24 · 02/12/2015 23:20

My 15 year old son had asked for some Beats but his phone broke a few weeks ago and he was quite specific about what he wanted as a replacement, so we told him that if he had that phone then it would have to be his main Christmas present which he was okay about.

He's been working particularly hard at school though so I've bought the Beats after all, as a surprise, as he deserves a treat.

heymammy · 02/12/2015 23:20

For dd, a very specific iPod cover that she's been wistfully googling for months, 'twas previously only available for iPhones but I found one tonight for her iPod Xmas Smile she is gonna freak!

(Disclaimer: it's coming from China and probably won't get here in time for actual Christmas)

MummyPig24 · 03/12/2015 07:24

I think ds1 will be thrilled with his Nintendo 3DS. He's mentioned it before but has no idea that we have got him one as they are expensive.

hufflebottom · 03/12/2015 07:41

Dd is getting the dreaded Mog. She burst into tears when we went shopping and she couldn't find one.

Secretly she's had one since they came out. So will be lovely to see her face on xmas day.

She has actually planned to kidnap my mums one.

IamSantaClaus · 03/12/2015 07:48

I can't wait to tell dh I've booked tickets to a gig and a night in a b&b . We haven't been to a hotel alone in 3 years Grin

I also made dd a fairy dress which is horrifically pink but I think she'll love it.

Awoof · 03/12/2015 07:57

Something for my dh grandma :)
She always wanted one as a little girl but she wasn't allowed nice things :( as too expensive and showy. She is such a quiet lady, to the extent that she only speaks if spoken too. But this year we've become friends in a way and she has told me little bits about her past etc.
She's 92 and I am absolutely bouncing to give it to her Grin

FretYeNot · 03/12/2015 07:59

My 14yo dd2 is mad on the anime Black Butler. I've managed to get her a set of figures from the series. She has no idea. All she asked for were new pyjamas.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 03/12/2015 08:02

the laptop for Ds. he knows he's geting one but what he doesn't know is that i've saved up over six months to get some extra cash together to upgrade the one he's getting to a top of the range model. he's going to be absolutely thrilled. he's a very lucky boy and he knows it andi'm always proud of the fact he never brags or shows off about what he's got or is getting. he could be a brat over it but he isnt at all

Pranmasghost · 03/12/2015 08:25

A 'real' ukulele for dgs aged 6 :)

CoodleMoodle · 03/12/2015 08:35

DD's play kitchen. It's lovely, all wooden and pretty, and was only £60 from Asda! She's got a little plastic one someone was giving away and she loves it, so I think it'll be a hit. She's also getting play food, saucepans etc from family to go with it. The only issue is going to be putting it together - it's huge!

And we bought DM/PIL photobooks which I can't wait to receive! DM's is just of DD, PIL's is of their three DGC. I want them to come nowwwww.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 03/12/2015 08:50

I've got DM a beautiful watch which was 70% off and which I otherwise would not have been able to afford. She will love it and I can't wait to give it to her!

ElfontheShelfIsWATCHINGYOUTOO · 03/12/2015 09:11

ahhhh love threads like this! Proposals, special ingredients, surprise visitors, its all so heart warming Xmas Smile

For me the one I most excited about is also the one I am dreading most because I fear it will drown out all the other amazing gifts. Got DD a really lovely white samsung tablet. she is desperate for an ipad, we have told her they are too expensive and even for FC, so she will be in heaven, however I fear it will be at the cost to all the others.

bushtailadventures · 03/12/2015 09:14

A Fisher Price Elephant Walker for dgd (10 months), it has a bouncy seat and as bouncing is her most favourite thing in the world, it seemed like a good idea. Mind you, we had to get it shipped from the States as it never seemed to be in stock here, so if she doesn't enjoy it, I will be gutted a little disappointed Smile

florentina1 · 03/12/2015 09:23

Sylvanian family for my 3 year old GD. Mine were too old for them and none of the other GDs liked them.

Can't wait to play with, might even let her join in.

SlurplePurple · 03/12/2015 09:37

2.5yr old dd has been admiring her cousins crawling baby annabel since last xmas and we have got her one this year.
She plays with her cousins doll every weekend and always cries when she has to leave it behind at the end of the day so I'm very excited to see her face when she gets it.
It was 25% off when I bought it too!

TheOnlyPink · 03/12/2015 09:59

Loved reading this thread!

I've lots of gifts I'm excited about giving, but the one I'm really excited about is a Gryffindor scarf for my 8 year old ds. One of his favourite gifts from last year was a Hogwarts mug, so think this will definitely top that!
For my 4 year old ds it's a blaze and the monster machines toy. They aren't out here yet, so he thinks they don't exist, but was able to get one shipped from.amazon US.

Cant wait!!!

LongHairDontCare · 03/12/2015 10:36

This thread has made me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy Smile

I made DD a blanket when she was born and DS (3yrs) wanted one too. He asks for it all the time, so I've made him one for christmas. It has his name on it and a little sun, moon & stars because I tell him thats how much I love him. I hope he loves it!

putthePuffindown · 03/12/2015 10:48

I don't know if it'll work as planned, but if.it does then it'll be the best gifts we give. I've bought some plaster of Paris to make casts of our newborns hands/feet to give to all the grandparents if she ever arrives!

GinThief · 03/12/2015 10:56

I am really excited to see my dads face when he opens his present. He's had a really tough few months and didn't get round to making his favourite sloe gin. So I have made it for him Xmas Smile

NotEnoughTime · 03/12/2015 13:24

LongHair

That has made me cry (in a good way) so sweet Smile

HoggleHoggle · 03/12/2015 13:31

We're getting an indoor play tent for ds (2). Will set it up on Christmas Eve so he comes down to find it Christmas morning. But even better, I have decided to put a talking Bing for him to find in there. He's bloody obsessed with Bing and I can't wait to hear how excited he is while he's rustling around the tent and finds a friend.

IShallCallYouSquishy · 03/12/2015 13:31

DH spent ages on line finding a specific type of dolls house for DD. We got an eBay bargain but have had to spend a bit of time sanding and cleaning it. When DD sees it she is going to be over the moon. And I love that it's been a bit of a project for us too. Makes it that extra bit special

insan1tyscartching · 03/12/2015 13:57

I can't wait to give dd1 a designer handbag she has been wanting. It is sold out and I have been googling for the last three weeks to see if I can get hold of one. Went on ebay the other day and one was listed just 10 minutes previously. Bought it at an inflated price, paid the duties and rapid airmail posting so it has turned out expensive but dd will love it and will most likely cry buckets.
